A word of caution: I visited the Golds Gym (now EOS Fitness) in Ahwatukee in December to sign-up for a gym membership and personal training. I tried it out once, wasnt happy with the service, and called the gym shortly thereafter to cancel my membership and personal training plan. The personal training manager said he would notify the manager, that it would be taken care of, and that they would call me back if there were any issues. I never heard from them again until this past week. Apparently, the membership and personal training were never canceled and theyve now sent it to a collection agency and they want nearly $600! $600 for one visit to the gym! Of course, Golds/EOS says they have no record of my cancelation request, so my account is still active. And they refuse to cancel it until the balance is paid, so the balance will just keep getting larger unless I agree to pay it. Theyve been calling me 2-3 times a day, even after Ive asked them to stop. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the treatment that I am receiving from these crooks. I would encourage you to stay clear of Golds Gym and EOS Fitness so you dont end up in the same boat when you decide to cancel. Im going in later today or tomorrow to meet with their gym manager, but Im not optimistic.

Good luck trying to cancel! (Or even reach customer service) I recently got a new debit card and forgot to switch the number with EOS. Called customer service to do so and was on hold for over an hour. Finally hung up and tried again the next day. Almost an hr later, someone answers! Of course its some incompetent ghetto girl on the other end that I can barely understand. I give her my routing and checking number, make the payment and I presume everything is fine. I get ANOTHER call this month saying Im past due. I call to find out why only to realize she left my old debit card number on there. I said I wanted to cancel on the last call and thats why I was told my information wasnt updated. This month should have been my last payment. But instead, they want this months payment, a $15 late fee, $15 cancellation fee AND a $25 payment for November. When I told her I wasnt paying that she hung up! As for the gym.. Completely out dated equipment. Better off at lifetime

Steer clear of this gym. They will scam you anyway they can. They lied about free trials with trainers, charged us the next month, tricked us into signing a contract electronically saying we were signing for our debit card and never gave a copy of the contract until we left not even saying what it was. They hit us with a large annual fee + trainer charge that was supposed to be "free" for two months we noticed what happend and tried to contact them. They dodged our calls for over a month. We finally get a hold of a manager they have us speak to a general manager which took another month and a half and he basically laughed on the phone and hung up. They hit us big every month. Do not even walk in to this place. Update: I was contacted by Eos Fitness and was told they would get to the bottom of it and was never contacted again. They drag everything out and charge you along the way! I seriously urge anyone thinking of joining this gym to look elsewhere!

My wife and I were members of Golds along with a friend/co-worker. We never renewed after our one year and once they were sold to EOS, I NEVER got a letter, email or call for the change or to issue new cards. PERIOD. I figured that-was-that. Not quite.... They kept charging my card and once the card credit card was renewed, they wanted to keep billing. So the calls started.... I NEVER signed a contract with EOS to charge me no was there a clause in the Golds contract. Now they threaten collections for a $19 fee ($10+9 for wife). Pretty cheesy as we havent stepped in there since 12/2103 when I badly hurt my leg. Make a buck EOS, but dont screw people with threats of collections when you never provided a service. Thanks to Kristin and Brooke for the harassment. I sure missed that in my life until now!

ive belonged to several gyms over the last 30yrs ive lived in the valley. if youre looking for the latest, fanciest, bling bling type equipment. this isnt the gym for you. this gym has plenty of machines, free weights, and cardio machines. to me it has more of a weight lifter vibe to it. unlike a planet fitness type gyms which feels more like a cardio base gym. i dont deal with the staff other then swiping my card. they seem friendly? i pay $10 month to month. only problem ive had was when i closed the credit card my dues came out of. i was told i would have to get that fixed before my next visit. then they let me go lift weights. if you plan on picking up heavy objects and putting them back down or do cardio. this is a great little gym. a place to go and improve your body.

Ive been a member for 4 months. I have tried other GG locations but this location is by far the best (: The staff is very friendly and attentive to your every need. Lili the Zumba instructor is amazing! Even with her huge belly sticking out she totally rocks and her moves are easy and work every muscle in ur body. Jenny the Yoga lady is awesome. Very nice and easy moves make it a great work out to follow. The rr and showers are very clean. They always have a cleaning lady around so there is never a huge mess. Despite the sauna rarely ever working it is a great gym to work out at. Open 24 hrs...cant go wrong (: Thank u GG. U guys are awesome!!!!

Started my eos membership several months ago. The welcome trainer pushed me way to hard and I ended up ripping mucels in my shoulder. I tried to cancel my membership and explain that I got hurt during training. Eos wouldnt let me cancel my membership. I had block them from accessing money from on of my bank accounts. And today I got a recipe saying thank you for your payment. They took just over $100 from an account I never let them have access to. Im going to my bank to open a fraud investigation. EOS IS A BUNCH OF THEIFS. They wont let you cancel the membership but will take money from you anyway they can.

Good gym for the price. Good luck trying to cancel your member ship though. I was told to call some random number and leave a voice mail, that did not work, then I looked on their website where it says to into the gym (where I got the number to call the first time), went to the gym and was told we they cant help me there and was given an email address to contact. Seems like a big run around to cancel a $9 membership. Ill update my rating when they actually cancel my membership.

Demanded my personal info just to get in the door, Couldnt even get to membership people to ask any questions. Front desk lady wouldnt answer my questions until I gave up full name, date of birth, phone number, email and thats the first thing I experienced through the door. Good luck expanding with ridiculous garbage like that, and BEFORE I signed anything too! Imagine how theyll treat you after you sign your checking account away! lol what a joke!
