RE: change of address. I filed a change of address on the web on April 20, 2016 for execution as of May 2, 2016. I received both hard copy and email acknowledging and verifying that request on April 22, 2016. As of May 23rd, the forwarding of my mail to the new address has not taken hold . . . the first class mail sent to my old address continues to be delivered to that address. I have waited the designated number of business days for the process to take effect. I have contacted the USPS customer service number and registered my concerns at least three times (with the coincident 15 minute plus holds) and been told they will fix the problem. I have called the Albany Post Office on three occasions and after about 15 rings been given a fax tone. No one answered otherwise. I think the whole "consumer service" response is just a sham to delay and repel customer concerns. Judging by the effectiveness of the response/non responses, it appears to be nothing more that people listening to complaints, coddling the customer and then filing or trashing the paperwork . . . no real follow up and no real attempt to solve the problems. The carriers fail to deliver packages. 8+ times in the 3 years Ive lived here they have made fake deliveries. Were home, but they never bring the package. Then well see on tracking that theyve made an attempt. The most recent fake attempt was 5/29, they never came but according to tracking it said "business closed". Its a residence not a business. And a month earlier they even tracked the package as "delivered" - but it wasnt. They brought the package the next day. It really surprises that this can happen so often. Dark times... dark times.

The indian lady at the counter has been extremely rude during every encounter I had with her. Ive talked to her over 15 times, and it is always the same attitude. I did not wanted to post a bad review the first time because I know everyone can have a bad day, but at this point Im sure that is her attitude everyday. If I was the manger I would have her fired in a second. I would like to stress the fact that I havent had any issues with anything or anyone else. Everything else is perfect!

What a pleasure to go here! Im a senior citizen and had a somewhat complicated task a few days ago where several envelopes and stacks of paper needed to be weighed so that I could rearrange the contents to stay under the 13 oz first class limit per envelope. Ernell was more than helpful and his patience was greatly appreciated. His suggestions ended up saving me some expense too. This is the most freindly and helpful USPS I can recall.... way to go ERNELL !!

No one answers the phone when you call. I constantly get text updates that my mailbox is blocked and packages arent delivered.. when they mailbox is not blocked (Im usually home during the delivery time and go to check). The service inside the post office is nice but its a pain to have to drive over there to ask a question that could be answered on the phone.

Got vintage cups and enameled steamer. All came shattered... Clearly looks like someone ran it over at the post office, and it was pierced through. CLEARLY had FRAGILE on it. I dont know who handled it through USPS, but theyll never get my service for packages for a long as I live. The USPS company shouldve went out of service years ago.

Starting this month, some of our packages are being marked receptacle blocked, despite it being empty and clear of obstructions. I dont know if the mail carrier is being given more than she can handle or just being lazy. Dont order or ship USPS if you can help it.

I have generally found the personnel at the Albany post office to be efficient and helpful. The service is so much better than other post offices such as the downtown Berkeley Post Office. For this reason, the post office does have long lines at times.

The USPS is one of the most valuable resources we have. Whether its a letter or a package, the USPS is cheaper and at least as efficient as any other means of sending mail. The Albany P.O is my favorite in the area.

The worst post ever. I was at home whole day but they didnt deliver my parcel. I went to the office to pick up but they told me the package is not in the office right now. I cant pick up. Wtf
