Joe at Corner Mechanic called me a horrible customer. I have worked in customer service since I was old enough to work, and I have seen some horrible customers. Ive been cussed out and stiffed and insulted. But no matter how horrible they were, I never insulted them back. And what did I do to deserve being told I am a horrible customer? I asked questions and brought my own parts. He told me that the carburetor now worked "alright" but he couldnt adjust it right, but he still expected $456 dollars for "overhauling" the carburetor. When I questioned having to pay for repairs that were incomplete he said he wouldnt work on my van anymore. He kept cutting me off when I said I didnt want to pay for the repairs if the van still wasnt fixed, and he threatened to scrap my van. I told him he was providing horrible customer service, and he responded that I was a horrible customer, and something along the lines of "I dont need this." I gave it a week before I posted any reviews so I could have a clear head when relating my story. I have put a lot into the van but now I have no more money, as I was forced to pay for the repairs, and so I will scrap the van myself. I was my own bad luck I got a lemon, but when the van was dropped off we asked if we could bring our own parts and we assured that was fine, and we also told them that if we had a budget and needed to know if total repairs would exceed a certain amount. Then I got yelled at for bringing m own parts and a van I could drive before I took it to them runs worse than it did before I took it in and wont start. The remains of the carb-rebuild kit he gave me with my invoice includes a bunch of unused parts that would be in the carb if they had actually rebuilt it comprehensively. If I had been horrible and cursed him, I could understand his reaction. But the bottom line is: He didnt fix my van, he charged me full price to not fix my van, he clearly didnt know what he was getting himself into if he didnt realize what needed to be done to the carb, and he insulted me when I was upset about the above information. I didnt curse or yell or anything, I just asked too many questions. Yup, ol Joe may have worked on my van for four or so hours, but he didnt fix it. But its fair that he gets paid for that work. You should know though, all he wants is his money, and he certainly isnt there to help you.

We were on our way to California and heard a strange noise in our car, and stopped at Corner Mechanic at 5pm on a Friday night. Joe and his wife (unfortunately I did not get her name) treated us with respect and kindness. Joe and another mechanic looked at our car immidately and determined it was not a safety issue and we were fine to continue our road trip. We appreciated their honesty and willingness to look at our vehicle so late on a Friday evening. If you are in need of a mechanic in the Golden/Boulder Colorado, I highly recommend their shop.

On the recommendation of a colleague, I brought my car to the Corner Mechanic for a much-needed brake job while visiting from out of town. The staff were courteous and prompt, but I have never felt so cheated by a mechanic in my life! For 2 low-end brake pads and re-finishing of my 2 front rotors, I was charged just shy of $500!!! When I returned home and showed the receipt to my mechanic, he informed me that this job should have cost less than half as much as they charged me. Watch out for price gouging here. I will never go back.

This small family business is a gem, and theyre actually on my corner which is a big plus for me. They dont know it, but theyve helped me through my first year of car ownership. When my car battery died in the garage over winter break, they brought a jump box to help me out, free of charge. When I had to get my brakes replaced, they quoted me the best price I found and then charged me that exact price after the work was done. Theyre the only folks I trust to do good work on my car and charge a fair price.

I have been using them for only about 6 months, but have been incredibly impressed. Recently a service light came on in my minivan and they checked the codes to see that it was simply a reminder for maintenance. They reset the light and returned the vehicle without charge, respecting my decision to wait to change the oil until 5K had passed. I also showed them a receipt from a prior service completed at another Golden mechanic, and they explained that they would have charged less than 50% of what I paid.

Corner Mechanic is honest and reasonably priced. I limped my car in to these guys after a small accident. They took a look at it, gave me a price, and then proceeded to call another mechanic to find the other shop could do it cheaper! These guys actually sent me to a specialty muffler and exhaust shop even though I was panicked and they couldve gouged me because they wanted to give me the best service and price they could, even if it wasnt theirs. Very impressed with that level of integrity!

Very nice people but never tell you that it cost to see if your battery is dead. You would think by buying a battery from them that it wouldnt cost more. Almost 50.00 bucks extra to tell me you need a new battery. I would of used them next time for more auto work but after you ripped me off for a battery, Ill pass!!! . Next time you hook a little machine up to anyones car tell them before you do" Hey Im going to charge you for this" I could of changed my own F_ _ _ING battery. RIP OFFS DONT USE

Excellent Mechanic. I couldnt be happier with the service and the work they did on our Jeep. We have an 04 Rubicon that was experiencing death wobble and we couldnt find the culprit. They figured out that our tie rods were loose and we had a frozen U joint and it drives excellent now. They even sat with us and went through computer simulations to show us why they thought the U Joint was causing the vibrations.

I was on a business trip when my vehicle began overheating. I was in need of immediate help. Joe (the owner) took it upon him own self to look into my problem and had us back on the road in an hour and a half. He was short two mechanics that day and had many customers he was helping yet had me fixed up. I would HIGHLY recommend Joe and his business for any of your mechanic needs!!!

We recommend Corner Mechanic to everyone. I have used them for 6 years and have only had great experiences. They are always honest about what they are doing and if they think its going to work. They do their best to get us in quickly and make sure were taken care of. We have had a whole variety of issues, and they have done a good job on all of them.
