I should have read the reviews before I hired this company. I had hired them before about three years ago and I didnt have any crazy issues so I thought it would be a similar experience. I called Starving Students to give feedback and ask for help after having a really bad experience. They clearly didnt care and were very rude. They said they would have another supervisor call me back but they never did. The reason the move was awful was because: * The on site quote was double what they quoted me over the phone. * They came three hours late * They were incredibly slow * They got lost because they put the address into google maps incorrectly and I was charged for that time * They ruined carpets by tracking mud on them * They stepped all over drapes with muddy shoes * They tracked dog poop through my house * They broke things * They scraped our living room floor * They took personal phone calls while working * They didnt bring moving equipment except a dolly they used sparingly * They were so slow I ended up helping them unload * It cost $900+ to do this move, this cost me $400-500 in the past... same stuff. * They brought no food or water, ended up feeding them so they didnt go even slower * Couldnt read the labels to figure out where to put stuff so I had to direct them for every box * They were carrying small items and single boxes in at a time * I ended up getting on the truck and helping them Please save yourself a headache and dont use this company.

I cannot give this company a good review at all. First off, they contracted out the work to another company that didnt do the best job at all. I paid over $800 to move a little more than half of what I wanted. They had 2 rooms written down, when I told the lady on the phone 2 bedrooms, living, kitchen, and dining. What boiled my blood was that I helped the movers move. Ive used movers before, and they were professional, fast, and and easy with the furniture. Again, I cannot recommend this company at all. The prices are very high compared to others Ive used before. I moved the rest of my home much faster than the movers. Its clear they work slower to tack money on, I saw that.

They were stalling so hard it wasnt even funny. Kept trying to talk to me, etc. They also brought a super small truck. It took them just shy of 9 hours to move a 850sq feet apartment with no couches or large appliances! Thats with me doing about 40-50 percent of the work helping them! Both of them were "wore out" and red inbthe face 30 minutes in. Never again, them nor their sub contractor prestige / star moving.

The customer service was horrible they do not explain all of the fees and will charge your account even if you dont agree with the charges they have a 3 hour minimum but they charge you from the time they leave the warehouse and get to your place and back but they dont tell you that upfront also they brought a 17inch truck thank God i did not have that much do not use this company.

I have things missing and the two movers called me after the move and asked for money because they didnt get paid. They claimed they only worked for tips. I called the manager and said they in fact do get paid, and they just wanted extra money.
