I used this auto shop on and off for several years mostly for oil changes. The manager there is named Justin, a likeable guy with a marginal level of integrity. His mechanics are young and inexperienced and in my opinion you are gambling if you take your car there for service. I was originally drawn to the store by a coupon I received in the mail only to find when I get inside, that it wasnt valid without applying for a Midas credit card. Justin honored coupon, which included a tire rotation. When I got home - I discovered my tires were never rotated. I was given a free oil change for my troubles and this sustained my business a little more. Once I discovered my dealer had way better deals on oil changes I started getting my work done there instead. I went back to Midas earlier this week to have some additional maintenance work done because they beat my dealers price by 20%, plus they are closer to home so it is more convenient. What was originally supposed to take 40 minutes to an hour (so I was told) took 2.5 hours and I personally sat there and watched the tech struggle to figure how to perform the service. During this time, I also watched another customer come into the shop who was upset because he had his oil changed and they forgot to put the oil cap back after the service. This was enough to completely undermine my confidence in this business. Then as it turns out the price I was quoted on the phone is not the price I was charged - there were additional shop fees included. I was told by one of the techs there that price quotes were all inclusive, not according to the manager though who was rude when I politely asked about the additional fees. My call to customer service went unreturned; you do the math - save yourself the headaches and go somewhere else more reputable.

I switched to this Midas by default about two years ago--and I am SO thankful. I used to go to a different Midas location and continuously felt ripped off and doubted every job I ever had done. After moving closer to this Midas location my opinion drastically changed. From the first time entering this Midas, the manager, Justin, made me feel very comfortable and confident--and trust me, thats hard to do--especially being a girl in a full service auto repair shop. I mean finally I could go to a car shop without having to call my dad first :) I have been taking my car to this location for every service I need, and the service has been wonderful. All of the mechanics are very polite and respectful. When they tell me what needs to be done to my car they personally show me how my current parts look compared to how they should. They never push a sale on me; if I go in for an oil change, I get an oil change. I have even heard Justin say to customers, "I wish I could sell you something, but I cant!" Music to your ears, right?! Granted, they will inform you if something is not looking right and will prioritize the fix for you so you get an idea of when it needs to be taken care of. This store, and especially the manager, have far exceeded my expectations for a Midas. They are dependable, polite, convenient, fairly quick, and are affordable. Highly recommend.

MUST READ REVIEW Overpriced. Make sure you check other Midas before agreeing. Had our Chevy 5.7 truck brought there knowing it needed a new starter. They wanted to run a diagnostic anyways. So we agreed and sure enough it was a bad starter. Not a problem. The problem came when they said the price... $760+ for a starter to be installed. I thought it was a joke becuase normally a starter installed ranges about 300-450, but they were serious. My reply was how much is just the starter? "We dont make anything on the parts and it $350 for a rebuilt one and 400+ for labor. For those that dont know, a starter is very accessible and should take 30-60 minutes to install. So I decided to go down the street buy a lifetime warranted one from autozone for $120.00 went back pulled the truck across the street, installed the starter in 25 minutes, started the truck and left. Very bothered by the whole situation and trying to confirm I wasnt crazy I decided to call a different Midas for a quote. Spoke to the one located in Tempe and was told it should be no more than $390 parts and installed.

I had my car serviced here for a oil change awhile ago. They told me about a bunch of stuff my car needed which in fact was ridiculous. I just went in for a oil change not a over haul. When I had to go to work my car was stalling everytime my rpms went down. I had to rev my engine at every light. Not to mention I had a 8 month old baby in the car and her car seat was in the vehicle while these jerks took my money. My car ran fine before the $19.99 oil change that took 2 hours. I later took my car to my friends mechanic and he said the air filter wasnt put in correctly. He later told me that all the work midas told me I needed was bogus. Do yourself a favor and dont go here.. Pep boys is right next door or there is big O tires around the corner. This place needs to have the doors closed.. DONT GO HERE PERIOD!

!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!If you like throwing away 1000s of dollars there is better ways then going here. My car was shaking real bad while I was driving and I went here to get it fix because I was going on a road trip. Well they told me it was this and that and 1100 dollars it would be fix so ok I come back the next day to get my car and as I was pulling out of the their driveway and I felt it shaking so I went in and they looked at it again and they mest up so they fixed but them it was still shaking. By the third time going in and not getting it fix I realize they are morons and I just cut my loses. After telling my local buddies they laughed because they are well known for being really bad. My buddys car they couldnt figure out how to replace a lightbulb in a head light!!!

They were nice enough while I was there, service was pretty quick. About a month and a half later, I start to hear a rapid clicking coming from the motor or my truck. It cant possibly be that theres not enough oil in there since that was changed less than 3,000 miles ago, right? Wrong. I take my car into another shop and it turns out theres less than 2 quarts of oil in my truck, and its old oil. These guys charged me for an oil change and sent me out of the shop with no oil in my truck. Will absolutely never be back here again, except to get a refund for this oil change. Mistakes happen, but this is a mistake you just cant afford to make. If theres any damage as a result of driving with a dry engine for 2,500 miles, you can be sure Ill be holding Midas responsible.
