I requested maintenance replace a deadbolt which had rusted shut from rain and was no longer functional. The property manager Rebecca sent her husband to replace the lock. Her husband stated he had to take the lock back home to fix and hadnt brought a replacement to leave in the meanwhile, effectively leaving me stranded; this made me incredibly uncomfortable since my house had been broken into at the start of the year, however it needed to be fixed and he said he would be back that afternoon. That evening after several hours of wait I get a call from him saying he would not be able to return to replace the lock since he and his wife had left for Biloxi, MS to "visit their son." I state that this is completely unacceptable , he says theres nothing he can do. I hang up the phone and cool down, since at that point I was upset and unsafe. After calming down I called back and asked to speak to Rebecca to see what all can be done, while trying to explain what can be done Rebecca says to me "You need to just stop talking" and tries to tell me that its my fault that the lock was broken since they are "new locks." I say I will not be spoken to in this manner and how dare she treat a client and tenant in this manner, and hang up. Her husband then calls back after a few moments and says the following: "I will come back and when I do itll be to break DOWN your door and beat your ass for talking to my wife in that way!" to which I immediately hung up and called the police. If this is the way these people do business and treat tenants, then people have a right to know about it. Pending this afternoon I am currently in process of filing a complaint to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, therefore at this time I highly recommend avoiding this company at any and all cost. Never before in nearly 7 years as a renter of various establishments have I been threatened or treated in this manner.
