Absolutely terrible service. Originally brought the vehicle in the first time because the battery light was on and then the vehicle died (just had a brand new battery put in beforehand), so I told them to take a look at it. They went ahead and took a look at it and told me it was a problem with the alternator. Had the alternator replaced and was told the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I arrived and went to turn the car on and the battery light was still on. I hop out of the car and tell them the battery light is still on and the gauge is low, they proceed to tell me that it is fine and the battery should charge. I say okay and take it off the lot, stop at a gas station and fill up my tank. Try to start my car and sure enough, its dead. So I take it back another day since they are now closed at this time. So second time I bring it in they do exactly as they did the first time, they only checked the alternator and the battery. They swapped out the alternator and told me the alternator is good, and sure enough when I went to start the car the battery light is STILL on. I bring it to the managers attention who tells me the problem is that the battery is so dead it needs to be charged over night and also recommended that I take the battery back to where I bought it and to have it replaced. I get the battery replaced again and it temporarily fixed the problem but the battery light is STILL on. It dies again the very next day and I have to push my 3 ton vehicle through an intersection. At this point Ive had enough of Midas being incompetent after both times I brought it there and took it somewhere else. This new mechanic finds the problem the first time I brought it in unlike Midas. The problem the entire time was a grounding wire from the alternator to the battery. DO NOT take your vehicle here.

You cant trust a thing they tell you. They take advantage of folks who dont know better. My 19 year old son took his truck in because the pads were squeaking. In actuality, all four wheels had been removed and inspected the night before by his father. Nothing was wrong with the brakes other than some brake dust that was causing the noise. He didnt know this when he took it to get an estimate. Midass employee Jason told him that he needed over $1100 (Eleven Hundred!) dollars worth of parts and labor - the Master Cylinder, both rotors, both drums, pads etc. And, moreover he attempted to use fear that something bad was going to happen if my son didnt have the work done RIGHT THEN! This is a pathetic display of greed and proof why you cant trust Corporate America. Oh, and in case you are thinking of going to Just Brakes instead - those rip-off artists wanted $850!! ~ Find a good local mechanic you can trust - Better Business Bureau will hear from me next. If more people reported rip-off artists like this, perhaps theyd start being professional and HONEST.

I arrived for a simple oil change and tire rotation with my $19.99 coupon. Upgraded the oil to synthetic, however was never told how much more that would be. The service tech advised me the filter for my car was "unusual" and would cost $42... so I walked next door to buy one at ORileys for $12.99. One hell of a mark up if you ask me.. In about an hour I received a call that my car was done, when I returned to pay and pick the car up, the tech advised me they didnt have the right lug to take the tires off so they werent rotated. Tell me how a Midas (tire shop) doesnt have a simple 17mm spline for tires. I know Discount Tire has one, and they are across the parking lot. Ultimate laziness, also after returing home and inspecting the "oil change" I was very dissapointed to discover oil all over my valve cover. My engine was very clean, and I just spent 3 hours cleaning the accumulated dirt off of it, and now there is oil all over it. Thanks guys. Oh and my $20 oil changed turned into $75.. and I didnt even get the tires rotated.

I have gone to other shops in the area like Auto Zone and Pep Boys and have always bought what they recommended until I finally decided to get a second opinion and I am VERY glad I did. I went to see Midas on Peoria and showed them what was recommended by other guys and they took the time to put my car up on the lift, took me out to the car and showed me all the things I was told I needed but when in actuality I DIDNT need any of them. I almost wasted $600 because of the other guys. Thank you so much Tom & Bill for taking the time to treat me like I mattered and not a dollar sign. I have since been back a few times and they have taken such good care of me and there prices are AWESOME! I have recommended them to everyone oh and they are under new management so give them a try.

This is by far the best customer service Ive received at any automotive shop. It was clean and didnt smell like most shops Ive been too. Ive heard around my neighborhood that the place is under new ownership, it definitely is! You can tell that they actually care about you as a customer. Thomas is the owner, what a great guy. I had the standard oil change performed, it comes with a tire rotation. I was informed of some other issues that would need to be addressed in the future. An all around great experience, I know some many people write negative reviews if they feel slighted in anyway. I true and do the opposite, I had wonderful service and I want everyone to know about it. This Midas location has earned my business. Hope this helps.

Terrible way to do business. Went in for oil change...they attempted to rotate brand new tires (stickers were still on tires) and broke a bolt. On another bolt, they had stripped it back half way and left it there. Rather than telling me they had screwed it up, the manager came out and told me they wouldnt change the oil, because all my seals needed to be replaced and it was spewing oil everywhere. They sent me on my way without telling me about the damage done. I went on a road trip the next day - driving the interstate at 75 mph without knowing that my life was endanger. Slick move not to tell me what they had done, instead telling me how bad my car was. DO NOT GO HERE...

A year ago they had a great staff that was very fair if you did negotiate with them. You can always do this by the way. I have been in car business for quite some time. Now 2010 is here with a new staff at this location. Went for an oil change recently, told the guy I would be back, he ask for my cell# in case of anything came up. I new instantly what was coming next. 25.00 part 3 hour labor=425.00. This guy must have thought I advertised idiot on my forehead. I bought the part at auto zone and had it done for a 100.00 through a buddy. Now the average would have been 60.00-80.00 a hour which is fair but negotiable, not 120.00 an hour. That is insane.
