QUICK! Imagine the worse possible haircut and dye you have ever had. This was me. I had this horrible, ugly, brassy, and blonde color. I honestly looked like I hadnt brushed my hair for weeks; I was forming dreads. With my already red face, I looked like a beet wearing a wig. My grandmother is a hair dresser, and, bless her heart, she really tries to make me happy. Since I was little, shes always been "scissor happy" or "bleach happy." I come to her, hesitant, saying I want an ombre or bolyage (I hope thats how you spell it). I got my hair cut by Erika 7 months ago, and it was the best haircut Ive ever had. So, here I am, standing in front of my grandmother begging her to let me go back. To her, I was saying that she is incompetent (rest assured, I was not even remotely suggesting this). I just wanted a hip and stylish trend for college. Since I have trusted few and far with my hair, I had went 7 months without anyone touching my hair. It was like straw. Im pretty sure a horse would have mistaken me for lunch. After showing her a picture, she assures me she can do it. So, I give in and let her do it. My grandmother decides to put a BLOCK of bleach in my hair! No toning it, just straight bleach. Then, she cut my hair and made it blocky. I was like a Tetris game: blocks of bleach and blocks or hair pieces. I absolutely hated it. Finally, in the morning she sent me back to Erika. Many thanks to Erika for fixing my hair. It was last minute but I went from dry and ugly hair to the most luscious and beautiful hair I have ever had. She took a total of 5 hours to fix me and she even worked past closing time to finish. Man, slap me on the face if Im lying, but she did everything I asked of her and more! She went the extra mile afterwards and gave little ol me a list of what I needed to use. Trust me, I needed this. I was raised by my father and seriously have no idea how to take care of myself (a little exaggeration, but you get the point). She brushed in the bleach and dyed my roots darker to create the most perfect ombre and bolyage I have ever seen. She even used cooler tones to combat my red face. It makes my blue eyes stand out so much and I am SOOOOO HAPPY. So, if you are trying to find a salon that works for you, this is the salon. Also, Id check out Erika. Shes funny, real and always goes the extra mile :)

The hairdresser Erica asked what shampoo I used, then implied I bought it from a dollar store. When I told her I could read the labels on the shampoo bottles, she asked me how many years I spent in school to do that. Wow!! This shop feels more like New York than Arizona, right down to the extremely rude and hostile treatment they give new customers. I don’t know what kind of a haircut I might have received, I couldn’t stay that long. My hairdresser was so rude and abrasive that after a few minutes of intense interrogation and criticism from her, I stopped giving her detailed answers to her questions. She got huffy and said, “what, you’re not gonna answer my questions anymore? Do you even want me to cut your hair?” And I said, “Nope. I’d rather you didn’t.” And I went and had a chat with the manager. The manager apologized and tried to schedule me in later in hours later in the day with someone else, but she just didn’t seem to get that her employee was horrible. Worse than having a chat with a cranky TSA agent. She kept saying it was a “personality difference” and that Erica has tons of clients come to her. Well, maybe those clients like being interrogated and having their hair roughly yanked while they’re getting shampooed, and hearing Erica laugh with another employee about how “bad” she felt that she spilled something all over a customer the other day. I am just totally flabbergasted. I have never been treated so badly at an establishment before. If the manager had been as shocked as I was, I might have chalked it down to maybe an employee having a bad day. I’ve worked customer service before, I know what it’s like sometimes. But her insistence that that nastiness was just Erica’s wonderful personality? Nope. I think this place is probably just a cesspit of nasty, unkind people, and who needs to deal with that for a haircut?

Im not sure why "Emily s" felt that Erika was unpleasant but I see Erika regularly- every two weeks for two years now. Myself, along with many of her clients will continue to follow her to receive the best hair treatment in the valley. I began seeing her because I was fed up with the assembly line way of hair styling that you receive from great clips and other "in and out" hair salons like it. I love her kind, straight forward aproach in that she will be honest if a hair style or cut will not look good on you. she will educate you to help you understand what best suits you in the most unoffensive way. This way you dont leave her chair looking worse than when you came in. Her straight forward aproach may be different than what some people are used to, ( maybe even uncalled for if you are super sensitive) but she takes GREAT pride in what she does for a living. She wants her clients to be well educated and 100% satisfied. Because of her, I have also thrown out any idea of buying the low grade hair care products and now only buy what she recomends. And because of this my hair looks and feels better and healthier than it ever has. I have recommended her to numerous people over the two years I have been seeing her and I have not heard one bad report. I am appalled the read the report from Emily S and my only recomendation for her is that she consider listening to what her stylist in the future recomends because lets face it, hair stylists dont go through all of that schooling and spend all that money to just blow smoke and intentionally steer their clients in the wrong direction. That is how they make their living and their goal is to have happy repeat clients.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in the way that Erika and the salon manager whom wouldnt give me her name and wouldnt take responsibility for their actions!! The Salon management pushes their employees like Erika to push product and treatments on customers and when I finally have in and said yes... I paid for the extra treatment and within hours... I had hair breakage & damaged hair and they will not take care of the problem they created!!. Erika nor the manager will NOT REFUND MY MONEY OR ATTEMPT TO FIND A SOLUTION. BEWARE... Their products & treatments caused breakage and damaged my hair... I can do the same to yours!! WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TO GO THROUGH ... IN EVERY WAY and all because making money comes first to them!! #YOURCUSTOMERSERVICESUCKS #NOSTARRATINGS

Just had my hair cut today by Mariana. Loved the cut and the stylist! She was very personable and was great to talk to about all sorts of things. She offered advice on how to go about the style that I wanted and took great care of me. This was my first time at Bellissimo and I have to say Ill be coming back. The cut was a little more pricy than I expected (but when you grew up getting cuts at walmart, anything over 20 dollars sounds pricy) and came out to being $50 dollars. Sounds like a lot but it was totally worth it and came with a nice wash in adjustable sinks (for tall people, this is great!!), a hot towel around the neck with lavender scent, and a head massage (that wasnt just her lathering my head!). You dont get that kind of treatment at walmart. =)
