My wife and I needed a power steering pump replaced on our Element. Im blanking on the owners names right now, but its a husband and wife team that were very helpful. The wife ferried us to and from the shop after we dropped off our vehicle and when it was time for pickup. They were able to provide us with a refurbished power steering pump to keep costs down and diagnosed and fixed the car in one day. Not only that, but they also completely cleaned out the engine compartment of the oils that had been leaking for no extra charge. They also provide a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on their work as well which helps you sleep well at night. Besides the nice customer service, they have a well put together front desk area with nice finishes and it smells nice and not like a bunch of dirty shops rags. Thank you for the great service KAR Shop.

Im a new car buyer and have little knowledge about Cars. I call him up and asked nicely whether he was able to look at a car and see whether the car was priced right. His response: "If you havent spent any money with me and you arent a customer of mine, dont come to my shop. Im not the guy for you ." Alrighty then. If I was priced a quote so that he can check the car, I would gladly comply, but god forbid the fact that "I havent spent any money at his shop" would leave me no service at all. So many words that Id rather leave unsaid came upon me. Such arrogance. Money strickened mechanic.

My vehicle had a charging issue that I needed taken care of quickly and efficiently. I checked the reviews of shops near me and found great reviews of KAR Shop which was only about a mile from home. I called Kris just before closing and he talked me through the issue and said he could get me in first thing the next morning. My car was towed at 8:00am and by 10:30am I received a call with a diagnosis and price. By 12:30pm the vehicle was complete and at a reasonable price. Cant recommend KAR Shop enough. Thanks for the quick and easy resolution.

One of (sadly) very few places I have ever been able to give five stars. Kris is as knowledgeable about all makes and models of cars as he is fair with his customers. I have been going to him since he opened his doors, and have recommended anyone who needs car work done, including both of my daughters. He and his staff have solved several quirky issues with both of my "vintage" cars, as well as my daughters late-models. If you need a mechanic, go in and talk to Kris; you wont be disappointed!

Excellent shop. The best in Arizona. Kris knows what he is talking about and will give you a straight and HONEST answer about your vehicle and will fix it right. My wifes Denali broke down while I was out of town. With 2 kids at school and a 4 month old at home she was beyond stressed. I had her tow it to The KAR shop and Kris had the problem diagnosed and fixed in plenty of time for my wife to pick the kids up from school. Thanks Kris.

Do not go here. This place is a rip off. I brought my truck in because the battery kept dying. They thought it was the starter so they replaced it, then realized it was not the starter so they put the old one back in. THEY CHARGED ME FOR THIS. I was charged $200 for their misdiagnosis! It turned out my air compressor was siezed up so they just bypassed it and charged me for that. The cashier was rude. I will never go here again

These guys are awesome. In all my dealings with them, Ive been nothing but impressed by their honesty and straightforwardness when it comes to what needs to be done. Pricing has been 100% fair. Keep in mind Im not saying theyre going to be the cheapest on whatever you need done, but they will do the job right. Plus they really go the extra mile to provide their customers great service. Cant recommend them enough!

Beware not a fair establishment. Overcharging for parts is the nature of mechanic shops. Its a price most consumers have no choice to agree to as there is usually about a 50% mark up. However when a place is charging 300x the price of the original part thats just plain unethical. If you do get service here never agree to anything they suggest without a second opinion less you wished to be taken for granted.

I was looking for a mechanic for the first time here in Gilbert AZ. I found Chris from KAR and could not be more pleased with his friendly service, fair pricing, and extremely quick turn around time. They even came to pick me up when my car was ready. You dont find great service like that around here in Gilbert. I will definitely be a repeat customer! Thank you Chris and Michelle!

I walked in today with out an appointment, I was told it would be about an hour and a half to diagnose. Then I was asked if I needed a ride home. The owners wife drove me home. That was some next level customer service. My auto problem was solved in a matter of a few hours, at a reasonable price. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer!!! Highly satisfied!

Awesome service! Kris went out of his way to try and get an appointment made for me. He offered services to get me to work if I needed to leave my car for a lengthy amount of time. Ive never seen any car mechanic try to make getting work done on your car as easy as Kris did. Very impressed! I will be referring lots of business over to the Kar Shop!

The KAR Shop offered advice over the phone for 2 weeks as I wasnt able to get my car into the shop until the end of that period. Then when I could bring my car in they did the repair they quoted me on and I havent had any problems since. The repair went as expected, but the customer service was beyond what typical repair shops have to offer.
