I looked at my finances today and saw something weird-- two $31 charges from Planet Fitness. This not being my monthly payment day (at which they pull two $10 payments), I was a little confused. I went in and asked what was going on an I was informed my wife and I were being charged annual equipment fees. Normally this kind of thing would be when I nod and go "okay," but heres the thing: we signed up just a few months ago, and when we did I made the person signing us up meticulously go over the fees with me. When we directly asked if there are any additional fees at any point other than what we discussed, we were told no. I verified, "so we have these one-time sign up fees, and then its just the monthly ten dollars, right? Nothing else. No hidden charges. Nothing." This again was affirmed. We even asked about certain things we saw listed in information sheets and were told that those fees did not apply to the type of membership we were signing up for. Simply, if I had known Id get charged another $60 in fees, I wouldnt have signed up. When I tried to explain this whole thing today, the guy at the counter said "well, you were told wrong, then." I countered that I never agreed to pay these fees and would like to be refunded because it was not my fault their representative told me incorrectly, again citing the fact that if I had been correctly informed I would not have signed up with them in the first place. I was told that once the money was taken out, there was no getting a refund, even if I canceled membership. He said it in a way that made it clear he didnt care at all and wouldnt try to help get things resolved in any way. Im going to try calling to get my $62 back, though based on the awful customer service I got in person, Im guessing itll be an exercise in futility. I understand that there may be additional fees, but its extremely dishonest to straight-up lie about them when Im signing up, then expect me to just bend over and take it when you charge me, in spite of the details of the situation. This review is being made while I am actively pissed off at Planet Fitness, hence the one star.

I want to make it extremely clear that as a former gym owner this place is incredible. The staff is constantly doing some kind of cleaning whether I am there at 10pm or 8am. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I want to make sure I am completely satisfied on a long term basis. There are some restrictions on the amount of poundage on the free weights and maybe a machine here and there can be added, however, I have multiple long term sport wear and tear on my body so my ego is "forced" to stay in check and I am better off for it. Dont get me wrong I get a great workout every single time I go. I appreciate the staff. Some are more cordial then others but all are professional. One young lady who works at the front desk in the a.m. is absolutely amazing. If I still owned my gym I would personally seek her out, give her a significant raise and she would be worth every dollar. Brooke is the manager and she has been extremely patience with my 100 questions and did so with a smile. It is true some have said she does it because it is her job but anyone with common sense can tell when a "professional" can take half of her job position/description and half personality combining them and make it all fuse together, then the members are going to have a good overall experience.

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS GYM YOU WILL REGRET IT!! There is a CANCELLATION fee they did not tell me about when I signed up. They gave me the run around when I wanted to cancel because I am no longer in the state where I can just go into the club and harass them. I was told different things every time I called about how to cancel and now after $64.41 wasted money (being charged for 3 months additional of membership they took after I said cancel) they say they never received my cancellation letter sent in JANUARY and that I STILL have to pay ANOTHER $61.97!! This is such CRAP!!!! I would understand if I actually got to use the club but I havent been inside a planet fitness since the 1st week of January!! The gym management here was recently replaced which even PROVES my point that things were not done right here before but the MANAGEMENT/OWNER team has NO heart they are in it for the money and that is it!!!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!

Do not sign up at this gym. Brooke, the manager, is seriously lacking in her customer service skills. Additionally, if you get serious about working out you will quickly find that Planet Fitness will not fit your needs and you will have to sign up at another gym. The ONLY thing that P Fitness has over Gold Gym (which is right across the street) is that they are open on Sundays. Golds offers a pool, cardio classes, better workout equipment, and child care. If your goal is just to sit on cardio equipment all day, sign up at P Fitness. If your goal is to actually work out, sign up at Golds or another gym. I made the mistake of signing up here and Brooke refused to cancel my membership after only 8 days without me having to pay a $60 cancelation fee. If you sign up here, you will regret it.

This location has just what I need and is has good customer service most of the time. The gym is clean and has nice amenities for black card members. I know it is a management choice, but I do wish rather than opening Sunday that they had longer Saturday hours. I am always rushing trying to get in. There is some small support with getting a Workout routine, but for the most part it is good for people who like to do a Workout and then relax. Good for the price. If you are a black caed member it is only a year contract with a miniscule cancellation fee as compared to other gyms were you have a 3 to 5 year contract and have to buy out t g e contract if you quit early. The price is very reasonable for services provided.

What ever u do dont sign up for a two-year contract because you never know whats gonna go on for two years I dont give any company or do any contracts because thats how they get you pat monthly out out of contract Plus dont give them any bank information if you do the out of contract you just have to pay them at the gym giving them your banking information gives them access to your bank and pull money out then you have to regret it and block their butts learned hard way good luck

Planet Fitness is the best gym ever! For only $20 a month you get unlimited tanning, fitness classes, personal trainer, chair massage, and membership. They also have no commitment $10 memberships too! This gym is always clean and there is plenty of workout equipment to meet my fitness needs. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. I am glad I made the switch to Planet Fitness :)))

This is my place!! I love it, no judgemental people or staff, tanning and beatty beds, hydro massage beds and massage chairs even! I love the fact that they take great care of their customers too, by bringing in breakfast for everyone often, and pizza once a month!!! Love love love it here!!
