NEVER GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY! My husband died unexpectedly at a young age. I chose this funeral home because it was very close to our house. We had the creepiest, most obnoxious and least helpful funeral director set up our services. Paid $200 each for three death certificates and paid for makeup application for open casket service at that time. Was told to bring an outfit for his services, nobody had the decency to mention we would need a hat to cover the massive bloody scar running across my husbands entire head from the autopsy I didnt even know had happened. Our sons couldnt see him like that so we scrambled to find a hat. Paid for makeup application, yet when he was brought out there was obviously none, as his skin was BLACK, yellow and purple all over. Finally found a hat to put on him, and the second it was placed on his head to cover the humongous gash he was wheeled away AND OUR SONS NEVER GOT TO SAY GOODBYE TO THEIR FATHER!!! One year and over 20 phone calls and three repeat visits later we still have NO DEATH CERTIFICATES and have no idea why he passed. Even when I went to go pick up his ashes they had no record of the extremely expensive urn my son had picked out (and I had already paid for), couldnt even find HIM for five minutes, and they hadnt seperated his ashes between me and his mother as we had requested. I seriously paid for the simplest service they offered and the level of incompetency was still outrageous. If I could give negative stars I would. ALSO paid for "thumbie" necklace pendant which is a silver pendant with your loved ones thumb print on it. When I received it it was just the side of his thumb!!! How hard is it to get a decent thumb print before you cremate somebody?? A preschooler could get that right. I feel like this funeral home is a scam and I should probably sue to get my money back.

PLEASE ..... IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ALLOWING THESE PEOPLE TO PLAN A FUNERAL FOR YOUR FAMILY .... TAKE MY ADVICE & DO NOT EVEN HAVE THEM ON UR LIST OF OPTIONS ... I HAD TO HAVE MY DECEASED DAD MOVED FROM LEGACY IN MESA TO HERE , AFTER LEGACY CHANGE DDATE OF FUNERAL WITHOUT MY CONSENT & THEN CALLED POLICE BECAUSE I WAS UPSET AND BEING LOUD IN THEIR BUILDING I THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLY A BLESSING CUZ THESE PEOPLE AT BEST SEEMED TO BE SO CARING .... THE MINUTE THE RECIEVED THE SIGNATURE & PAYMENT FOR THE SERVICES , THEY TURNED INTO THE RUDEST , UNCONCERNED , NO COMPASSION & COOTHLESS PEOPLE IVE EVER MET . THEY REFUSED TO RETUEN CALLS AT ALL THEY DID NOT ALLOW ME A VIEWING AS PROTHEY LET ME SPEND $500 ON A CASKET SPRAY FLOWER ARRANGEMENT ONLY TO FIND OUT AT A MILITARY FUNERAL NOTHING CAN GO ON TOP OF CASKET EXCEPT FLAG SO $500 DOWN DRAIN BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT COMMUNICATE WIT ME WHATSO EVER & THE LADY MESSED UP ON SCHEDULING SO MY DADS FUNERAL TOOK PLACE WITHOUT THE PRESENCE OF A PRIEST . & A YEAR LATER I CALL ASKIN FOR A PRIEST TO GO BLESS HIS GRAVE & WAS TOLD THEYD CALL ME BAC IMMEDIATELY I WAITED ALL DAY & THE LADY HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I EXPRESSED THE FACT THAT THEY WHOLE STAFF HAS BEEN RUDE TO ME

Let me start by saying how disappointed I am with Best a funeral Services in Peoria AZ. We have used them twice before and expected to have the same type of positive experience, which we did not. The person we met with for arrangements was 25 minutes late to our appointment and walked into the room without apology and offered no condolences for our loss. We were there to make arrangements for our mom and very distressed over our loss. The representative completed our arrangements efficiently (like we were buying a computer or piece of furniture) and we were shocked over her lack of empathy. In addition, she did not thank us for using their business. There was no compassion, sympathy or anything said to help us feel a little ease in our difficult situation. A letter was left for the "Director " at a later date explaining our experience. We have not received a call "apologizing" for the bad experience or explaining how the person will be coached for future customers. I dont feel I can comfortably use this business again as we were not valued as a person or customer.

They are very nice people to work with, but if you are from out of state, I suggest you have someone there follow up for you if there is anything still lacking to be done . My mother died last August 2012 in another state. We had her cremated remains flown to Best because she was going to be placed with my fathers remains in Garden of Memories. The family saved for 8 months to go have her memorial in Az this past March. We get there and theres no name plaque on the niche. We inquire about it and no one ever ordered it. That hurt us real bad because none of us from out of state will ever be going back to Az, and we would have liked to pose for a picture below my parents niche. It took several phone calls and now finally 2 months later, her name plaque has finally arrived. I guess we can be happy about that, but will not be fully satisfied until I know her name is up with my fathers.

No stars... I suppose if you are accustomed to cremation, this place might be suitable. My family is not accustomed to cremation and this company did not do nice work in preparing my mom for burial. She did not look presentable and we, really, should have had a closed casket. My family is accustomed to calling hours and visitation where we can spend a comforting time saying goodbye to our loved ones. Due to the unpresentable state of my moms appearance we did not get to have a comforting time... I deeply regret using this service.

They have really bad service and didnt help my family. They lied to us. While we had continue to call in ordero know what was going on they did not have good communication at all. I WOULD NOT recommend this place.

The staff was prof, capable and attentive and didnt attempt to upsell any services which were reasonable in price. They also provided information one doesnt think about during the stress of a loss
