PRICE FRAUD. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. Im kicking myself for not heeding the warnings from others about Public Storage in Sammamish. After a few short months of renting a unit, Public Storage raised my monthly rate by $21 per month (a 14% increase). The exact same unit is currently renting for a whole lot less money. When I called the on-site manager to inquire, he told me "thats what happens in the real world." He could not care less whether I or anyone else stays as a renter at Public Storage. The site manager told me that Public Storage regularly raises the rental rates throughout the year, even though he did not make the same admission when I first rented the unit. Also, he didnt care that the exact same unit was renting for much less money. He suggested that I call the corporate office to see if they would be willing to help me. So, I called corporate Public Storage. Like the local store manager, corporate Public Storage didnt care whether I or any other tenant stayed or left. The phone representative told me that he was powerless to do anything because the corporate officers of Public Storage made a decision to raise the rates and that he wouldnt make a change for any customer. Evidently, this is not an isolated occurrence. RENTER BEWARE. Shop harder before renting at Public Storage. You are lured in with a publicly advertise rate; however, they raise the rate regularly and at significant increments. Its important to know that you (as a storage unit renter) have many other, local options. Public Storage of Sammamish doesnt care about keeping its customers. This is a classic lure and mislead tactic by Public Storage of Sammamish. I find it sad that the site manager spent so much energy and time trying to convince every new customer to give him a 5-star review on Google. In reality, though, the company and local store dont care about anything more than taking your money and having a public image that does not mesh with the real world.

Had good ease of service from the start. Very competitive rates. Great availability for unit. Helpful staff when I called in with questions, and they guided me to the best available rates, even though it was a unit not at their facility. Prompt follow up, flexible when I needed larger unit and desk guy made it happen. The unit was clean. My gate entry was easy to use. Instructions were clear and doable even though I was under big pressure moving house. I saw some really rude other customers at the desk when I was moving in yet the guy managed to keep calm and still help the rude customer and help me promptly an respectfully. When somehow a payment was delayed, the customer service team as a whole from phone rep to managers helped me ensure it wouldnt happen again. My only wish is that the rate was slightly lower. Storage seems to be pricey everywhere! I wish I could get a discount for taking a unit for a year & paying a year in autopay guaranteed! I would give a 5 Star for that. My compliments to John, Brian, and Sandy in customer service as well as district mgr, Karl Gill. No one was too busy or too important or too senior at the company to help me. Keep up the good work. Update on 6/6/16- Want to add that Mark in particular (along with others) showed extra steps of follow up & initiative, making sure everything in the transition to new unit was 100% satisfactory. We had a storage unit at this location for almost 19 years, something we never expected. We didnt use it very much after we pretty much filled it up with items gathered over previous moves and no room in our home/garage for storage. We only encountered one problem when I had trouble getting the door to raise and due to scheduling it took a few weeks to get the door repaired but I had explained there was no urgency for repair as we were going to start going through the items to determine what was needed and what should be donated. We recently decided that we needed to clear out the storage unit and I contacted the local manager, Mark, to get guidelines and timelines. Mark couldnt have been more helpful and answered all the questions and even stopped by while we were sorting and reminiscing on so many of the items. We emptied the storage unit in a week after several trips to donation stations and some "re-arranging" in our existing garage. I met with Mark to "check out" and he was great, providing our closing receipt and advising no additional charges since we were out before the end of the month. It was a very good experience and we tribute most of that to the service provided by Mark.

Like so many others, Public Storage has been a lifesaver, offering me storage services both personal and professional for the past six or seven years. I know Public Storage facilities dot the landscape all over the USA, and that their "product"--an empty space for storage is essentially the same wherever one goes. So the difference in facilities is not substantially different. The difference is undoubtedly in the people who manage the various Public Storage properties, and in the case of the Sammamish Public Storage, his name is Mark. Mark is--may I say--markedly different. For the brief time I have known him, his cooperative and helpful spirit has made me grateful that I chose that storage facility. As manager, Mark not only makes a difference, he is the difference. (I say this knowing there have been numerous managers at the Sammamish facility.) Public Storage is fortunate to have a person like Mark taking care of their business while he is helping me take care of mine. Too often we think that "the job makes the man," but in cases where customer service is the essential, central requirement, "the man makes the job." Thank you, Mark.

Just came in again to manage maintain and also upgrade our our unit on 8.22.2016. This time we had Anji from a different store. We noticed no difference in time it took to do all the paperwork. She did a superb thing walking us on the property and helped get us unit that is perfect for our needs. Thank you ANJI. Thought I would take a moment and also mention your help as well being from a different store. Hope you read this review and get a smile. Megan has been a tremendous help in choosing a proper unit for a company. We have actually rented before in the last five years from this very location it seems as though their customer service has improved tremendously I would highly recommend

I should have wrote this a long time ago. Form the time I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm smile and how can I help you. It felt genuine. They asked me several questions to see what I was storing and they found the right type and size of space I needed. They never tried to oversell me anything but really tried to find me what I really needed. They seemed to really listen and care about me. During my length of stay the hallways were always kept clean. Once I needed a new light bulb outside my unit and they immediately took care of it with hesitation. They have done an outstanding job and deserve recognition
