I am editing this post, because after going to the USPS website and logging a formal complaint against what had happened, I got a call from someone from this location after a couple days. It was a woman. I dont know her position, but she was extremely nice and promised it would not happen again. I was very satisfied by the end of the call. I felt that I had been listened to and the problem had been resolved. Thanks a lot for that. Sometimes one call is all it takes! Original post as follows: This place has the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced in my LIFE. I have had the displeasure of going to this location twice. The first time, I had just moved to Tucson, so I needed to do a change of address. Im young; I had never done a change of address. So, I wait in line for a couple minutes (all of the customers in line were nice), when I approached the counter I was greeted by an African American man who seemed cheery at first, but once I started telling him what I needed and that I didnt know what I was doing, his body language turned sour and annoyed. The more questions that I asked, the more apprehensive he got. I remember confirming the day that I would had to come back by for the change of address and he laughed at me... Laughed at me. As if the answer was the most obvious thing. I was very displeased. The second time, Again Im young and dont use post services very often, I went to ship and a package with a prepaid shipping label for UPS. This post office is USPS. They were the closest post office, so I was like, "why not find out if they can take UPS packages?" So I approach the counter, and Im helped by a bald white guy. I put the package on the counter, he looks at it as Im taking a picture of the tracking number with my phone and says, all in one sentence, "We cant take that, its UPS, next." He didnt even ask me if he could do anything else or tell me where the closest UPS office was. I had barely got up there and he just says, "next" the the person behind me, is if Im just an inconvenience. So I look at him and ask, "well, where is the nearest UPS office?" He doesnt even LOOK AT ME, and says, "Broadway and Craycroft, next to Toys R us, next." At this point my blood is boiling. I pick up my package, walk away from the counter and swear never to step foot in that place again. Now, I know that I said I am young and whatnot, but I have been in customer service since I was 18. since then I have worked 3 different jobs (6 years in total), and one of them was a store manager position. I like to think that I know a thing or two about customer service. If I was running that place, I would make some serious attitude adjustment, and whoever wouldnt adjust, fire them. Your workers are unreasonable and unhelpful. Someone needs to straighten this place out.

I worked at this location for some time. It makes me really sad to see all of the negative comments about the office. Unfortunately there arent enough people to cover the Windows, but with the Plant closure postponed for at least a year, we will hopefully get more people for the window. I have also read that customers are upset that window clerks are taking their breaks while its busy; we can go 5 hours with out a break and simply need to step away. We hate to do it, but as all of you can understand, work is demanding. There is NO excuse for rudeness from any of us! Rumor has it that the Post Office will be finally filling vacant positions ow that we have until 2017 before the possibility of Plant Closure. The reason letter mail is taking so long is because it has to redirect to a facility the processes it. Thats why if you send a letter locally it is postmarked in PHX and takes 3-4 days. At any rate, I promise to each of you, that you will have my absolute best no matter what office Im working in. To the young man that needed a CoA and needed help with the form: dont feel bad!!! It seems that no one is taught any of this anymore! We used to learn it in 3rd grade!!!! There is nothing more important to me than making sure you understand how your mail moves, and when shipping out, that you get the absolute best value for your money. *We have just started used a Lobby Assistant to help expedite service for everyone. Anyone picking up mail/ keys, buying stamps or shipping flat rate parcels and are imaging debit or credit can see the Clerk in the Lobby. They will also make sure you have all the correct forms you need for you transaction. Anyone that is unhappy with service, please contact our local representatives (congress/ Senate...,even the President of the United States) and ask them to keep mail in Tucson. If the plant does close in 2017, ALL mail will be trucked to Phoenix, not just letter mail. As far as "lost mail", while sending letter mail and large envelopes Certified costs a little over $3.00, it is worth the price. Sometimes the recipient may overlook mail piece and throw it away, they could simply say it wasnt received ect. Postal Workers take the Sanctity of the Mail very seriously. We know that envelope youve sent is to keep your lights on, and a roof over your head. We use the Postal Service too!! . Certified comes with tracking. We will be able to locate its last location. I will try harder for each and every one of you!!!

I have never written a review before, but I feel compelled to this time. Enough is enough. The goal: To get a present to my friend for her birthday. The reality: Over a month after her birthday (approaching two) she hasnt received it. I purchased a gift for my friend off of Etsy, and had it shipped directly to her by two day mail. Twice. The first time it was sent back as undeliverable, and it took over a month to get back to the seller because they had tagged it with some code and it has been SITTING IN THE DISTRIBUTION CENTRE THE ENTIRE TIME. The second time, despite using a different address, it was also undeliverable. My friend has letters and packaged delivered to BOTH addresses all the time. There is no further details even in the post office system (I called to check), so the only conclusion I can draw is that whoever delivered that day either didnt have time or didnt care and just tossed it as return. Maybe theyre a really angry person, I dont know. The point is that whoever is trying to deliver is not doing their job, and by the look of these other reviews I am not alone. And the best part? They wont even pick up the phone at this particular location.

I agree with the person who left the review that the delivery service from this location is horrible. We must live in the same neighborhood. I have live in the same location for over 10 years and have not had such a horrible experience like I have in the last 8 months. There was a regular delivery guy for almost the 8+ years and never had a problem. Now for past 8 months I have also met more neighbors then ever because we are knocking on each others doors to deliver incorrectly delivered mail to each other. I thought mail was to be treated as a confidential piece of document. I have not received a few letter Ive been expecting and a few shipment and thats to say these are the items I know of, I dont else I havent received if a neighbor doesnt bring it over. I just received a letter from my health insurance telling me this is their third and final attempt to tell me they need a EOB or they will deny my claim. I have not received my first nor second letter from them. smh - I feel I need a P.O Box to ensure I receive my mail but a bit hesitant to get it from this post office and want to go to UPS but feel like I wouldnt be supporting my local government economy.
