I have lived in la crosse, wi for 3 years desperately searching for a stylist to somehow make my EXTREMELY particular hair ideas come to life. I was scheduled with Barry on 11/12/15. I came in with all over neutral/DRAB blonde, grown out shag/shoulder length cut hair. I wanted my blonde to be bright, cool, and beautiful again (everyone whos ever been blonde knows exactly how particular this look is) and I also wanted my makeshift mullet to be cut into something flattering. Barry did something amazing that day, and I (after $1000s spent on hair over the years and mind you I am only 20) have never been more excited, pleased, and made to feel BEAUTIFUL than I had in the metropolitan that day. Barry is officially my go to stylist and I am so excited for my next cut and color. If you want to feel beautiful and are seeking a salon to exceed every standard set in the area, schedule with the metropolitan!!!

I dont get haircuts much because of horrible past experiences at other places, but this is where Ive been going for my past couple haircuts. My first experience was pleasant and the haircut was nice, but my second experience absolutely blew me away! I was skeptical setting up an appointment with a girl named Courtney, a level 3 stylist I believe. Courtney went totally out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and spent the first 10 minutes talking through what I wanted, how I wanted it, and solidifying everything. I have waist length, thick, CURLY hair and not only wanted a cut, but a bayalage as well. She was very thorough and took her time and was the sweetest girl ever. Courtney, thank you for giving me the BEST hairdressing experience I have ever had! Ill never go anywhere else!

Alex has been cutting and coloring my hair since just before my wedding last fall, when I came to her in desperate need of hair resuscitation before the big day. She made me feel like a million bucks and absolutely beautiful for our wedding! So much so that even my husband went to her the week before our wedding to get a haircut and beard trim; he was so impressed with his own results that he has been going back every 3 weeks to get a fresh cut/beard trim from alex! We both love the atmosphere at metropolitan and the prices are reasonable. Totally worth every penny for the excellent service, personal touches, and great work that we receive each time we are at metropolitan! :)

I have always enjoyed going to Metro for hair/nail services. So I decided to go there for my wedding hair/makeup and was thrilled with the service and organization of the salon staff. They have it down! My wedding party got there on time, were promptly greeted, treated with breakfast and coffee, and were out of there with beautiful hair in no time! It was such a stress-free experience and that is exactly what every bride wants on her wedding day!

Went to two different stylist there and both were great, professional and new what they were talking about. Have been trying to find the "right" salon for me...and this is the place. They have so many services and the atmosphere is just relaxing. Some places make you feel like they are in a hurry (which is business...no offense to other places)...but I didnt feel that way here. I just like it :)

I had a set if full acrylic nails done on a Tuesday and by the weekend I had 4 nails that had popped off. 5 days later 8 popped and when i called them to fix they only had time ti fix 4. I have been wearing nails for over 10 years. Biggest mistake evere going here.
