GOOD things about the school: the price cant be beat ($8 wash, cut, style), lots of students when I went so we didnt have to spend too much time in the waiting area, my student was very nice and she did a good job with my wash, especially & tried to please me as best she could. NOT as good: its a school, not sure if you think they should get a "free pass" on the duration, but it takes FOREVER - my trim and style and took 3 hrs, the teacher never even saw my final cut, the hairdressers regularly walk away and leave you sit in the chair (for various reasons), there is some dirty language by the students... if youre sensitive to that this isnt the place for you. Overall, I will go back for a trim because the price is right! And the person who worked on me was very nice (although quiet, not a lot of conversation). However, 4 stars seemed way too high! It was lacking a bit in professionalism.

The salon its self is disgusting it looks like they havent washed anything in the last year and a half. There are piles of junk on top of the hair salon stations. Everybody from the front desk to the Students were extremely rude. I had an appointment and continue to sit in the waiting room for 25 minutes after my appointment when I told them that I was going to have to cancel because Ive been waiting so long they got even more disrespectful yelling at us to stay and lying about our appointment time even though I confirmed it five times on the phone. I am unsure how and establishment as uncleanly if this one is still in business. It disgusts me that this is a beauty school and this is where people are learning will definitely never come back .

Very disappointed with this school, I usually go here all the time for my services and I scheduled an appointment to COLOR my hair months in advance for my graduation. I call them to let them know Im on my way and they tell me they cant do it because they dont dye hair at 2pm. Mind you I scheduled this appointment the day before my graduation so what am I going to do now? Very dissatisfied and unhappy. Dont schedule appointments if you cant keep them or do them at that time.

I have had the pleasure of going to Empire for over a year for several students to cut my hair. I have always gotten in even on short notice, once in the students have done great work and always get approval from their instructors. I have never left with a bad haircut. It is a joy to go back.

The staff here is nice. My current stylist (Veronica) is fun and good. A shout out to my past stylists that graduated and now work out in the community. Jobs well done.
