Classic case of "if you want it done right, do it yourself." In this case, its matter of "if you want it done at all, go somewhere else or do it yourself." After a fall, winter, and early spring of driving around in the mountains, snow, and deserts of CA, I decided to finally pull the roof rack off my car and wash it. I ended up at Shoreline car wash figuring theyd do a pretty good job since thats their job. I was really interested in the underbody spray they advertised on the big wash-options board, since the road salt in winter is murder on the bottom of your car. I opted for the Superwash for $18.99 Well, no underbody rise. It was bone-dry after they were through. Every other car was equally dry underneath. I asked Israel, the manager, about it and he said they spray it down. Clearly false. The inside of my car was pretty dusty from driving in the desert this spring and it was still decently dusty after they vacuumed and wiped it down, especially the window sills. There were also plenty of spots on the dash that can definitely be removed that werent. The kicker though was all the mud and dirt left in my wheels. I went back in and let them know my wheels were still muddy and Israel said they dont clean that part. They start the wash with pressure-washers, so Im not sure how they let that go. I definitely cannot recommend this place. Theyre usually busy though, and they wash the glass and exterior parts ok, but cmon. I also watched them slam another car into the car-washing track pretty hard. If you had low-profile tires on your car, youd definitely have dings on your wheels from that. Do not go here! Waaaaay too expensive for the service and final product. All pictures are post-wash.

THEY DONT KNOW WHICH END OF THE VACUUM SUCKS AND BLOWS!!! Over the past few years Ive always appreciated their service bc at least the car was cleaner than when I brought it, especially when I was too busy to do it myself. However, after today never again. The quality of their work has diminished so much that they no longer even attempt to vacuum the car or wipe down anything but the front dash. If the automatic mat cleaner cant vacuum it then nothing else seems to get touched. And I mean nothing! Brought this to the owners attention and he said, "bring it back and theyll redo it". No thank you I explained, "this is a common issue and I would like a refund please". He responded by explaining how he does not refund people, no exceptions and went on and on.... Words back and forth explaining my reasoning not wanting to waste my time but customer happiness and loyalty doesnt concern him. Needless to say, a first grader takes more pride in their work than this jackal. I try to be loyal to Alameda business but not deserved here at all. Dont waste your money and go somewhere else.

I took my car in for a simple car wash and left with lots of damage to the inside of my car. My leather seat was all torn up and the inside of the car was still dirty. When I spoke to the manager, he was rude and had very bad customer service. He treated me like dirty. He didnt care to keep my bussiness. I kept my cool while speaking with him, but I was shocked with the words and tone he used with me. Even those who were waiting for their cars to be ready were in shock with his rude tone. With the high street car wash only 5 min away, he not only lost my bussiness but he is also going to her from my insurance company. I told all my firends, family and clients not to go to the South shore car wash. Even if they were giving away free car washes, I still would not go back. They have bad customer service and damage your car! Save your money and wash your car yourself.

Wish I could l leave negative 5 stars. I attempted the second chance rule today as the last time I came here they stole money out of my dash. I was going to go to Charlies car wash as usual but was in a hurry and was already going to Trader Joes in the same shopping center. When I was telling the guy who was asking which package I wanted that I was primarily concerned with the inside being cleaned really well, a verbal fight between him and another employee broke out where one kept repeating the N word over and over. I was really uncomfortable and mentioned it to the front desk girl who had little to no reaction to this. And of course, the inside of my car is still dirty! Horrible customer service, uncomfortable environment, and my car isnt clean. Never coming back and always going to Charlies.

I dont have any clue why these ratings are negative. I just had my car completely detailed, and not only was the price nearly $75.00 cheaper then listed, but the quality of both the exterior and interior wash/detailing FAR surpassed my expectations. My car was a smelly wreck from being driven across the country, and weeks of stinky anatomy clothes in the trunk. Additionally, the service was super friendly, and prompt. The owner/manager treated me like family. It was a really great experience, and I will definitely be coming back.

Overall decent option on the island if you want a traditional wash and vacuum. The pricing is a little on the high side and they get BUSY very fast. Be prepared to wait in line for 15 or so minutes and if you want anything but the base wash try to swing by on a weekday otherwise they might tell you they dont have time. I wouldnt say they do an amazing job and I often have to point out bits of bee pollen and sap on the car to get them to wipe it with cleaner but at least theres a nice view of the beach while you wait!

Customer service here is poor and overall disorganized. Be sure to get a receipt from the first guy otherwise the manager will get pissed off at you..the customer. Also after paying the manager who was mad at me for not having the yellow receipt, didnt give me the receipt the dryer guy needed to release my car to me. Overall bad experience and the car wasnt even cleaned that well. Later I noticed small scratches in the paint! If you value your time and your car, dont go here.

I went and paid for the upgraded car wash - approximately $50.00 - the vacuum job was poorly executed. They failed to pick up a few crumbs on the seats on the main compartment, they didnt even bother vacuuming the trunk. While the car wash was decent, they left wax marks on the roof of the car. While the employees all were nice enough, there was no standardization for the uniform and I didnt know who worked there and who didnt.

Under new manegment for about a year and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the changes. I have gotten three washes here, and am super impressed each time with the detail they put into it. By far the best car wash for the money in the East Bay. My only complaint is that they can get very busy on the weekends and it cam take awhile to get to the vacuuming station. However, from they are very fast.
