Wow...I just read about 10 of the reviews regarding USPS Bell Gardens, CA sorting facility and I am hoping and praying my situation will be different. I live in NorCal and my younger sister lives in Albuquerque and she has been having a very rough time health wise for the last 6 months....sigh. She was diagnosed with melanoma on her face, neck and chest and has to undergo painful treatment with topical creams that burn, blister & scab to detect exact location of the melanoma and destroy the deadly cancer. Shes had to do each section of her upper body one at a time due to severe pain & taking breaks before moving on to the next area. Anyway, her Birthday was first part of March and I have been working on something I made her & I didnt get it to her in time.....sigh. I was so upset with myself but my sister was her normal unselfish self & said, "DONT WORRY sis"!!! Well, it didnt help & Easter was coming up so I decided to make something in addition to bday gift & also include little basket of goodies for her 2 "loves of her life" furbabies!! So I got everything mailed on Sat., March 19th, paid a little under $40 & the agent at USPS said it should get to ABQ in a week which would be TODAY, Ive been monitoring and no movement from Bell Gardens since arrival, Monday, March 21st. :( I hope beyond hope it gets there next week as Ive already prepared her for a "surprise" package. Oh well, the box filled with so much love is now in your hands...please get it to her next week, I trust you will....Thank you.

I shipped a media package from Brooklyn, New York to Los Angeles, Ca. I received my package within 9 days and when it arrived it was completely damaged/tampered with. The tracking number was torn half way off the box and the box was smashed in. I opened my box to find that half of my stuff was missing and the other half was filled with another persons mail. I was so devastated. I am in medical school and lost half of my medical books and medical notes. The books can be replaced but not the long nights and hours of studying that went into my medical notes to prepare for an upcoming nationalized standardized medical board exam. Now I have no notes to reference and study from thanks to the horrible handling of mail that took place at the Bell Gardens, CA USPS. On tracking my package online the last place my package was in route was at the Bell Gardens, Ca USPS center and it never was noted in the system that it was delivered to me. Based on the other reviews and internet searches about Bell Garden, Ca USPS, I honestly believe my package was tampered with/damaged at this location. For my package to make it all the way from NY and have this happen. This postal office/shipping center needs to be closed immediately. I dont understand why it is still open when complaints from this center date back to 2013 . . . smh! So disgusted. I will never never never never never never never never never use the USPS again to send a package. Will either use fed ex or ups.

Well this is where my motorcycle blower is setting, or not. Kind of funny the guy lives in CA, tells me that hes friends with the postmaster, and ships my $8k part USPS standard parcel and not insured, after the bike builders had to keep calling him to see if it was finished? After seeing over 500 complaints on the internet about this place losing or stealing stuff, that was either beyond crazy of him or it was intentional. Its been going on for years, this guy has been shipping parts for over 20 years, and he didnt know about problems with this shipping facility?? The bike builders were telling him that they were in a rush for it and after he ran out of excuses they finally got a tracking number, paid the bill, and its now missing?? The blower builder was telling the bike guy that he was burnt out and almost done with everything, Ive came to the conclusion that he intentionally sent it (possibly not fixed) in a way where it was likely to be lost or stolen (Bell Gardens). This makes it look like someone elses fault, not his. A guy that is burnt out is likely to shut his doors any day so the chances of getting mine back or a replacement would not be good, unless he is trying to make more money by wanting to charge to build a "new" one or he did happen to send it and someone at this facility decided to take it, which is very likely after reading so many complaints on Google, Yelp, and Facebook....guess we wait a couple more days before flying to CA!

Not surprised to see the locals unhappy with this post office. I spend about 20K a year on u.s. mail and for some reason anything that ever goes through this god-forsaken post office takes 2-3 times longer than any other post office Ive ever experienced. Especially Priority mail packages. I just had a return from a customer that ordered from me through Amazon - I shipped right away - and it took 6 days to get to them. Only one day to get from our post office in Portland, OR to Bell Gardens, then 5 more days to get to a Beverly hills address. The first time I realized this post office should probably just shut down and have everybody fired in the place was a couple years ago at Christmas Time. We had a rush order going to the Conan Show and they never got there in time. I dread any time I see anybody order from the L.A. area if they actually want their order in a timely manner because it has to go through the Bell Gardens Facility. And people wonder why the post office is going under. Get a clue. I know working for the post office is a thankless job but it is a job. If you dont want to do it Im sure theres somebody else that would.

i have a package that left buckeye , AZ for me in VA... it went west to bell gardens and arrived on 5/17/2016 ... it is now 5/21/2016 and the package was estimated to be here on 5/23/2016. and POOF... guess what ... youre NOT gong to believe this without ANY in between tracking ... it SUDDENLY shows up near me ... I sent two packages the same day on the 14th from Sacramento to Florida. They were sent at the same time to the same location, Both were supposed to be delivered Monday. It is Wednesday and one package was delivered. The second one is sitting in Bell Gardens CA since Sunday after sitting in RIchmond CA since the 15th. Of course you cant get in touch with anyone at the USPS office. How do two packages leave the same facility at the same time going to the same place and one travels up and down CA and cant seem to find its way out of the state, but the other one does? Reading all the other posts, I dont have much hope that my daughter will receive her package at all, let alone by Christmas. I should have gone UPS...only went USPS because USPS will deliver to apartments office. But, from now on, UPS and my daughter can go pick it up at the UPS office. First Christmas away from her and she wont even get her gifts. Really pissed.
