DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY OR FACTORIA! Public Storage no longer values their customers and its now all about corporate greed! They pay their employees minimum wage and no longer maintain their facilities. 1) Since July periodic checks revealed the secured gate broken and the gates left open 24/7 (for weeks on end). Further the big storage building "loading gate" has been left wide open all day long during this time! 2) A hasp lock (screwed on from the outside), that could be pried off in seconds, is all the protection I had. 3) I found credit cards stashed under the unit door. When Police would not take them at the precinct (another story) I sleuthed the owner. Discovered she rented from Factoria (the flea pit) and all her belongings were stolen. Odd the cards end up at this facility! 4) Only nine cameras monitor the entire facility! Two are broken! 5) The big building has two carts--all that steer poorly! The walls are a battered mess--they are not smart enough to invest in fixing them. I have seen zero maintenance done. Run! Dont Walk! My stuff is now at Urban and I can sleep at night!

Rodent issue discovered prior to New years by wife (feces and smell) 2015 Waited till after New Years on 1/2 to see the damage for my self. Talked to Vira, was told that no exterminator can be scheduled, must got through regional manager. Regional Manager name and number given, was told by Vira to call tomorrow 1/3, because he would be gone already, this was 4pm PST. Was told by PS that exterminator would lay down rat poison. Called exterminator ourselves and was told that is the last thing they would do, have a new issue of dead rats in our stuff. Tweeted public storage. Regional Manager emailed 1/3, attempted call 1/5, phone number given gave fast busy. Called 1-800 on website, redirected to specific storage location. Another onsite visit today 1/5, Regional Manager was there, however did not talk to wife. So far the response from Public Storage has been pretty unsatisfactory and with no empathy. If you have stuff here, please check on your stuff, rodents typically dont stay in one place. We are an outside unit towards the hill aiming west SE 48th.

Service was great - We went in looking for basic information. The woman who helped us helped us figure out the best size storage unit for our stuff. She also took the time to leave her desk and show us the exact unit we would be renting (if we chose to rent that day). Although we didnt rent the same day, we did place a reservation on the unit to rent out in a week, when we are ready to move. Pricing was competitive - The prices here were comparable, if not cheaper than equal size storage units or smaller that we had looked into. It is also nice that when you begin renting in the middle of a month, the month is prorated so you are only paying for the days you are actually renting, not the whole month. Convenience - Public Storage has many locations and the one we found happened to be down the road from where we live. If we have any issues or questions, their office hours are reasonable too.

We arrived at this facility in the afternoon exhausted from traveling from Arizona as tired, hungry and frazzled as I think we have ever been. It was one of those times when Murphys Law seemed to control everything we did. Vira at this facility was our light at the end of the tunnel! She was so very, very helpful! She found us the right size unit that we needed and was super patient with our indecisiveness due to our fatigue. If she hadnt been so helpful we would probably still be standing at the front counter trying to make up our minds and eating our boxes. We returned there today (3 weeks later) and she again helped us to find a unit just a bit smaller now that we have removed some of our items. I totally recommend this facility and I hope you get Vira as your agent. She took a load of stress off of us that is for sure! Kudos to you Vira if you see this. Pam and Randy

Jamila is the best and most helpful person Ive encountered since I rented a unit through public storage. All of my interactions have been miserable with the staff over the phone but when Im in person at public storage and Jamila is working everything seems to work out fine. I no longer need to continue having a storage unit in public storage but if I ever did need to rent a unit I would make sure that I came back to whatever public storage Jamila was working at. All I can say is that if youre going to rent a unit at public storage make sure its the one in Renton and make sure you go there in person the other staff are good as well but Jamila will go out of her way to make sure that you get what you need and you are taken care of like a good customer service representative should. Shes the best, hands down!!!

I went in to purchase a storage unit. They took my money and presented me with a gigantic 8 page fine print contract. I said this will take some time to review and asked for a copy so I could review it. They refused to allow me to leave the property to review it. They have no facility to review the contract nor would I like to stand or sit in there office to review a contract of that size. They absolutely refused to allow me a copy to first review. That is strait up shady buisness. I requested my money back. I went to renton self storage and they imediately gave me a copy of my own to review at my leasure.

Property Manager Sean was very professional and knowledgeable while being friendly at the same time. He patiently answered all of our questions and then took us to the storage unit to make sure that it was what we wanted. He explained all of the paperwork and the workings of the place, including the automatic door (procedures for entering and exiting), elevators, how to get to our unit inside the building, and just about everything else we needed to know. I wish all people were as friendly, knowledgeable and professional as Sean. He is an asset to Public Storage.

Showed up to find a different lock on my unit. About half of my stuff was stilen, and someone elses trash was put into my locker. I was told this has never happened before, clearly untrue and to make matters worse I was charges for a new lock, and the very month this was discovered my rate increased by over 25%. This place is a rip off and have had several thefts recently, based on the information they used this is probably an inside job.

They raised my rent, will not let me prepay, will not allow me to change my due date, they charge a 10$ convenience fee for payment by phone. Their staff lacks friendly customer service, and they never have enough wheel carts to go around so you dont have to carry your stuff to your rented unit space by hand into and out of the elevator. This place kinda sucks, but our stuff stays nice when we check on it so we keep paying on it.
