On Jan 18th I Called AAA roadside assistance to have my car towed to a AAA approved repair facility. I have been with AAA for the past 6 years and have always had an excellent experience. Until my car was town to this location 1050 E Camelback Road phoenix, AZ 85014. I requested a simple oil change and vehicle inspection that is complementary to AAA gold members. I received a phone call from Jimmy the next day telling me per management, they were refusing to work on my vehicle and said I needed to have it towed away asap or I would be charged a per $20 per day storage fee. I asked jimmy to have to manager give me a call. I never spoke to the manager but did receive and email from him telling me due to the carburetor having spider webs inside of it, they were not able to do a simply oil change/vehicle inspection. The email came from Travis Mock threating to impound the car if I didnt have it off of his lot asap. I was out of town at the time and had to come back early because I didnt want my car impounded. I had to burn two AAA service calls and had my car towed to my house. I was never able to get my oil changes on this car and am out 2 service calls. Im sorry but spider webs in the engine compartment is the pettiest excuse not to service a vehicle that I ever heard. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Especially if you have been a AAA member for 6 years. The management was dismissive to me and my vehicle and I will never even think about going back to this shop.

Follow up to my below original review. I wanted to share that I received an almost immediate email from Travis, the AAA Auto Repair Manager, after my post. He graciously offered a fair and immediate solution to the misdiagnosis charge I paid. This was a more than pleasant surprise and I feel much better knowing that they are ready and willing to correct their mistakes unlike some businesses today. Understanding that "stuff" happens I applaud their customer service in making this right. Terrible service! Go somewhere else, they are no different than other shady repair shops. Took it to them as they were near my work. Charged me $250 for a 4 hour diagnosis of my AC failure and said it was a bad ECM. Their estimate was $1,000 to fix, on top of the $250 to diagnose. I initially told them I thought it was a bad compressor, but according to them the compressor was fine. The worst part is, if I paid the $1,000+ to replace the ECM, my compressor was still bad and that would have been another $1,600 by their estimate!! It would have cost me almost $3,000 to get my AC working. I took it to another mechanic near my home and they diagnosed it in 15 minutes (bad compressor), cost was $900 and AC is working perfect. They should refund me the $250 they charged me for misdiagnosis. Staggeringly incompetent or intentionally defrauding customers, I dont know which, but Ill never go their again and neither should anyone else.

Ok so this morning I had NO intention of having to stop at a car place. But on my way to work someone flagged me down and told me my back tire was completely flat. I had no clue how it even happened because I didnt hit anything. So I stopped at the first place I could see and it happened to be here. I jumped out, and noticed that my poor tire was down and out for the count! The guys there, were SO FRIENDLY!!! I was a mess this morning, I was on my way to a big corp. function, and they checked out my tire without me even having an appointment, told me that my tire was in really bad shape and even put my spare on for me. They even held my car for my while I ran to my Corp. Office for 30 mins and when I came back, the guys were so nice that they didnt charge me! I would honestly come back and refer anyone to them now! They were AMAZING!!! I cannot thank them enough for helping me this morning!!!! Go here! They will help you out! They made a customer out of me without even really trying! Thank you so much!!!

Briefly, I used a local repair establishment "Whilemes" in town, to get a "Diagnostic" review of my vehicle. I took it in to repair a loud "Pop", then "Blue Smoke"? They immediately give a $105, bill, to tell me that the repairs would be in the thousands? I had my vehicle removed from there site. I then had my vehicle towed to "AAA" certified repair center. Once @ there location, I was notified by the service manager, that the "Team" had (vehicle) to put it on the diagnostic machine. The next day, the problem was identified, "It was minor problem". Out the door for $200. Wonderful. From my experience I would recommend "AAA" to all. (It saved me thousands) The for "Profit" garages, will/can hold you "Hostage", to sell you services you dont need. Thank you for being there for me. I will always take my vehicle to this "Honest" establishment in the future, for all my "Vehicle" needs.

After my car stalled in the middle of the freeway, called AAA for a tow. Driver arrived ten minutes before they said he would, quickly got my car loaded up and hauled it to this AAA facility. Staff was absolutely SUPER. Pleasant, helpful, quickly diagnosed the problem and had things fixed the same day. Staff could not have been more helpful! I will be returning here the next time I need vehicle work done and will be spreading the word to friends and family. I wish this facility was closer to me home, but the superb service is worth the little extra drive!

WHEN I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE, I WAS QUOTED $30 BECAUSE I HAD MY OWN 6 QUARTS OF MOBILE 1. I DID TELL THEM I DID NOT HAVE THE FILTER. DURING THE SERVICE I WAS TOLD I NEEDED AND ADDITIONAL QUART OF OIL, AND I WAS FINE WITH THAT....HOWEVER, THE SERVICE ENDED UP COSTING ME $54.95 AND TOOK 1 1/2 HRS! MY JAGUAR DEALER CHARGES ME $65, IT ONLY TAKES 40 MINUTES AND THAT INCLUDES A CAR WASH AND VACUUM!

I was driving through on a long trip to California and had some handling problems. They replaced the rear shocks but that was not the problem. When I got to LA, still with the same problem, I went to another place and they replaced the front struts: no more problem. When I called AAA, the guy told me they would make things right, but never heard back from him or his boss after 2-3 calls and a letter by mail.

I have been going here for about 4 years. They are the first honest shop that I have come across and Im amazed at how much less they charge for many of the same repairs that Ive paid considerably more for at other shops. Oh, not to mention the fact that at two other previous shops Id paid for a timing belt replacement when my vehicle actually has a timing chain.

Though I had to wait a long time for the pick up and tow, I found the staff most courteous and helpful. It took a while for them to find the problem but overall I was very satisfied with the staff. A special "thank you" to Nancy, who drove me home and picked me up at work when the car was ready. She is a wonderful employee and made the experience a little better.
