I have only been to the Pinole post office once, and I am very displeased. The man helping me was extremely rude. The man that "helped" me was African American. I am in no way, shape or form racist... Im a minority as well. I just came in to mail some packages, and needed them to be weighed. While standing there, I asked the employee about a scale for my office so that I wouldnt have to come in to the post office all the time. I told him that bought one recently, but wasnt sure how it worked. He didnt offer any advice or help. He, with a smug look and bad attitude, pointed behind me at scales hanging on a display rack, and said "Right there!." I was so appalled at this display of DOUCHE BAGGERY!!! Is there any way I can report this guy. My father has been working for the post office for over 35 years, and now I see what he is talking about. Most of the people employed by the Post Office hate themselves and their lives, and want to make everyone around them just as miserable as they are. What a shame. Oh yeah, they never answer the phones either. I have called every day for 2 weeks. Is this where our tax dollars go? Why did stamps even increase in price? We non-postal workers are definitely not getting our moneys worth.

Wow! I dont know if the other reviewers have lived anywhere else, but I have lived in a few dozen different places in the USA, including Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Hercules, and Orinda, and the Pinole Post office is well above average. Not perfect, no -- its an older building, understaffed (which is not the fault of the STAFF!), and the wait can be longish at popular times. But I have always found the staff friendly and helpful, parking practically at the door always available, and can only once recall them making any sort of error with my mail or other services. Only one P.O. Ive ever used that Id give 5 stars (not in CA), and most Id give less than 4 stars. Pinole P.O. deserves much better than whats posted here by others, IMHO.

I had a very rude lady deliver my mail today.... she was mad cause my screen door was locked and threw my mail on the porch.... yes the door was locked... all she had to do was set the mail down.... you could tell someone was home... then she came back to tell me she was holding my mail cause my daughter called her a name... she said she couldnt ring the doorbell... which was right in front of her face.... then says I am not supposed to ring the doorbell... my regular mail person doesnt have a problem ringing the door bell....am I supposed to leave my door unlocked when I have young kids in the house for anyone to walk in???? If I lived in the 1950s maybe yes.... but not now..... very upset....

My mail person doesnt pick up my out going mail if they dont have mail for me. So my bills are sitting in the slot for days at a time. My out going mail can be seen from the street. On a different day, the post man left his truck running and exited the vehicle while he delivered the mail. The truck slipped out of park and into reverse, missing a parked van and running up on someones lawn. Damaging a light fixture and a big bush.

Very inconsiderate people. Had an important UPS package shipped overnight but they added an extra day to the delivery time because UPS delivered after the " sorting Period" the mail/package had to wait till the next day sorting period. I wonder why the post office is losing a lot of business to their competitors.

Had an important letter mailed to Sacramento, paid extra for priority shipping and it now sits in Albany, NY. How does Sacramento look similar to Albany, NY. Its a time sensitive document too that arrived later than regular mail. Shouldve used fedex

They never answer their phone, I called sooo many times for a long periods of times. They denied me of renewing passport for a minor in person. Very poor customer service.

Friendly staff, but dated facility and frequently long wait.
