I have been a member of Tacoma Center for 4 years. I joined the yoga because I wanted to improve my aging (67 y.o.) and aching body. Gradually I found more then I expected. I found there are so much positive energy surrounding me; I found, friendly, happy, bright faces. I learned the importance of chakras and how their energyaffect my health.; It is apparent to me that practicing yoga has improved my well being. I became more flexible and improved my inner strength. The training goes deeper and deeper through Initial Awakening, Shimsung, Do Tong,Brain Management Training, Master Program and other workshops.I found it simple but many times has been challenging to me but I guess this is the way to overcome my shortcomings.For example, by nature I am a quiet person and shouting was a big no, no to me. Facing this fear of shouting and practicing express the energy made me feel free. For many years I was taking blood pressure medication and about 2 years ago my doctor took me off this meds and prescribe "continue yoga". I had a few knees and feet surgeries suffering from pain for a long time. I have no pain. Stiffness of my joints is under control as long as I practice yoga daily.It gives me also mental energy. My mind is much more clear and focused. Knowing that I have an ability to heal myself and that my brain has endless potentials,and ability to grow spiritually really encourage me to put even more efforts to make difference in my life. Master Sky, the Manager of the Center is very present in my journey.She supports me, encourages me, and in her loving way challenges me as needed.She is very gifted teacher. I would highly recommended to join the Body and Brain Yoga for simple reason - improve your body function, clear your mind and grow spiritually..Krystyna Troczynska

I have been practicing Body and Brain yoga for a little over 2 years. My body is more flexible. My brain and my body are connected. My immune system has improved. I am more conscious and focus on what I do. My walking has improved and centered on my abadomen (Dahnjon in Korean, core in fitness term, or intestines in laymen term). Dahnjon is the body’s energy center. It helps me balance, improve endurance, increase blood flow . . . and can heal any physical pain, illness etc. Through meditations, I manage my emotions. Today, I took my car to the dealership for maintenance. I waited for almost 2 hours. Many customers who came in later than me had picked up their cars and gone. When the Associate told me he lost my car key. I felt calm, found the key for them, and decided next maintenance will be scheduled on a weekday. Unusual response. Learn how to breath is powerful. Through breathing I improve my energy flow, blood circulation, and even transfer energy to another person. My daughter-in-law once commented, “ I don’t know how you calm Oliver down when he has colics” Of course my ability is minimal when compared to Master Gio and Master Sky. It seems Masters don’t age. They look young. Master Sky’s and Master Gio’s healing sessions are incredible. I heard Master Gio healed cancer patients before. When I walk away from his session after two hours, I feel lighter but not as light as Master Gio who moves like a feather. He stands up from a lotus position in a flash. Amazing!! Master Sky is tough. Shall I say a pusher. I mastered some of her 1 minute exercises due to her push. I dislike the exercises but I feel super good when I accomplish the goal. “SMILE!” said the Masters. Let’s SMILE!!

I have been practicing Yoga and Tai Chi for over two years. Six years ago I got really sick as a result of every day stress from my job. I worked with different specialists, got on food elimination diet, had to use a lot of supplements. My first experience started with aura reading. That was really amazing! I felt at peace and was able to breath at the organ check-up. This is when I fell in love with yoga and meditation. The staff are very skillful at helping with the practice. During the first meditation one on one, I understood what meditation is about. I could feel the energy between my hands. I had never experienced that before. The Yoga and Tai Chi classes were exciting to me because my body was responding to the practice amazingly. I felt so extremely happy and positive. I did not need to take as many supplements anymore. I used to see a chiropractor every two weeks or more often. With the practice of Yoga, I did not have to go back for adjustments for a year and a half and that happened only because I slowed down practicing yoga when I got so busy working again. Now I am back visiting the center at least three times a week and feeling great. I look forward to seeing friendly faces, sharing the positive energy and healing together. My husband joined the membership at the center and has been consistently working on his goals for two years. We enjoy coming to the center together and having the experience of awakening and finding our true selves. The practice has helped us be more calm, more patient and happier in our relationship. Coming to the classes is a new habit for us. Thanks to all the Masters and instructors who helped us to get where we are. We greatly appreciate your commitment!

I joined Dahn Yoga over 3 years ago. Since joining, I have been able to release a lot of anger, depression and anxiety as well as having my arthritis pain reduced. I also lost a significant amount of weight. I have also found some good friends and an easy and open place to make friends unlike other places in my life. Sometimes the pain limits my range of movement, but the movements we do in class help keep my spine more flexible, reduce the pain and I think they will slow down the progression of my arthritis. I want to stay functional as I get older. If not for Dahn Yoga, I know I would have more trouble today. I need to keep my condition from making me debilitated. I want to be able to stay active and continue to work until normal retirement age. I believe Dahn Yoga has helped me towards that goal and will continue to help me as I age. I also want to be healthier and happier. Happiness is a priority and Dahn Yoga has no doubt increased my happiness. I was also introduced to the beauty and energy of Sedona, Arizona. Im looking forward to going back whether I take more training or just vacation there. Ive always wondered what the sunny states like Arizona and New Mexico were really like. I was not disappointed. I definitely will go back to experience the sun, the energy and majestic beauty again. It feels like a new home. I sometimes take time off to do other things, but I always have to return to the Dahn Center because I feel and function better when I attend classes and see my friends. I always feel better and Im always happy that I went to class. Life is better with Dahn Yoga.

A couple days before my 21 birthday without even thinking my body was drawn to this magnificent studio and I walked in. I knew I couldnt continue to live the life that I was living and I was more than ready to began making a positive change in my life. Immediately I felt so welcomed and so loved from the moment I entered the studio. Everyone is working toward their own goals and its such a pleasure to be learning and growing with such a humble group of individuals. Throughout my 21 years of life I have gone through countless ups and downs and a month before my twentieth birthday i was rushed to the emergency room due to a blood clot in my pelvis and I knew life would never be the same. Although my recovery and my healing journey was a very humbling experience it put a lot of stress on not only my mind but my body in countless ways. Through yoga, meditation and tai chi I have been able to not only see the true strength that I possess but I learned how to respect not only myself again but to treat others with the upmost respect and do everything with love. My way of thinking has gotten more positive, the relationships that I have with loved one, family and friends has gotten brighter and I have grown more in these past 8 months than I would have ever imagined. Through the workshops I have been able to see who I really am and what my purpose is in this life and all I really want to do is change the world for the better. I am just so blessed and so humble to have been able to come across such extraordinary people and to experience everything that I have been able to do so far and its just the beginning!
