Tex, your sales slogan “This Ain’t No Bull” shouldn’t be used at Earnhardt Chevrolet in Chandler Arizona because there is plenty of “Bull” there. I have been a customer of Earnhardt Dealership’s for years and have purchased eight Fords, one Jeep and now a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Truck. My wife and I went to Earnhardt Chevrolet in Chandler Arizona late in the evening, November 13, 2016. I thought it was the easiest purchase process I have ever done until we got in the Finance department to finalize the purchase contracts. They took copies of both of our drivers licenses which had our names and addresses to start the process, Bryan was rushing through the paper work so fast, because it was almost closing time, he made a lot of mistakes on the contracts. He misspelled our last name, misspelled the City on our address. We told him our address had to include a PO Box # or the post office would return all mail, not a physical address; he used only the physical address anyway. We also purchased an extended warranty contract and Bryan told us it was just like a bumper to bumper contract, covered everything, but the contract was also blank, nothing filled out on months or miles along with all the other wrong information. He told us to sign and not to worry and that he would correct everything in the system on Monday when we brought in the down payment amount. He also could not get the temporary license plate to process, we said we had a personized plate but he said it would not process so he applied for a new one. He had to give us a dealer plate to drive out with. When my wife returned on Monday delivering the down payment, Bryan said that he corrected everything. For the extended service contract, he only gave us a brochure with the months and miles hand written on it, nothing else. To make a long story short, nothing was changed. We never did get our licenses plate in the mail, had to go get it ourselves at the motor vehicle department and correct our name and the address. Our name is still incorrect on our loan contract. I went back in to the dealership and filled out a cancellation request to cancel the Mickey Mouse extended contract because it was still blank, only had the brochure with hand written months and miles on it. I have called Travis, another finance manager, numerous times on the status of the cancelled service contract and to this date, 3/6/17, they are still giving me the “I’ll call you back” Bull. All I get is excuses, “Bryan Davis no longer works here”, “I didn’t sell you the vehicle”, more Bull. I have already purchased a “Complete Real” service contract with another Chevrolet Dealership I can trust, just want the bogus blank one cancelled and refunded in full. I called the service contract provider and they said it was canceled in December 2016 and the full funds had been returned to Earnhardt Chevrolet. I called our lender on 3/6/17 and they said they have not received anything from Earnhardt Chevrolet, which means Earnhardt robbed me of $1,530.00 on top of everything else. I expect the usual manager response to this review, “call us to correct the problem”. The lack of Customer Service and incompetent management is the problem. Next step, legal action on felony theft of $1,530.00.

Contacted sales rep Jeff Moe a few days prior to stopping by. Inquired about the internet sales add for 2017 Cruze for $13,840. Came in, Jeff was busy so he had Dakota take care of me. Did all the standard test drive stuff. When we sat down to start going over numbers Dakota asks if I was explained what the $13,840 means. I said no, apparently Joe explained that to me in his head after our initial phone conversation was over. Apparently that is the price before the dealership adds on a bunch of nonsense no one needs or cares about. So the "NO BULL" price I was "quoted" was already full of BULL. There is a massive amount of fine print that is impossible to read without an electron microscope. People researching cars look at 100s and 100s of cars online. No one has time to read the fine print. Ok, whatever, lets talk and see what we come up with. Ill add here that my credit is basically no credit. Meaning I havent used my credit in around 8 years and my history isnt that spectacular. I am under no illusion that I will get the deal of a lifetime, but I did have $10,000 to put down right away to hopefully offset my lack of credit, and to show I was serious about buying. Dakota comes back with paperwork that shows after my trade-in and 10k down (trade-in was not worth much) I would be financing around $8,500. I told him if he can make that $7,500 Ill take it. Making the 2017 Cruze $17,500 out the door. He said he would be right back after we signed our bs "gentlemens agreement" nonsense. Some time passes and a new person who I cant remember their name says he is going to take over. Ok. Fill out credit app. I tell him my credit issues. He says no problem and that he very rarely sees someone with 10 grand as a down payment. He comes back a time later with payments at $269/month and financing almost $12,000. Wooooo buddy where did this come from?? The paperwork he shows me is completely different from sale guy Dakota. Who has mysteriously vanished. I tell new guy what Dakota told me and he walks away and comes back informing me that he has no idea where Dakota came up with those numbers and that they were trying to get in touch with him to see what was happening. I dont blame new guy he had no idea what was going on, but Dakota shouldnt have disappeared. After that I walked out. I have to much nonsense going on in my life (wont bother with the details.., no one cares about my sob story) needless to say I dont need to waste 3 1/2 hours to get completely bsd. If you are considering purchasing from here. Reconsider. Hit up your google maps app and go to one of the other 20 dealerships within a 10 square mile radius. It is not worth the hassle and frustration.

I have a multi part review. Car Sales: I have purchased 4 brand new vehicles at Thorobred over the last dozen years or so. Several years ago, buying a car there seemed much easier and less pressure than it is today. Recently, I was shopping for a new truck, however the deal was dependent upon the value of my trade. I asked if we could just skip the game playing and cut right to the chase. What can you give me for my trade? Well, they wanted to play games. This is a very simple thing to do. They know they can sell a used car for a certain price, so it should be simple to know what they would buy one or pay for one in trade. Nope, they wanted me to pick the new vehicle and play the game. They take your keys and dont bring them back, they assign a babysitter to sit with you. I finally left after an hour, had to ask for my keys. Even after playing their game, i still never found out what they would give me on my trade in. Then the babysitter guy got all upset and indignant because i was leaving. I went there to buy a truck, just wanted the deal to be transparent so i could make a good decision. Service: I have my oil change and tire rotations done there. They do about a 90% good job. They rotate my tires. There are tire pressure sensors in my tires/wheels. Every single time they rotate, the forget to readdress the sensors. meaning when you have a low pressure tire, the sensor tells you that your left front tire is low. Well, when they rotate, they move that tire to the back. So you get a warning of low pressure on your left front tire, when in fact your left rear tire is the one that is low. BTW, no other business has the ability readdress the wheel locations other than chevy dealers. That is the reason i have them do the oil change and rotation. IF there is another way, feel free to let me know. Other than that one item, they are pleasant and takes the average amount of time and the service is priced reasonably. I just hate having to be their QC person, and especially hare having the make the 2nd trip to get them to readdress the tires. Body Shop: was in there yesterday and Scott was fantastic. Treated me great and they did a great job on my repair. And he saved me a few bucks. I appreciate his service and he has won any future business from me for body repair. To the owner: I see that you respond to these. Feel free to contact me, i would love to have a conversation with you if you are in fact the "owner" or another actual manager with some authority. I suspect you are several people how have the assignment of responding the the reviews.
