Unlike others, this will not be a positive post where I say all the great things on various review websites to in order to get a free "treat". I did not personally work with Nick, but worked with one of his agents which Ill leave nameless. My wife and I were looking at purchasing our first home, and one of the agents at Nick McLean was recommended to us. My friend who referred us, informed the agent that we dont do this as a business and needed our best interest looked after. I had the option of having the selling agent do both sides, but fought for Nick McLeans agent to represent us even after the push back from the selling agent since it cuts into his commission. Bad mistake. Our agent was fine up until the point we didnt hear from her for approximately a month as the seller, the sellers agent, and ME worked out the details. My agent recommended including a home warranty which has offered us no benefits whatsoever after experiencing a plumbing leak, only to find out afterwards the agent gets a kick back for selling warranties. We could have used that a price reduction instead. The warranty company is completely useless and three weeks later, still havent heard from them, even after I submitted my request for reimbursement. Didnt even get a congratulations. We closed, signed docs, not even a flipping phone call. This agent made money off of us and didnt do a thing other than draft some initial paperwork that I could have done myself. I ended up writing to the selling agent apologizing that I didnt go with him, as I spoke more with him than my agent did and he went out of his way to get things done for both us the buyer and the seller. Looking back we probably could have negotiated another $10k off the price of the home, but I went with the agents gut feeling as thats what they do for a living. I have no idea what is going on with the real estate industry but customer service is non-existent.

The entire staff at Nick McLean was extremely professional and highly personable. The website was a great tool to use, housing specs and lot sizes were more accurate than zillows. We worked with Cary and while looking for homes we were able to see ANY house we desired within an hour of requesting it. She made great recommendations on houses with the floor layouts and styles we enjoyed and never pressured us during the process. They made negotiations easy and got us a great deal on the house of our dreams. Nick even personally stayed late to help us out with paperwork. Simply put, they made the single largest decision of our lives a breeze.

Once we were under contract his team was able to help us with each step of the way. They organized the inspection, helped us craft a good response and even did some extra research for us on a septic issue that came up. I would not have wanted to do it without them. We absolutely love our house and you have made our transistion to Wenatchee so great. I probably should not write this here so your clients expect it but that weekend you started a sprinkler for us on our burned up lawn was over the top. Great service.

What a horrible experience for my wife and I as first time sellers. First off we got a chance to sit down with Nick personally. We went through the process and was given the impression it would be worry free process. Never was it worry free. I dont want to go into details because I could go on and on. Lets just say that this is one Realtor we will NEVER DEAL WITH AGAIN. I dont believe they earned the amount of money Iam paying them for their service or lack there of. Shame on you and your staff for the way you treated this middle class hard working married couple.
