I only gave them one star because you have to give them something. I worked for this company, and they are the worst company I have ever worked for! First of all, they allegedly only use environmentally friendly products, while secretly having the cleaners use products that have bleach in them! They set the cleaners up for failure every single day! All the teams are given a random amount of time to complete each clean that has nothing to do with the cleanliness of the house; if they go over that time, they are punished by getting less houses to clean, EVEN THOUGH THEYRE DOING A BETTER JOB! The company also charges teams for use of the cleaning products. Charging people to do their job! So what youre paying for with this company is a team of 2-3 girls to show up to your house with not nearly enough time to do everything they need to do, and a fear of spending too much time or using too much cleaning supplies. One of the co-owners, Jon, once came in and assigned my partner and I to clean the office (which was the most disgusting place I cleaned while working there-THE CLEANING OFFICE?!!) then he followed us around the office mocking us for what HE was forcing us to do, literally making fun of us in front of other staff and laughing at how what he was having us do was pointless. Classless pig. Then they fired me and told ESD that I was on a leave of absence, then that I quit; and wound up screwing a single mother out of her unemployment out of spite. Worst company ever. I hear Merry Maids takes much better care of their staff, and has more consistent good service, if youre looking for a cleaning service in the area.

We used Cleaning Authority for over 10 years and the service level/quality of their employees declined significantly. One team cooked their breakfast in our kitchen before they started cleaning the house. Our regular team openly complained about our family - from how much tip we left, to going thru our personal items and commenting on them negatively. The final straw was the team was using bleach (not eco-friendly/bio-degradable products as claimed) and spilled bleach droplets all over our carpet, bleaching it out. When reported to the owner, he did nothing. When you are letting someone enter your home, you have to be able to trust them. I found I couldnt trust any of the staff at Cleaning Authority Vancouver.

When the representative of this company came to my house to estimate and give me a quote, she said their cleaning staff go through everything and do a thorough job. Two girls showed up at the end of the day, tired and exhausted. I had to remind them more than once: did you clean this, did you clean that?? Finally when they left we had to clean some more. They charged me $125 for two hours of work! When I discontinued their service, the company rep. did not even bother to follow up to see what went wrong and why we did not want their service anymore. Highly unsatisfied!! I never recommend them.

From the first visit to give me an estimate I knew that if the cleaning ladies were as efficient as the man who came and gave me an estimate this was going to be a great cleaning team. These folks do not add on any costs - they just come in and clean. Their initial deep cleans really get everything clean. I have 2 long-haired pets and they did not even blink an eye. They will stay to get the job done but they will not charge you extra for it. If you are looking for a good cleaning crew give these guys a call - you will not be disappointed.

I have used The Cleaning Authority for 8 or 9 years in two houses I have owned. I am almost always pleased and on those occasions when things dont go perfectly I get good response from the office. This week Michele and Yaquelin cleaned for me and did an excellent job. Due to the holiday it was a long wait for todays cleaning and it was done with great care for my things and the whole house shines now. I rate TCA with five stars because I trust them and always am happy with how clean my house is when they leave.

Most cleans are done well, however, there are times when things are overlooked. Each time Ive notified you of these things youve resolved. I look forward to not having to find overlooked things in the future though. Overall, good clean for the price :)
