Very upset I cancelled my membership in 2015. I have a friend who has a membership and was asked if I could come with as a guest to help train her. I went about 10 or 12 times with no issues. It turns out that the people that checked us in were too lazy to follow protocol in making me a guest account and just let me in. Then today I was told I owe 180 in fees!!!! They said that it was never cancelled. Then I spoke with the manager Lisa who basicly called me a liar and said she could save it to 70. When I tried to explain that if they were to lazy to follow protocol with the guest account that it is possible that they didnt file my cancellation correct me she just kept telling me she didnt want to argue and I can pay the 70 or the 180 or let it impact my credit. When I asked why I was never notified of this she said it is not their responsibility to check on the members that go there. So now Im not allowed to help train my friend unless I pay. Ive never been so frustrated with a company or even a so called manager in my life. Just completely unacceptable and rude. I will be telling everyone I know about this. I have people ready to cancel as soon as they get off of work. We are not as valued as they say we are. We are nothing but money to them.

Had to use this gym twice over the weekend. Was extremely disappointed and grossed out. This gym has dirt, grime and candy wrappers everywhere. It was pretty clear to me that there is little cleaning going on other than people wiping off their machines when finished. Two toilets had broken chains so you would need to lift the cover to flush. Aside from the bathroom just having an all around dirty feel. Both times there were no staff at the front desk when I walked in - had to stand around and wait for someone to appear. The stretching area layout is awful and awkward. The TVs on the machines is a nice touch especially for people that dont wear their glasses while working out. However my second day at this gym the first 3 treadmills I tried the TV"s didnt work. Sunday I cut my workout short because I was just over being here all together.

This really is a nice gym. I used to bounce between New York Schity and Franklin a lot and have been to and run various athletic facilities in NYC and I have to say out of all of them, this is the CLEANEST I have ever seen. Almost every time I went in, they were cleaning either under the machines, which they physically move, sweeping, or wiping down the machines entirely. Wow. Just wow. The employees are nice but they arent all up in your business either. There is plenty of space. PLENTY. A nice private feeling stretch area in the back with a super private alcove for the express circuit for those who are gym shy. After going back to NYC there was an issue with cancelling my membership but get this, they were reasonable! And they cleared up the issue without a hitch. Nice.

My wife had been coming here for years. Unfortunately today her 300$ sunglasses were stolen by the key rack. Called the manager and he stated there were no cameras in that area where people put their keys at. This place is not a safe place for your belongings. My suggestion is you find a gym that has all around cameras there. Either the employees or the members there stold her glasses. As I understand this also happened to someone else a few months ago. They really need to upgrade their camera system. Imagine you were working out and got hurt because one of the machines broke and you got injured. How would they know its not your fault and the machine had a problem. Think twice before signing up with this company.

This is judgement free, very very clean, the entire staff including managers can be seen doing all the upkeep and maintenance. The are super friendly, always positive atmosphere. I have been to many gyms and none come close to this one, not even other planets. For the price you cant beat it. $19.99 access to the entire gym, state of the art tanning machines, hydro massage, 12 minute ab station stretching areas enough machines you are never waiting around even during peak hours. The locker rooms are always clean and never smell! If you could give more then

Absolutely Love this place!!!!! The atmosphere is very diverse! The people who workout here are very nice and down to business. No one is ever standing around watching you workout or talking about you. The "judgement free zone" is definitely true. I never had to wait for a machine and people were really good about keeping them clean. It is huge in there and a lot of parking! The best time to go would be before 5 am in the morning, between 11am-2pm and then 10pm until 5am. I have been to many other fitness centers and this one is my favorite!!!

Very frustrated with the organization at this gym. Cancelled my membership in August and was then charged an additional month. Was told my last day being able to use the gym was September 17th. When I called about being charged an extra month was asked if i saved the slip from my cancellation, due to what sounds like the gym losing my initial cancellation slip. To get refunded I have to wait for a check to be mailed. I find it interesting that they can easily charge my account directly but not refund me that way.

Tried to sign up but couldnt, they wanted a credit card I dont use them anymore. I offered to pay for a whole year in advance, they told me no they only do that one time at the beginning of the year. I can go month to month all I would need to do is give them my checking account information. If I am willing to pay them the joining fee and a year in advance why would they need that. I just want to work out with out all my info out there.

Service was okay. Never got T-shirt for signing up, charged me for things they never told me about so I ended up paying my $20 a month with an additional $40 that i didnt have. Gave me a hassle when I tried to cancel membership. . still havent been able to cancel it.. All employees keep telling me different stories on how I cant cancel. Would never reccomend this gym nor would I ever go back.

I had not been to a gym in a while and decided to head to Planet Fitness. Found there always to be a welcoming and helpful staff. The other thing that is noticeable is how clean everything is. I have not seen a gym with the machines as clean as these. The staff is constantly keeping up with it. Enjoying the journey back to fitness

Planet Fitness asked me to leave a review. Then they lead me to the wrong location to review! I go to the Capitol Dr location. Its very nice inside and the staff are nice, but could be a few more blocks north. The neighborhood is not very nice and the cops come there fairly often! Better than driving all the way downtown though.
