Im sorry to say Im a consistent recipient of poor service at this location. (Im giving 1 star only because Im forced to choose one or more stars in this UI.) Today was no exception. Waiting in line to have my sealed, addressed envelope metered, the customer at the counter in front of me packed several boxes (one of which contained Lululemon yoga pants). Meanwhile, a healthy line of customers had filed in behind me. Instead of asking this customer to step aside and let more prepared customers check out, the clerk stood there and waited for this girl to finish. Then the clerk offered her tape and helped her seal the boxes. Ironically, I glanced down to see a sign dated September 2014, with an "important" announcement that tape and other supplies will no longer be offered free of charge. I have been denied tape, even for reinforcing my packages, at this location in the past. When you are not prepared to have packages metered, the polite thing to do is step aside and let other customers proceed. When this customer didnt have the courtesy or self-awareness to do that, I expected the employee to manage them in the interest of serving others. The lack of urgency for basic customer service principles at this location confounds me. I really hate to pile on top of the USPSs well-publicized troubles, but as an institution with "Service" in its name...perhaps a 101-level focus on customer service would improve its viability and public perception.

I recently moved from Cottage Grove to Madison. I have lived in my new house on Breezy Grass Way in Madison, Wi for 5 months now. From the 1st day we moved in our mailman has given me other peoples mail at least twice a week. last week i was expecting a package. the package had a tracking number which said the package was dropped off at front...... BUT nothing was there. I called and made a complaint, but i was told that the package was at my front door.... Three days later somebody that lives two blocks away brought my package to me, because the mailman gave it to the wrong house again..... everyday the mail "lady" drives up and down the roads backtracking trying to correct her mistakes. AFTER FIVE MONTHS OF THIS I AM SICK OF IT. ITS TIME FOR YOU TO HIRE A NEW MAIL CARRIER FOR THE MEADOWLANDS NEIGHBORHOOD

This post office has always been a great place to do business. Fast, courteous, friendly service. But yesterday they outdid themselves. Our office sent a very important overnight document and then realized we had failed to include a crucial piece. I ran to the post office where Cindy and others searched for the package. They could not find it but took my number and assured me they would keep looking as other trucks came into the facility with mail. Fifteen minutes before closing, they located the piece, called me, opened the package,and allowed me to insert the important piece. Whether they realize it or not, they made my day - no, my week - and they made a huge difference in our clients life. Kudos! Bravo! HUGE THANK YOU!!!!!

Last week went in to ship a golf club that was sold on eBay. Prepaid for postage and have never had a problem doing this before. Worker wanted to weigh and measure package and turns out I was 2.5 oz and 3 inches short of the postage, or so they told me. They tried to charge me $15.00 extra because of this because the needed to "treat my package as if it weighed 10 lbs due to odd dimensions." I left within seconds. Went to the Sun Prairie USPS today and without any issue, the worker took the item, weighed it and said it was good - no extra postage needed. How does one location try to con you for $15.00 but the other says its 100% fine and no extra? Wont ever go back to the Milwaukee St. location.

My packages were delivered all over my neighborhood thanks allot 12/30/16 Now one of my packages is missing and says its been delivered the website is no help its a joke it just made me more upset but hey i got my neighbors mail and some one else from a completely different street good job and the worse part is its happening to every one on my street we should not have to rely on our neighbors to get our mail. 12/12/16 Now a package that went out for delivery has gone to undeliverable as addressed when i know the address is right i cant take it any more Christmas present not delivered 12/23/16

Havent received our mail in 2 days because of our neighbors dog! Not our fault and shouldnt suffer the consequences. I receive a decent amount of mail and am expecting packages like yesterday. The worst part is that our mail carrier didnt even let us know where or how we can pick up our mail :(...super unhappy with this. They could have at least told me how I can get my mail! On another note, this year alone I have received completely destroyed packages or letters, one being extremely important! Also, we havent had a regular carrier in years. Every time they change so does the delivery time.

I did not have a good experience scheduling a passport appointment here - and unfortunately mine has to be expedited. You cannot call and talk with a person. It goes to straight to voicemail for that particular department and you have to wait the near the phone to make sure you can answer their callback. I received one callback, but I was at work and couldnt answer at the time. When I called, of course, I got the answering machine and nobody has called me back. Its been 3 days and Ive called 5 times leaving two messages. Please go elsewhere if you need to have your passport expedited.

The main post office is a busy place. There are often lines, especially at popular times, but no matter how busy it is, the people behind the counter are always patient, smiling, listening, and trying to give each customer the service they need. This can be annoying while you wait in line, but everyone likes the personal attention when it is their turn. It cant be easy to treat each customer like they are your good neighbor, but that is just what each staff member does, and I appreciate their efforts!

This USPS store is a prime example of government failing the people. Terrible customer service at the front counter every time. I had one of questions answered by a sign being placed in front of my face during my last visit. Maybe if they actually had to worry about earning someones business they would start to care. Maybe if the employees knew they could be replaced due to the way they treat people they would start to care. All I know is I take by business else where now.

Had a package delivered last Friday. Wasnt here when I got home. Post office assured me it was delivered to my address so I assumed it was stolen. They told me to call another number the next morning. Spoke to a woman who told me to file a police report. Yesterday I found out that the mail carrier sent the package back to the sender because I had moved without leaving a forward address. Ive lived here for over 4 years. Getting everything shipped UPS from now on.

My package was delivered to the post office 8 days ago and USPS tracking still shows my priority mail to a P.O. box in Madison as "In Transit". I tried calling the post office yesterday and there was no one in to answer the phone. Today, I just keep getting voicemail. I would be willing to sit on hold until they could answer, but they dont even give you that option.
