My sister took our Hyundai Elantra here for service two weeks before I returned home from the Marines. The alignment of the car became visibly problematic after their service and the shop agreed to fix it after she took it in the first time. A few days after, it became problematic again and I took it in personally to have them fix it for the second time. When I presented the car to two gentlemen at the desk, one of them (I presumed the owner) asked a mechanic to test drive the car so "we can be on the same page". While speaking to the mechanic in Russian(?), I was able to tell that the owner did not take me seriously. I brushed that off. During the test drive, the mechanic agreed that the alignment was off and that it should be addressed for free since it was under warranty. We went back to the shop and the mechanic reported this to the owner. The owner told me to come in the next morning. I went in the next morning and turned in the car. I politely asked the owner "How long will this take?", he replied, "Couple of hours." "Do you know many hours to be exact? Id like to know so I can ask for a ride." To my surprise, the owner rudely replied again, "Couple of hours." Discontent, I repeated myself, "So you dont know exactly how many hours? I would like to know so I can arrange a ride." The owner pointed at another employee and said, "He will help you." and rudely walked away. The second employee was able to give me an approximation of 3-4 hours within seconds. Hours later, I received a call from the owner, telling us that it will cost $150 to fix everything again. Agitated, I asked him why this wont be covered under warranty, he started blaming us for not asking for an alignment after their service, which was absolutely nonsense because they agreed they messed it up the first time, as well as the second time we took it in. My sister herself called in afterwards and they gave her the same excuse. After some deliberation, we decided to take the car back without any of their services since we do not want to deal with their unprofessional customer service and dishonest business practices. I sincerely recommend everyone to stay away.

Id like to say that the reviewers that had issues with the management were absolutely correct in their assessment. My car happened to break down, conveniently right next to the store. Upon walking in and walking up to the counter, I hear a man on the phone (the owner) screaming, yelling, swearing in the other room to an employee who had called in sick. So thats what I walked into. I can let that slide. Finally he came out and I told him that I thought I needed a jump for my battery. So we walk out to my car, and I mention how Im late for work and how this sucks. And he proceeds to mock me, and says "Oh, youre late for work?". I just looked at him, stunned. Strike 2. He tries to jump my car. It doesnt start. He says what he thinks is wrong with it, says I can leave it there and walks away from me. So he left me standing there, after being a completely rude to me, expecting me to leave my car with him. Ummmm, nooope. I called Dakota K, down the street, because I know they are nice, honest and do good work. They came with a tow truck to get me, and the owner of Buffalo Grove Auto, that same guy I had been dealing with from the beginning, comes out and starts screaming at me because I brought his competition to HIS store. He was doing this in front of all of his customers. I then lost it on him. He then threatened me saying "Ill be seeing you again!" I threatened to call the cops if he kept it up. How embarrassing that you would run a business like that. Its shameful. You dont treat potential customers like garbage and expect their patronage. You dont treat your employees like garbage and expect them to be loyal. You dont lose your cool in front of people who are paying you good money, to fix their vehicles that they rely on. Not a good business tactic. I fully recommend Dakota K down the street. They gave me a free loaner, a free tow, and could not have been nicer to me.

Went there because my car made a horribly squeaky noise. People from the shop told me that I had a problem with a belt and a tensioner, which I still had a warranty from another shop. Without even asking, they charged me $35 for greasing, which they thought it would help. Went to another shop, was told that the greasing made even more noise and serpent belts and tensioner are not supposed to be greased and the problem causing the noise was the accelerator. After I fixed my car I went back here to ask for a refund because it didnt solve my problem, I learned that this shop greased the belts they shouldnt have and diagnosed the problem wrong. Was refused to have the refund back because "the work was already done", even though it made my problem even worse, I got charged money for it and they didnt even ask me in the first place if I wanted to get it done. Horrible customer service, poor knowledge, I dont recommend anyone going there!!!! Unless you want to spend money to worsen your problem and then not even get your money back...

Only writing about the car wash. Worst car wash Ive seen. Went there as a convince as it was on my way home. First i ask the personal that was cleaning my car, if they wash the floor mats not to put them on the car or the windshield, since they are all season and have some spokes on the bottom (scratched my old car). What does he do. The exact opposite. Then he take the wet rubber floor mats and puts then on the dry carpet. He did not wipe or dry them. So now i have damp/wet carpet. Took me about 20 min to dry with a rag when i got home. When he was bringing the passenger side from the driver, all the water dripped on the leather seat. Had to wipe that. My kids backpacks was in the back, they got wet. I tell him, what does he say, no English talk to the owner inside. I go inside and talk to the owner and all the he does is says, i will tell him not to do it next time. No apology. And then walks away. They did not even finish drying the car. Left the whole left side dirty and wet

I spent $600 for repairing my bumper last year, Since then, I have to be in this store every 2-3 months, cause the new bumper always out of hook . Frankly speaking, I felt tired to be in this store for the same reason. Eventually, the boss said they would refix my cars bumper. I was happy, even though he postpone the time for three times. So this morning I drove my car to this shop, After consulting the mechanics and knew that it would take 2-3 hours to fix the bumper again, I asked for a ride to home(3 miles away) and they did give me a ride using my own car. but when I called them to get someone pick me up cause I dont have car on hand, The arrogant boss said they have no one to send and let me to make my way there. I felt so frustrated and we argued on the phone , I never met this kind of businessman before. he has no sense of customer service, he even said he doesnt want to do business with me ! totally speechless.
