My family moved to Peoria in 1988 and I needed an automotive shop that was a passionate about caring for my vehicles as I was. The neighbor behind me told me to go to Pete Nelsons Automotive. We have been there ever since. The other thing I would mention is my family doesnt trade cars often. Joe took care of a Jeep Wrangler that had 220,000 miles, a Jeep Cherokee had almost 300,000 miles, a Saturn that had a little over 200,000 miles, and I still own a 1995 Dodge Dakota that I drive every day. The point being is they do proper maintenance on customers vehicles, fluids, brakes, shocks, batteries, tires, alternators and so on. I never had to have any major engine or transmission work on any of my vehicles which I attribute to quality maintenance. They quote a price before they start the work, and maybe once in over 20 years additional work was needed. I would recommend Pete Nelsons to anyone.

I have been using Pete Nelson Automotive since I moved to Az in 2009. They have INTEGRITY and they are HONEST. I trust them completely with repairs and ALL service recommendations. In the world we live in, it goes without saying, you cant please everyone. I know Joe and the mechanics well enough that for someone to accuse them of misdeeds is without Standing and a LIE! Yes Mr Babcock, I am referring to YOU. Honesty and Integrity is not who you are! Enough about you. There is nothing more important than my family. So having the cars they drive, SAFE, because of QUALITY SERVICE from a shop I TRUST, Pete Nelson is it. If it wasnt, I would be going elsewhere. I will continue to use Pete Nelson Automotive.

Joe and Tommy run a top notch operation. Ive referred friends and family to them whenever I can. Even had one friend report back that Joe and Tommy told them the work that needed to be done was still under warranty. My friend took the car to a dealer for the warranty work, but he knew if Joe and Tommy has not been so honest, they could have just done the work and charged him. He did not know it was still warranty covered work. He later had other work needing to be done; he went back to Pete Nelsons.

They charge $50 just to diagnose a problem where another shop less than five minutes away will check your car out and tell you whats wrong for free. However, they offer a free taxi service to take you home and pick you up when your car is done which is awesome.
