Sadly, youre forced to use a star here on Google Reviews. My real review is 0 stars. In short: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I saw an ad on Craigslist regarding a great job opportunity with Opti Staffing. Jeff reached out to me and asked me to come in for an interview. After he got off the phone with me, he sent me a long employment packet to fill out BEFORE the interview. I noticed these are the type of forms I filled out after I had an interview at my current job and was going through training; not before I even met my employer. When I got the forms, I was shocked at what they were having me fill out, but the job sounded great and the fact I got a call back made me confident in filling out these extremely sensitive forms. You will need to fill out your SSN, tax forms, credit and background check forms, a few waivers, and you will need to give them multiple references; about 20 pages in all. All of this happens before you even meet an Opti employee. I filled out the forms the night before the interview, and when I got to the interview, I had to fill out a few tax screening questions (so this company can get a tax break off of you, even though youll never hear from them after the initial interview). I had the interview and it went fine. He asked normal questions about what you do at your current job, how dependable you are, and so on. Once the interview was over, Jeff said he would get in contact with this employer regarding the shipping clerk position and proceeded to talk up why staffing agencies were great (I had never used one before). I left feeling excited about the job and looking forward to hearing from him. 3 weeks flew by and I finally sent Jeff an email; never got a response. I finally looked up Opti Staffing reviews and slapped myself in the face for being so naive and stupid. This place has terrible reviews for a reason. *** The realization you need to understand before applying here: Looking back at the process, I realized the shipping clerk position I initially applied for was most likely fake and it was created to get candidates in the door. All Opti Staffing wants to do is add to their candidate pool to make it look good to employers who are trying to find a staffing agency for their company. You are simply just a number and will, most likely, never hear back from this place again. You are better off working hard at finding a job yourself. I told all of my used references to not speak with them and to just hang up, since enough time has been wasted with this dump. I will be filing a claim with the BBB since this company has ALL my personal info and waivers to check my credit and all my professional references. I doubt an email telling them to delete me from their system and to shred my paperwork will get me anywhere. Do not, and I repeat DO NOT, waste your time.

Well, they handed me a piece of paper with instructions on how to post a Google Plus review when I was exiting my interview, so I suppose I should oblige. In a word: unprofessional. I responded to an ad on craigslist for a specific job, got a call from a recruiter from Opti, who asked me some basic questions, explained the job, and scheduled me for an interview with her. She sent me an application packet to fill out and bring in with me. This packet contained an application, an I-9 and W-4 form, and a health insurance benefits acceptance form. I asked my recruiter about those last 3 items, because I hadnt interacted with a staffing agency before and am wary of signing such documents and disseminating such information to an agency I am totally unfamiliar with. She said it was fine if I wanted to wait to sign them until I had a job offer. When I arrived for my interview, I was greeted by a receptionist wearing see-through leggings, a baggy flannel shirt, and knockoff Ugg boots. Classy. She flipped through my packet and pointed out I had not completed all of the forms. I told her the recruiter had given me permission to leave them blank. Her response was, "Oh . . . ok, well, I guess thats ok then. But just so you know, we get fined $2000 for every person who leaves this benefits form blank because of the Obamacare thing. So . . ." Please. Sell the guilt-trip somewhere else. My recruiter came out for me shortly, and led me back to her cubicle - which she shared with another recruiter. Their desks are back-to-back, so I had a stranger literally looking over my shoulder for my entire interview. Then, I noticed the music: there was top 40 playing in the background. Because answering interview questions with someone looking over your shoulder in a crowded, busy environment isnt hard enough without "All About That Bass" (seriously) playing at a volume slightly higher than your conversational tone from a speaker pointed in your direction. I was promised a call that Friday afternoon or the following Monday from my recruiter. Havent heard from her two weeks later. Needless to say, if I have any identity theft issues in the coming year, Ill point the authorities straight in Optis direction, since they have a whole packet on me now.

Funny how I happened upon this place, as I have sworn off temp agencies, due to the fact that they do not do the work, but get the credit. Well I found my own job, and was told I DID not need to go through a temp agency to gain employment...well HR at ABC Company, retracted that and I in fact DID have to utilize an agency, They offered the two, and since previous BAD experience with Aerotek, I chose to give Opti a try. Things appeared to be good, as they always are when the honeymoon is fresh, but as time went on, the nuances started to rear their ugly head. Aimsley which is front desk reception & Dave Loverich would be my points of contact. Very professional acting folks, but I smelled the bs. from the beginning, when you were shocked that I already had the job, & was there just to get paperwork going. I didnt appreciate being told on several occasions, I would receive a call back, after several voice mails to Dave, & Amslie trying to pacify me, saying you dont want to lose me as a client( its been a month), only to keep up the charade and continue to push me off and play me to the left. REALLY CHAPS MY HIDE! How about, you actually view people as clients, not commission d$llars . I I think if you truly did not want to lose me as a client, then it would not have took a month to get back to me for another gig, ESPECIALLY since you didnt get me the first one. YOU AINT THAT BUSY....SHEEESH!!!

I enrolled with Opti Staffing about a year prior to being placed. When I first enrolled with them I was looking for a new job due to my current position was not working out like I thought it would. The first person I made contact with never followed up with me. I then moved on to another position with another company and I needed a part time job in addition to my fulltime job. So, I then decided to contact Opti once again. I spoke to Cindy and she asked me to come in and bring an updated copy of my resume. Cindy was great! She immediately started looking for positions that I would be interested in. She gave me a lot of options. She followed up with me and told me about a position that opened up near my area with a significant pay increase. She sent the employer my resume and set up an interview. Prior to the interview she made sure that I was well aware of the company and assisted with any questions I had. The interview went great and now I am in my new position. I have recommended friends to call her if they are in need of employment. She was great through the process!!
