No they were not on time, they were not prepared for the job, they did not work hard, they were not respectful of property and goods, and no I would not use them again. The helpers were more than 45 minutes late, with no notice. The owner of the company dropped off three "movers" and I use this term EXTREMELY loosely, as they were all kids who obviously had no clue how to load a moving truck...particularly one going across the country...which I DID mention in the request. p.s. they all had backpacks with them too, so hard telling if any small items disappeared. I requested three movers, which I suppose you could say I got since three bodies were on premises, but it seemed like only two of three movers were ever working at once. We ended up having to unload the truck and all I can say is thank goodness we didnt drive that load two-thousand miles. When we unloaded, we found that the movers hadnt used the (three dozen) moving blankets to wrap our furniture resulting in multiple scratches, dings, and assorted damage to my furniture (even though it only sat in the truck 3 days). They didnt even wrap a glass table top we had bubble-wrapped. Oh, did I mention said moving blankets were shoved into the middle of the load? I told the helpers that the boxes were stacked heaviest-to-lightest in the house already, but they decided to mix the stacks up however they damn well pleased, and ended up damaging multiple boxes. Ill have another crew re-load the truck.

Unbelievable. I have a couch that was difficult to get in the house and while selling the couch in prep for moving out, it was even more difficult. Four people including myself tried over an hour every which way to get the couch out of the house (I have a narrow door and a low patio with a high fence) and we just couldnt. I called this company and they got here within 3 hours of the call. They were here for less than 10minutes!!!!!!!! They got it out on the first try. Highly highly highly recommend. Theyre smart, experienced, and so friendly!

I would highly recommend Small Time Moving. James Chapman and son Tim, saved us when another company was a no-show. I called after hours hoping to leave a message and James answered. He maneuvered his schedule in order to help us and we are so grateful! We had some big pieces to move around and the guys did it very well. So grateful to the Chapmans! Thank you.

This is the second time my family has used James and crew. They are respectful, careful and trustworthy. they treated our household items like they were their own. Ricky and Timothy are awesome at what they do. Would recommend these guys and company to anyone.
