I recently used Pack Rat for a move where we had to have our belongings stored for 2.5 weeks until we closed on our new home. So, I had initially declined the additional insurance offered by the order taker when I called in. Before we had the container dropped for delivery, I told the driver that I need to make sure I have the insurance to protect us in case something happens. The driver assured and reassured that I could call in and have it added on, but that I had to initially decline the insurance on the paperwork that he had for me. I agreed, and ended up calling the next day after we loaded part of the Pack Rat up. The agent on the phone said I couldnt add it on after it was ordered. I escalated to her supervisor and they told me the same thing. Her supervisor then proceeded to tell me that it seemed "weird" that I would call in afterwards to add the insurance. She was insinuating that I had broken my own belongings and then were trying to add the insurance on afterwards). Most companies when you purchase something let you add insurance or protection on LATER if you so change your mind. Not Pack Rat! They will accuse you of being dishonest. After going back and fourth with the snarky supervisor, I asked for a courtesy good will credit for my order, given the fact I was given incorrect information by THEIR employee. She declined and said there was nothing they "could do." I would have been happy with a $25 credit, which was less than 10% of my order. Next time I need this type of service, I will go with someone else like PODS. Please beware of this dishonest company with poor customer service! Oh and side note - none of our belongings were damaged in the move or transit.

BUYER BEWARE! This company will beat any other quote but thats where it ends! 35-45 minute wait times for existing customers to access service- IF youre lucky enough to get a response. When you finally get a voice on the other end, customers are called lairs regarding delivery dates and times. Ask to speak to a supervisor and learn how much they dont care about providing customer service- completely indifferent to your requests. After-the-fact charges are a regular way they recoup the money you "saved" rather than using one of their competitors. Charges like "fuel surcharge" or "AM priority pick-up" or even "early unit retrieval" are added to your credit card. These idiots are never wrong and the customer is always stupid. NEVER USE THEM! Pay the extra money for a more reputable service. 1-800-PACK-RAT SUCKS!

1-800-PACK-RAT turned out to be such a convenient last-minute option for my out-of-state move! Initially, I wanted to drive all of my stuff (by myself, nonetheless) in a truck because I really didn’t see any other AFFORDABLE way to conquer this move. 1-800-PACK-RAT was super awesome from start to finish! Laurie was awesome with providing me the information in detail that allowed me to solidify my decision to move forward with them; Nadia was great with setting up the appointments, and Damian did an excellent job keeping me informed of the whereabouts of my storage unit. I really felt at ease knowing that all of my stuff would get to my new home without issue – and it did! It was such an easy alternative to driving and made moving into a new state much less stressful.

My nephew Ely) had just had a bone marrow transplant. His mother is a single mother of 4. Ely is 10 and has a twin brother. He has been battling cancer since he was 3 and needless to say mom has been unable to work. Her house was in need of serious repair and we needed help. I called 1800packrat and asked for a POD to be donated to help out and they didnt bat an eye. They were super helpful. Their competition, not so much. I would recommend them to anyone. Very easy to work with and came through at a very critical time as Ely is unable to go home until the work is complete. THANK YOU 1800PACKRAT......YOU ALL ARE ROCK STARS

Moving across country can be extremely stressful, and after calling several different pod companies, 1800PACKRAT not only gave me the best deal, they beat their closest competitors price! My pod was delivered by the nicest guys. They were courteous and walked me through everything I needed to know. When it came time for pickup and delivery, same thing. Not once did I have to worry about where my belonging were, and any time I called with a question, they were quick to answer and calm my nerves. Best part, everything arrived safe and sound! Thank you for making this long journey not so long!

My original moving company fell through and was unable to deliver my storage container the day before I scheduled to pack my house up. I called Pack Rat and the customer rep named Valerie White stepped up to the plate for me. She was able to get me a container the following day (Saturday). This still allowed me to get it loaded by Tuesday. On top of this I required another container on short notice and she was able to set that up at the same time when the first container was picked up. Pack Rat saved the day and allowed me to move out of my old house as scheduled. Thanks again Valerie White!

I used Pack-Rat to move furniture from a family home in Flagstaff, AZ to Cary, NC and was delighted with the service I received. The unit arrived on time and was positioned covenviently for loading. It was clean, had plenty of room and had places where I could use rope to tie furniture so it would not move or rub. The unit was then picked up as scheduled and delivered to my home in Cary without any problems or breakage. I highly recommend using this firm if you are planning a move and saved me a lot of money compared to traditional moving companies.

We made a 1200 mile move from Oklahoma to Arizona and it could not have been smoother. 1-800-PACKRAT gave us the best price and consistently knowledgeable customer service. Customer service, from phone calls to delivery guys, was courteous each time. Very impressively 1-800-PACKRAT was accurate in their timetables and even worked us into their schedule 2 days early to pick up our empty containers because we finished unloading much earlier than expected. I would immediately go to 1-800-PACKRAT for our next move.

I loved this option for moving and storing the unit for undecided amount of time. Customer service very helpful and patient when answering my questions. Able to schedule access to storage unit without an additional charge. Pickup and delivery of unit was within the time scheduled. Would use 1-800-PACK-RAT for future moves.

The container was completely unsafe and was delivered half assembled and had a hole at the bottom covered with duct tape I will never use again and I would recommend going with a more experienced company
