While conveniently located if you are in Uptown Oakland, the people who work here are inflexible and make what should be the simplest experience (e.g., mailing a letter or box) incredibly complicated. If you need to use a strip of packing tape to seal the $5 box you bought there, you need to buy a roll. If you want to write on the box with something that shows up better than a ballpoint (since all the boxes they sell are colored and shiny, you cant see the address well with a ballpoint), you need to buy a permanent marker from them. Come prepared with all these supplies, including a box (and do not ask them to stamp "Priority Mail" on an envelope--they wont, and you will have to put it in a new envelope instead), and youll be okay.

My identity was stolen, and the thief put in a change of address to steal my mail as well. The staff here was extremely helpful, tracked down where my mail was being sent to, and quickly prepared everything the Oakland Police Department needed to make an arre...oh wait. The Oakland Police Department. Sigh. Three months later, the OPD JUST got around to giving my report a number. Still havent been assigned anyone to investigate this. The OPD couldnt have done more to help these thieves if they tried. Still, the USPS staff here were prompt, professional, efficient, and all around AWESOME!

ABSOLUTELY S#** SERVICE!! RECEIVED CONFIRMATIONS ABOUT OUR CHANGE OF ADDRESS AND STILL NO MAIL! THIS IS OVER A MONTH LATER, MIND YOU. I HAVE BEEN CALM FOR MONTHS WHILE THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME IN CA THIS HAS HAPPENED. FOR EXAMPLE: PACKAGES CONSTANTLY BEING LEFT ON THS SIDEWALK (FROM WHAT I GATHER) BECAUSE EVERY ONE OF THEM HAS BEEN STOLLEN!!!!!! TRIED TO PICK UP MAIL AT THEIR LOCATIONS RECENTLY... YEAH RIGHT. TRY AGAIN BECAUSE A FIVE PERSON LINE TAKES 40 MIN. GET SOME COMPETENT EMPLOYEES! I WILL BE CONTACTING EVERYONE TO GET RETRIBUTION. USPS YOU SUCK!

Horrible service. No one is ever available. Our mail sometimes comes to our business as late as 7pm. This is not good for a business. When someone does answer they are very rude and tell us to bad this is what it is. Well its not like I can take my business elsewhere. If I could give these jokers zero stars I would. Update, they got snippy with me when I told them the entire 28 offices did not get their mail yesterday and hung up me. No where else to complain. My entire building is stuck with it.

We went to pick up an important package with a pick-up conformation number from this, specific post office (also we had our tracking number too) and to my surprise they cant locate the package for 3 days. They are unorganized and incompetent.

You can not send out a letter or package here it is only package pick up! Other than this inconvenient fact, the post office is fine. Although there never is anyone at the front and you have to yell into the back in order to get some help.

This is just a pickup location. Was quick and easy, no standing in line. Just make sure you ring the bell so someone comes to help you. Also note that it doesnt open until 11 AM.

Theres no stamps no nothing its pick up prepaid drop off and thats it so dont go there needing a box or envelope or stamps
