I have been a member of this gym since it opened. When it did it was an outstanding facility!! However, I have watched it steadily decline over the years, in almost every way - outdated equipment, cleanliness, quality of membership, etc. The staff continues to be friendly and courteous and I do not believe they are the problem. I believe Corporate Management is responsible for this decline and their unwillingness to invest in this particular facility!! -- When I go to the 24 Hour Fitness in Roseville or Citrus Heights - these facilities are continuously updated and much cleaner with a more varied quality of membership! If the Antelope facility was not so close to me, I would regularly go to one of the other facilities. However, at this time I dont use the pool, sauna, showers or locker room and only occasionally the restroom. Corporate needs to do some much overdue updating to the facility and seek to draw in more varied clientele. If money is the issue, and I believe it is to a great extent, I believe updates and improvements would increase their business greatly!! They really need to look at the growth thats taken place in Antelope, CA and decide whether they want to invest in the potential for higher earnings, increased membership, etc. I fully believe, its only a matter of time before another similar facility will open in this same general area and 24-Hour Fitness in Antelope will be forced to close their doors due to their inability to compete with a new, updated facility.

I have been a member for 15 years, but have started using another facility most of the time. The pool is usually cloudy (its small and the sauna people tend to use it to rinse off). The steam room is generally not working well. The treadmills are frequently broken. One treadmill, which actually works, has had a broken heart rate monitor for about ten years. The music is loud enough in some areas that I cannot hear my own through my earbuds (I rarely see people at ANY gym who do not have their own music - why must it be so loud?). On the other hand, the staff is friendly and the place, with the exception of the pool area, is usually clean. It is conveniently located, but if I didnt already have a membership, I probably wouldnt get one based on this location. 3/5/16 Got in a good workout, despite the gym. It is hard to get to free weights, as a number of young men continuously stand around, talking. In the 30 minutes I was in the free weight area, not a single one of them picked up a weight. I can understand talking between sets or a quick hello if you havent seen someone in a while, but this was a full-on social hour. After lifting, I needed a treadmill to run on. As usual, many were not fully functional. I found one on which the belt worked, but several buttons were broken. There was litter around the floor.

DONT BELIVE THAT YOULL GET A FREE GUEST PASS... BECAUSE YOU WONT!!! THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY $20 SO THEY COULD GET YOU TO SING UP IN THERE CLUBE... SHAY(MANAGER) READ!!!! NOT PROFESSIONAL OR ONEST!!! Hopefully you read this post SHAY(Manger). I was considering on to become a member here at this Gym after what happend i will be coming somewhere else. i first went online to check out the classes that you have which i like so i decided to give it a try. So i side to get a free gest pass and i went in 7/15 to take the cardio class at 9am. But the girl in the morning told me that there was no sales personal to give me the pass Im going to have to pay to get in. Which i did and she said that i will get my money back ones Sales comes in. I went in to the class got out but for some reason Adam was really busy and could not help so he took my # down and he said he was going to call me which he did. so i went back again the next fallowing Sat to get my money back and the girl told me that a Manager will call me to give me back my money and Manager never did call. But i got a call back from Adam saying that this time he will make an appointment and he did for 10am on 7/29. But i got there 5 min. before and he never made it in.

Racism happened in club. Today 02/19/2016 time around 5:50 PM. I got free pass online and went to gym happily. I reached there one staff member she allowed me go inside the gym after sign up to there computer as well. AFTER 2 MIN CLUB MANGER BOBBY came to me and said you had membership ever i said yes long time back more then 6 month i am pretty sure. Then he said we can not allowed you for free you have to pay $20 for today or you have to sign in with monthly plan. I said why i have free pass (According to 24 fitness) i have to trial one day from tomorrow i can sign in if i feel comfortable then he said I am manager and I am the boss (bobby) it is my decision we have to make money i can not allow you (rudely) so go out or pay money and he was not listening anything. Mr.Bobby it is not about $20 I can pay but this is the club condition from 24 fitness website User must not have been a guest or member of 24 Hour Fitness within the last 6 months. So you were wrong and from next time please dont do Racism with any one. There was another ass manager he was nice and calm.

This gym is really bad.Over priced and very very dirty.Hair stuck to shower walls , garbage on shower flowers,hot tub is filled with dirt filled bubbles,hot tube is never clean and daycare staff are inexperienced to deal with children.FILTH on top of DIRT.This gym is sooo horrible every time I go there I pray I dont leave with MRSA or some other horrible disease. Dont bother asking for management because you will be greeted by a inexperienced ,non qualified, text addicted teenager. I have asked for a regional manger to call me back in order to voice my concerns and none of my calls are returned. Dont waste your money try any other gym than this location. They deserve zero stars.

I had a really sad personal problem and went to cancel my membership with my daughter. I explained it to them and they cancelled the membership. After that they still charging my daughter because I didnt specifically say I want to cancel her too even though we just have one account. Its ridiculous because she is only 13 and she doesnt have a credit card. I thought they cancelled both of us. They charged her even though we cancelled/stopped going and they didnt want to refund until i called the bank. They didnt care about our serious problem. I felt so upset with the whole situation.

2 reviews 1.0 star rating 6/10/2016 It was ok/bad until it got worst when trying to cancel membership. After months of canceling my account, they still charged me for 3 months and only refund 2 months. The manager (pregnant lady) and staff really know how to play people, they will saying anything but not doing, also a black male staff member was rude and didnt care about it. This gym is nothing like others and managers really need to start being managers. Customer services are highly recommended it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, and that why i changed to California Family Fitness.
