I live in Oak Creek, but I swear by this shop. I also recommend them to all of my friends. Let me give you an example of why they are so great. I got a call from one of my friends early one morning. He was stranded in Shorewood with his late model VW Beetle. I picked him up and we went to a parts store to test the battery. It turned out the battery was fine so that meant that his alternator was fried. So he called the VW dealership and the shop he usually went to, Fazio Automotive, to get quotes to remove and replace the alternator. They both quoted him at around a whopping $1,500 dollars to do the job and claimed they had to remove the entire front clip of the car to get to the alternator. I could not believe it so I suggested he take it to Tony and Advance Automotive. They towed his car and fixed it that day for $500 bucks! Ive never seen my friend happier and his car ran better than ever. Not only do they have fair prices, but Tony is extremely honest and takes care of his customers. His lot is always full! I count on them to manage my car and Tony goes through the invoice with you line by line so there is no confusion on what parts and repairs were done. They have never tried to sell me on repairs I didnt need and instead of trying to make a buck off me they always try to save me money. Super shop! Excellent customer service!

The owner Tony is the most honest shop owner I have ever done business with. I have been bringing my car to him for years. He never tries to oversell you on an repair. He charges a fair price and is always honest with you. He wont tell you to fix anything that doesnt need to be repaired and will tell you when something can wait. I recently had some emission problems and had to bring it to him a few times. He was trying to save me money by only fixing what he though was needed to pass emissions. Long story short, I had to bring it back it in a couple of times but he was trying to save me some money and in the end he still did save me a few hundred dollars. My car passed emissions and is running very well. The location may not be the best, but the honest fair service I received at Advance Automotive more then makes up for it. I doubt Ill ever find a more honest, fair shop that does good work.

Tony is seriously one of the most straight-forward people Ive had the pleasure of working with. Hes given me honest timelines on when things should be done, as well as how long I can reasonably hold off on things I dont quite have the money for at the moment. The only time I ever had an issue (my muffler was attached a bit loosely and rattled) I was able to get in IMMEDIATELY and was back out the door in ten minutes at no cost and with a sincere apology for my inconvenience. Highly recommended

This place was awesome. Brought in my Sable for a busted shock. They gave me options, told me honestly what needed to be done and what could wait, fixed it for about what I expected but with getting more done. Under $500 for a shock, strut, tire, vacuum tube/correction of PCV valve issue, labor, tow, AND they tightened my brakes. Yes, theyre busy and youll get put on hold a lot when you call, but theyre quick, cheap and honest. What more could you want in a mechanic?!

Tony is the man--accommodating, solicitous, efficient, knowledgeable, and honest--I hesitate to recommend him, because I suspect hes way overworked! but thats not a problem for him, evidently--he keeps a tidy shop, even with a lot full of cars. there is rarely space to park when you pull in. if you bring your car to Advanced, rest easy; it will get the best service, at the best rates.

Tony was great! He was very knowledgeable and straightforward with the repairs needed. I needed to get my brakes and rotors replaced and it was done in a few hours. Tony explained everything that they did to the car and broke down the costs without me having to ask about all the details. I will definitely be going back for any repairs needed.

Have going going here for a few years now. We take the company vehicles here and our own vehicles, Highly recommended! Tony and the mechanics are good guys, theyll tell you whats wrong and the priority of the issue. They will go out of their way to explain things so you can understand. Great prices, great customer service and great work!

I love this shop! They are honest professionals at a fair price. I could save money by going somewhere else, but I would not get the quality work and honest advice, especially being a woman I appreciate them taking the time to help me understand what is going on with my vehicle.
