Ed first helped me 3.5 years ago, in 2006. He had been referred to me to provide services to an organization I supervised. I particularly appreciated that he could honor both my desire to learn and understand what was going on with these computer systems, and yet also not talk over my level of understanding; Ed has always been very accommodating. Other computer technicians might resent their clients desire to understand their complicated technological world, but Ed has a sincere interest in helping people understand their computers (and, for those who dont want to know, hes happy to just fix it and get you back to work!). It wasnt long after observing his efficiency, professionalism, and very approachable personality that I contacted him to service my home office computer. What I appreciate most about Ed is his incredibly genuine desire to help people, empower people, and simplify their lives- he time and again goes the extra mile to solve computer problems, and explain in plain-speak how he fixed things! Ill continue to recommend Ed, for the reasons summed up in the subject line: hes committed to his customers, has the skills to do things right, and the integrity and love of his job to make solving our computer woes a non-issue. Thanks, as always Ed for all your assistance!

Ed, the owner/operator of CADNY Computer Repair is one of those people you wish would be behind the counter of every store, repair shop, bar and at the other end of every professional type phone call you make. He is extremely knowledgable. From my experience I would guess there is no computer problem he cannot fix. He is quick, efficient and so good natured it is hard to believe. Honest and friendly thrown into the mix. His prices are beyond reasonable. Where my questions and actions are generally met by silent eye-rolls Ed never fails to make me feel like we are equals. C(computers)A(re)D(umb)N(ot)Y(ou). A rare mensch.

Ive never written a review for any business before but got such excellent, friendly, caring service from Ed at CADNY I feel compelled to share! He figured out the issue with my computer within seconds and laid out all my options in a way that was straight forward and clear to me as a complete non computer person. Everything I had saved on my computer would have been lost were it not for him making every effort to retrieve it. He kept me updated via text message and even gives a free FroYo at Redwood Yogurt to boot. He is honest and extremely knowledgeable, take your computer to Ed!

Ed was both professional and personal at the same time. He makes it comfortable to discuss computer problems and truly listened to our computer issues. Ed came up with a solution that we hadnt even thought about to match our computer usage with what hardware and software we would need in the future. I would recommend him to both my grandmother and my tech savvy friends. He made time to meet with us when we could come to town even though it was outside of normal business hours. Please call Ed if you have any computer problems or if you would like to upgrade your computer!

Great computer guy! Ed Gordon of CADNY was a huge help to me when I needed it. He offered professional and excellent service and was able to help me to select a computer that was perfect for my needs. With the sea of options out there, I can honestly say I would not have been able to get what I was looking for for the price I did without his help. Eds 15 years of experience coupled with his pleasant demeanor made it a pleasure to work with him and I think he offers a valuable and affordable service. Whenever friends of mine need computer help now, I send them to Ed.

I am happy to have CADNY in my community! Why? Because now I know where to go for computer service that I completely trust. (CADNY helped me refurbish & improve my home computer, with a very quick turnaround.) I trust Ed Gordon to give me accurate information, fair appraisals & estimates, and a complete service/product. CADNY respects computer users. If you dont know CADNY yet, I encourage you to read its Mission Statement. Its quite an elegant mission, and it truly is what Eds business is all about. Oh, and his e-newsletters have great information!

As an IT consultant at Humboldt State University, I dont hesitate to recommend Ed for computer repair and support, as his focus on customer service far exceeds many local, well established computer repair shops in Humboldt County. His approach is down-to-earth, straightforward, honest, and generally puts people at ease with sometimes scary situations such as a hard drive crash with data loss and no backup etc. Coupled with his thorough hardware and software knowledge and expertise, CADNYs services are the best value in town!

When my computers motherboard crashed, I was so worried because I hadnt backed up the data. CADNY helped me recover my data before I sent off my computer to the manufacturer at a reasonable price. CADNY kept my data stored until the computer was sent back to me and downloaded the data onto my fixed computer. CADNY also improved the speed of my other computer by eliminating unnecessary programs and adding additional chips. His service was quick and efficient. I am happy with my computers. Thanks CADNY.

Ed "revived" my old and vert slow PC with a new hard drive and it is running like new (nice and fast!). Im so glad that I didnt have to go through the expense of buying a brand new computer and adding my old one to the landfill. When the hard drive that Ed installed malfunctioned within a couple weeks of installation, Ed replaced it very promply and at no charge. I would gladly use CADNY again for my computer-related needs.

I really enjoyed working with Ed. He invited me into his home and worked through the basics of computing so I could better understand my electronic glitch. He empowered me to go online to seek solutions, which fixed my crashing problem. To top it off, he did not ask for compensation for the advice. Ed is a rare gem and gentleman. I highly recommend his professional services.

I took my computer to Ed a couple times. You can tell that he loves what he does and is sincere about helping. Most shops will hold your computer, potentially for weeks, while they are working on it. Ed will give you a loaner in the meantime so you can still do what you need to do which I think is pretty awesome. Hes charming to boot and will totally make you tea.

Ed is great! I am more than slightly technically challenged and Ed was able to get my internet working when I have been having trouble and explain my software issues to me without making me feel like a complete idiot. I greatly appreciate his patience and expertise and will definitely call him in the future when I will undoubtedly have more computer issues.

I would have bought a whole new hard drive if Ed hadnt noticed that the hard drive I had that broke was still under warranty. Not only that, but because of a backup image he helped me make last year, I didnt have to do very much work to get myself up and running again. And I live in Stockton, so dont hesitate to call him up even if you live far away.
