Advantage Auto is a family owned business by a family that cares about its customers! I have searched long and hard to find a mechanic that I can trust and depend on to do great work at an affordable price. I had a bid on some large work (rack and pinion steering replacement, motor mounts replacement, and rodent damage to wiring) and he was easily 25% less than my other quote. To make it an even easier decision, he completely evaluated all the problems without wanting to charge a "diagnostic charge" of $80 that the other shop wanted to find out what the Check Engine codes actually meant (it turned out to be pack rats ate my wiring). So I got a free full assessment and quote for the work. So I left my car with Oscar because of the price, his demeanor, and the great Google reviews. I am SO HAPPY that I found this shop! He was available for my questions on the couple of days they had the car. They gave me a ride back and forth to the shop. They did not go over the quote even when they found a couple of more small things. And to make it even more of a positive experience, when i went home with the car and heard a small sound, he told me to come in when convenient to me and he would fit me in. And he did. I was only there about 20 minutes total and walked out with everything working perfectly. I had an end-to-end wonderful experience at this shop. In fact, I have since gone back to get my brake pads and rotors changed out! Again, a great experience.

If I could give Advantage Auto Repair 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. Oscar is so incredibly professional and kind. We first came to Advantage because our AC in our Isuzu gave out. He and his crew gave her a super thorough go over and let us know what was up (the previous owner had a new blower motor installed for extremely cheap and it was done very poorly) They topped off our oil and let us know to bring her back if anything went wrong. We just brought her back because the alternator belt was slipping and we have a few oil leaks. After an hour he let us know the leaks werent just the oil, it was also the transmission fluid and the leaks were more severe than we originally thought. We told him we were on a really tight budget and we had only planned on spending X amount. Not only did Oscar and his crew fix the most severe leaks but they replaced the belt. The job took over 24 hours, way more time and labor than they had planned and they did not charge us a dollar over our original quote. Looking over the bill, I know it wouldve cost well over twice as much as we planned. I absolutely recommend them to everyone I know. Im broken hearted that we are moving out of town and cant continue coming to this shop. I adore the team here, theyre extremely transparent with the cost, and the work they are performing.

I had just gotten a new radiator mid March in Jackson, WY. It was bought at Carquest & installed at 5959. I drove from WY to Tucson mid May. After I got to Tucson I went to Grease Monkey on Speedway to get an oil change. They recommended a lot of stuff and told me I had a hole in a radiator hose, near the cap. They said I could go buy a hose and they would put it on for 90$. I took it to Advantage to get a second opinion. They took off the hose and showed me there were no holes. They advised me to get a coolant flush and a new radiator cap. They let me know the new radiator I had bought should have come with a new cap.. So I did the flush and a new cap for 160. 6 days later my car overheated on my lunch break :( but as soon as I called Advantage, the owner came to check it out, tow it to his shop and even gave me a ride to let out my dogs and took me back to work! They found that something was wrong w the radiator that had been installed in WY, got Carquest to replace it (bc it was under warranty), installed it and didnt charge me anything! They even had my car ready by the end of the day:)))

My wife, dog and I were driving from San Antonio, TX to California. As we were passing through Tuscon our vehicle started making sound that were not normal. We stopped for the night in Tuscon and got a hotel. After doing some research I found Oscar and his team at Advantage Auto Repair. First off advantage was the only place I found that gave free diagnostic tests. Jorge found the problem after about 5-10 mins of test driving. It turned out to be my rear struts. I ordered the parts and advantage replaced both struts in about 1.5-2 hours. The pricing was very competitive as well. Oh and I forgot to mention that Oscar let my dog Molly hang out in the lobby while we waited! I was very happy that I didnt have to break the bank to get back on the road! I would definitely recommend Advantage Auto Repair to anyone needing repairs. Thanks again Oscar!

Every once in awhile you still experience what customer service is all about. Its rare in todays world, but that is what made my experience so special. I am in Tucson working on a construction project. My truck is my most important tool. I had a front wheel bearing go out big time, to the point that I was reluctant to even drive it. I searched for auto repair shops and Advantage had good reviews so I called them. Oscar was friendly, knowledgeable, and responded within minutes with a quote. Then the shocker: when can you squeeze me in? The answer: right now, will have it done in two hours. OMG! Took the truck over, true to his word, it was ready two hours later and he stuck to his bid. Cannot recommend any higher. 10 stars if they let me. Thanks, Oscar, you will be my go-to guy from here on out.

Oscar will explain anything you want to know about what is going on with your car. He is patient and friendly. He is thorough but does not make unnecessary repairs. The price is right. You are supporting a local family business. In short, this shop will take care of you. What do you think that is worth? (Oscar picked me up miles away when my car was done since the buses were on strike. When we got back, many customers were waiting in his office to talk with him about getting work done on their cars. He really went the extra mile for me. Also, since there is a remark here, I doubt he is padding his reviews with his own comments as almost all of these reviews are already as high as they can go.)

My sons car (97 Toyota) had a problem with the radiator. We took it to Advantage at 9:45 AM. They had to order a new one and install it by Noon! They got it all done and did a fantastic job for a very fair price. They explained in detail what they were going to do, gave a price and stuck by it. Even though it took them a little longer then originally planned due to issues with the brackets. I guess the lower brackets had some unseen issues, They just absorbed the time. They also replaced a few hose clamps at no extra charge. So I can say they are good guys and can be trusted. In fact, we are going to try them with another car we have next week. Ill let you know how it goes!
