Ive been going to Ken for the past four years that Ive been in Arizona. Ive gone through all the shady mechanics in the past and have NEVER had a mechanic explain things to me the way that he does or work so hard to provide great service. He not only fixes the problem in the quickest and most cost effective solution every single time I come in, but also gives his experience and advice on things (for free) that I know has saved me money over having take that same problem to some other place that would do work that is unnecessary. When I bring my car to Ken (97 Sentra), I never worry that my car wont be taken care of. Overall my impression of Ken, over the years Ive known him, is that he is is very professional, patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. He knows all of his clients that Ive seen him encounter on a first name basis. Every time I drop by he remembers not only my cars history, but also what we talked about and what was going on with my life at the time. Im going to be joining the Air Force here soon, and Im going to be really saddened if I dont get stationed here in AZ because I just might have to delve back into the shady world of the many dime-a-dozen auto-repair shops out there =/.

Desert Auto Works is a trusted family favorite. My brother-in-law recommended them to my Dad, who recommended them to me. Ownership/management has changed from Ken to Diego and Sergio, and we continue to use them for years now. They are not my sole auto repair source, because I like to have several flavors of mechanic. Desert AutoWorks has a smart, small, business-like flavor. They are not the cheapest, but your car and your phone call do not get lost in a shuffle; they keep you generally well-informed. They are not bozos when it comes to diagnostics. Though they do sometimes make mistakes, they make a sincere effort to take personal responsibility for diagnostics. They dont do unnecessary, dishonest work. They do not pad their recommendations or seek to meet service billings goals like a Midas shop.

Ive had Ken work on my vehicles for many years now. Everytime Ive had anything come up...even back before he was at this new locatio, the works been great. He is extremely knowledgable about diagnosing problems, especially for an amatuer mechanic like myself (I do most easy things myself: oil changes, filters, belts, battery, tires, alternator, fans, etc)...and Ken has always known WELL past the normal things that I usually am willing to get personally familiar with. He runs a clean shop and crew & has always been effecient and professionaly personal when explaining/showing me what hes fixing/etc. I recommend his shop to anyone, and have done so on many other occasions.

These guys know what they are doing. Unlike some places that replace entire assemblies, these guys figure out which bit is the problem and replace just that. Their charges are reasonable, and they do not run up the bill with stuff that is not broken. Highly recommended! They take the time to explain what is wrong and what they will do to fix it. In my case he actually wired lights into a circuit to help diagnose an intermittent problem. Whichever light is out when the problem happens again will tell them what is not working.

The best mechanics that I have ever had. They do great work and are very honest. They always give me a good assessment of what is wrong, and they take the time to explain what is required to fix it. They have always treated me very well, and it is always a pleasure to do business with them. The work they do has always been great and they tell it to me straight. Their labor rates are high, but they have saved me a ton of money that other shops have tried to charge me.

Ken has always been fair, honest and dependable. As a female, this is important because too many mechanics like to scam women! Not Ken, though. Hes always gone out of his way to educate me on exactly what my car needs and what repairs can be postponed. Go meet him! Talk to him for yourself. Theres a reason why his crew smiles- its because they are truly interested in giving the best service at the best prices.

I have been taking all of my personal vehicles as well as both of my companies vehicles to Desert Auto Works for over 5 years. Desert Auto Works have worked on my Acura TL as and all of our auto glass vans. Desert Auto is honest, fair, efficient and most of al KNOWLEDGEABLE. They have all the diagnostic machines needed to fix all our cars. Its rare to find a company as good as this one!

I cant say enough good things about this place! They always do good honest work, they are very knowledgeable (which saved me a few hundred dollars once), and they dont add extra work without asking you and explaining (Diego even drew me a picture once to help me see what was going on). The only time they did a little extra work I didnt ask for, they did it if for free.

Ken has been our familys mechanic for over 4 years... He will tell you what needs to be fixed and what you could wait on if you are short on cash but still need your car to run and be safe. He will look for parts and try to get you the best deal... He is HONEST people... he is worth his weight in gold.... We love him!
