If you’re in Central Arkansas and are interested in martial arts, mixed martial arts, self defense, or just getting in a good non-traditional workout, Westside MMA is THE place to do it. Roli and Matt have assembled a world class team of instructors and have done an excellent job of creating a friendly, supportive, unpretentious atmosphere that makes training there an absolute pleasure. I’m a fifty-something empty-nester who went mainly as a change of pace from treadmills and exercise bikes. It’s pretty cool to be a beginner training alongside men and women ranging from beginners to professional fighters. It’s also pretty cool how even the biggest, scariest guys in the gym are so friendly and supportive. If you haven’t met Boris, you need to. If you want to compete in martial arts, this is the place to be. You’ll find the best fighters and coaches in the area who will push you and help you maximize your potential. If you just want to get in a good workout in a friendly, supportive place that will make you feel at home, this is the place to be. Roli and Matt have great attitudes, and youll be surrounded by training partners who follow their lead.

The last professional fight I had, I left CT, bypassed all the academies in New York City, and headed to little rock to Westside MMA.The talent level at the gym is amazing!!! The coaching staff is top notch in all disciplines, there is a great atmosphere in the gym, with a nice friendly vibe. Aside from the fight side, the kickboxing classes looked to be a great workout, and seeing the kids program there gave me the idea to emulate the kids program in my own gym. why anyone in that area would go anywhere else is beyond me. Best quality, best prices, best staff.. ANYWHERE. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, from the first timer, to the seasoned pro. They really care! After training in MMA since 2010 I have finally found my home gym. The techniques taught and the charisma and characteristics of the people that train everyday beats any other place hands down. The vibe you get as soon as you walk through the doors will reassure your decision of the right place to pour in your hard effort, sweat and tears. After every class you are guaranteed leaving the mats feeling like a better more accomplished person than you were before stepping foot upon them. The love that carries over outside of the mats into your everyday life where you make not only new friends but also inherit a new family. The level of respect and appreciation these brothers and sisters share for one another is truly a showcase for MMA. -Raven N.

Instructors very knowledgeable. Teammates are supportive and adjust to any skill level. The training area was large, a good teambuilding atmosphere. It is not a 5 star for two reasons. Bath/locker room was horrible. Dirty, disorganized, only 3 lockers and the sink is broken. Yes, I understand people to come here for the bath room however, there should be some sort of minimum standard. Second is that the startup cost for beginners is too high. $ 99 Registration fee, $149 a month, $100 for a Gi if you dont have one that is $348.00 just to get started. They should have a better introductory rate for newbie’s.

Very glad that I gave Westside MMA a chance. I quickly learned that the coaches here really care about their students as far as helping them reach their full potential and improve not just in fitness and martial arts but in life. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this gym and I am very grateful for all it has done for me. I am also very happy to see and learn how successful this business has become and I am very proud for the people that have made this gym what it is today. There is no other full-service MMA gym in Little Rock or surrounding areas like Westside MMA.

THE BEST! Ive been to many gyms in the past and have always wound up quitting because of boredom/discouragement/disinterest. While I was nervous about going to a "MMA" gym, once inside, it was the best decision Ive ever made. Im in better shape and feel better about myself than I ever have. Ive even LOST complexes Ive had about my body that Ive carried around my entire life! Ive learned more and found out I was capable of WAY more than I ever thought. Do yourself a favor and check it out. The instructors are truly top notch. You wont regret it.

I was pretty scared at first to set foot inside of a MMA gym but Im sure glad I did. I highly recommend the womens (noon) kickboxing class taught by Matt Hamilton. It has truly been a life changing experience. Ive turned fat into muscle and feel really great about myself. Not to mention, there are other extraordinary woman that go there and have always been very supportive. The staff is phenomenal and the facility is the largest Ive ever seen. If you are wanting to get in shape or just relieve stress, this would be the perfect place for you!

Ive trained in taekwondo for over 20 years and thought that I was as far I could go as a martital artist. In my very first class at westside I quickly realized I was nowhere near where I wanted or needed to be. At westside they dont have their main focus on pushing students through ranks like you find at a lot of schools and gym. Its QUALITY over quantity.... Now that I have my gym I try my best to mirror their teaching style. No matter if your a fighter or just looking to get/stay in shape, the knowlegde there is second to none.

Say goodbye to motivation problems, and say hello to Matt, Boris, and the rest of the crew at Westside MMA! Any age, fitness level, experienced or not, any weight loss or comoetition goal...you can get the guidance and encouragement you are looking for here. I started out with a Living Social coupon, and now Im hooked. Ive never had so much fun getting my butt kicked with workouts. Try a class for free, I bet youll come back. It's well worth the cost of the membership, so work it into your budget! I mean it! :)

This is a fantastic gym. Since I started the instructors went out of their way to make sure that I was learning, and definitely made sure I had fun doing it! Matt makes the kickboxing classes fun and open in a way that allows beginners to not be afraid of messing up at first, then diligently works on your technique (and cardio, lots of cardio!) with a partner at your own speed. Plus the most decorated BJJ staff in the state! Would recommend to anyone, youd be crazy to train any where else.
