NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP... let me share my experience with Midas Glendale. I observed a weird sound in my car and visited to the shop. They inspected the car and a lady came to me. She said that the root cause of this sound is CV Axle, so you will have to replace front CV axle that will cost you $588 including labour. She also mentioned about front brake pads to be replaced if you would like to. She estimated total cost of repair $1075 and she gave me discount of $80, so i have to $995 to replace both CV axle and front brake pads. I said that this is too costly, then she said you can replace brake pads next time but CV axle needs to be replaced immediately. She created a situation to scare me about car and life safety. I got scared and decided to borrow some money from my friend and asked her to replace both axle and brake pads. I asked her if someone can drop me to my office. When i reached office and my friend about money but he was not able to arrange at that time. Then immediately i called her and asked to stop service within 10 minutes after leaving Midas. I got a call after 30 minutes and they said you will have to pay $134 service charge. I asked its too much for inspection and 10 mins $134 money. I took my car back and paid $134 and again about the root cause of that sound. She confirmed CV axle is causing. once of my friend recommended for another place and i went there. I just told him about the sound and nothing. He inspected the car and said the root cause is front brake pads because there is a metal chip that is causing for this sound. He charged me $320 for replacing front and rear brake pads. When i asked about axle, then he said that is leaking minor and you can replace after few months that will cost you $320. He seemed to me genuine and honest person. Finally, i only replaced all four wheels brake pads in $320 and that sound is gone. He was able to identify the root cause and resolved also in reasonable price. Midas guys were not able to identify the problem and quoted me $1075 to repair the car and charged me $134 service charge for inspection and 10 minutes. Please remember never go Midas Glendale otherwise you will be trapped to pay more and more as they are not genuine and honest, and ready to catch you to ear money.

Unbelievable!!!! My husband and I took our 2005 Durango in to this shop to have an exhaust leak fixed. The manager Paul, pulled my car into the garage bay and a few minutes later asked me to come out to our car and tell him what the problem was. When him and I were standing by the car he told me that it was going to cost $1500 to $1800 to fix this "common 2005 Dodge Durango problem" not even really asking me about the problem in which he lured me out there for. He told me that it would take his shop 3 days to fix it because he had to take out the engine to get to the manifold and the broken bolts. After I explained that I didnt have that kind of money he didnt say a word to me and pulled my car out of the shop and parked it in front of the door. How RUDE! How about, OK, Im going to put your car in the front you can go back to the lobby! (A**hole!!!) So I took my car to Mieneke where the owner Jim told me that I had a manifold exhaust leak (just like Paul did) and said it would cost $150 to put in a new gasket and $65 for each bolt that was broken. The total cost of the repair was $218.18 because Jim was nice to only charge me for one broken bolt because they were easy to remove. Paul wanted to charge me $1220 to $1520 more than it actually cost. REALLY PAUL!!!!! You are a liar and a cheater. Further, you do not have to take the engine out to fix an exhaust manifold leak in a 2005 Dodge Durango and Jim fixed my car in half a day not 3 days. Finally, Midas has a big red and white sign in their lobby that says "why do more women come to midas?" So you, Paul, can tell us women we dont know what we are talking about and can easily prey on us. Well you messed with the wrong woman and now you are exposed for the liar and cheater you are. WOMEN PLEASE BEWARE OF PAUL AND HIS SCHEMING!!!!!!! Do not go to MIDAS on 60th and Bell Rd.

Do not go there - They did work on my daughters car knowing we had to drive out of town. I am an 87 year old woman and we were alone on this trip and they knew that. Our car overheated on the trip and we were stuck in a small California town. The mechanic in Calif. said "he had never seen such negligent work, he didnt even think the work we paid for them had been done!" If you read other reviews, you will see that others have had mechanics say the same thing. He also said "4-5 clamps were actually loose and one hose was not even attached" The mechanic said "one loose clamp might be a mistake but so many was just really bad work." They also lost our huge 2 x 2 engine cover?? The owner has said he will pay a pitance of the 1500 in costs we have incurred but he now wont answer my daughters emails and has been promising that he will pay for the last month. So if he does actually pay something I may change this review to reflect that. Otherwise BUYER BEWARE. The owner talks a good game but doesnt seem to follow through. There are too many good places to take your car to chance this type of thing.

Tony the owner is supposed to be returning my money for a bad job his shop did. Since my car is not in town, he has offered to pay me back a tiny bit of the money I have lost by going to his bell road Midas. I will feel better when I actually have the money as he has promised for the last month but its delay after delay with him. Ill update this review when this is settled. I may also be contacting the Midas head office and the Better business Bureau but also want to let others know through this review. The owner also owns the Sun City location and is big on talk, as you can see from his below comment. If this review remains unchanged it will mean the owner never paid me a cent.

This place is TERRIBLE! There is new management and this man is arrogant and unprofessional. When I called he put the phone down mid conversation and then I could hear him on another phone in a very private conversation. This is the workplace!!! When I came in he was just as bad treating everyone like he is doing us a favor being there! He does NOT know about cars and his pricing is insane! Stay away from this place if you have any self esteem! I have been here for years and I am uninformed as to why the change but at least the previous manager knew how to converse with people on professional and informed manner!
