Be careful with this company. Another review on a different site pointed out that most of the reviews were written by the owners family members. They have the same last name. I work with a furniture store, and recently started shipping product to Utah. We tried out two companies A1 Pioneer and Unique Deliveries to see which one we liked best. We have had two shipments sent to each company. A1 has been a nightmare and was comparatively twice the price. We especially problems on our second shipment. Unique Deliveries has been amazing - the fees were 1/2 and they have everything worked out so that when shipments arrive you are immediately notified via their automated system. Below is my experience with A1 Pioneer. I had some things sent to A1 Pioneer. I was told to sidemark all shipments with my name and phone number so that I could be contacted. First shipment arrived and sat in the warehouse for several days. No one called me to tell me my shipments had arrived. Lady on the phone apologized and I was not charged storage fees. Second shipment arrived same situation. Freight shippers have been on strike and shipments have been painfully slow and unpredictable. Once again I got no phone call. This time the shipment sat in the warehouse for 3 weeks. When I called the owner answered the phone. I cannot believe someone that owns a company is so tactless with his customers. At one point in the conversation he told me that if he had been a smarter guy, he wouldnt be in the moving and storage business and that he cannot be held responsible for notifying his customers when their shipments arrive. He later told me that he hadnt provided anything in writing to me about his services so he can not be held responsible for notifying me (my guess is that operating in ambiguity lets him gouge his customers). When I pointed out that his competitors notify their customers he told me that he doesnt do that because it is none of his business why people need his services - talk about a nut job! When I was onsite at A1 Pioneer I was upset that my customer had waited 3 weeks for something that was sitting this entire time in his warehouse. Now to pay storage fees for that is adding insult to injury. Getting the storage fees removed was my priority. When I rode away and looked at the itemized bill I saw that he charged me for 2 months of storage fees when my things had been there for only 3 weeks. Even his receiving fees were shady. I was to pay $25 per item. The chairs came in 4 boxes wrapped on one pallet. On the invoice I saw the qty was 1 and he charged me $75. Looks like he is equally terrible at math as he is at customer service. Unique Deliveries. They charge by time and not by item which originally concerned me, but we have paid $10-$12 per item instead of $25 per item at A1. Storage fees are extremely reasonable as well. Equivalent items have been $30 instead of A1s fees of $50. They are also accurate in their billing and they have an automated receiving system that generates an email when your items arrive.

The first time I used A-1 Pioneer to help me with my move, I was completely blown away by their speed and ability to move things quickly. I was a college student in an apartment, and was only about 1/2 way done packing when they arrived. I had been dragging my feet since moving is so overwhelming! When the guys arrived, they helped me finish the packing quickly, and loaded up the truck with my things so much quicker than I had anticipated. On the other end, the unload was just as quick. It was then that I realized I would never try and move myself again - it is so worth the money! I used their services again when I moved across country, this time being married and moving with a piano. I was so impressed by their professionalism, thoroughness, and kindness through the whole venture. It was truly a first class experience.

I used A-1 about 6 months ago for a local apartment to apartment move and was very happy. What I was most impressed with is that they had all the supplies to move me ready to go. They had special boxes to wrap my glass table, saran wrap to protect drawers from opening, dollies, all the goods. I used Two Men and A Truck before A-1 and was disappointed that they didnt have screwdrivers to help me disassemble a table base and seemed to have a poorly prepared truck. A-1 I would trust more for expensive, breakable items. One of the two men who did the move didnt speak fluent English, but the other man did. One thing I didnt like was that they brought the huge 24-footer truck to do my small apartment move- I would have preferred something smaller. All in all- great experience. BBB registered, professional.

Horrible! They delivered the wrong mattress and call me crazy but I dont want to sleep on someone elses mattress. I now have to buy a new one out of my pocket!! They over charged me by $1000 dollars and were a week late on delivery. DO NOT USE A1 Pioneer!!!!
