Just a quick note to follow up my phone call last week to A Better Moving Company. As I let Caleb know, we received the cat post last week. Thank you for your efforts in getting it to us. Our cat may not realize the effort you put into it, but we certainly appreciate it! Now that everything has arrived(including Building materials ordered through Tampa), were ready to begin building our home and are pretty much settled in. I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for your service and follow up. It was a huge ordeal for us due to the cross-country move, leaving family and friends, and dealing with adjustment to a whole new culture. We are glad that we made the decision to hire A Better Moving Company to handle the move. We could not have done it without your services. We especially appreciate your communication and concer, Steve. Whenever I had an issue to discuss or left a message at the office, you always returned my phone calls promptly and responded to the concerns or questions. In the midst of the chaos and emotional trauma on our end, we are truly grateful. Take care and good luck!

Do not use this company if youre shipping internationally. This was the first time ever we chose to ship internationally. Better Moving Company did not inform us that we needed to have customs forms executed prior to shipping. Our belongings arrived in September 2011. It is the end of November and our belongings are still sitting 800 miles away from the final destination. We were not informed that, as well, we would have to pay yet another hefty fee once our belongings arrived with the shipping company with whom Better Moving Co. contracts. We paid thousands of dollars for the services requested from Better Moving Co. and their representative concerned himself only with informing us our belongings arrived in Mexico. We are still in the U.S. and have experienced many obstacles in our attempts to communicate with the Mexican shipping company. Especially if youre shipping to a remote rural town outside the country, forget about using Better Moving Co.. These matters are not their specialty whatsoever.

My husband and I were moving from Folsom to So. Lake Tahoe. After getting several quotes we decided to go with A Better Moving Co. mainly because Steve was so nice and professional over the phone. He sent Marissa out who gave us a written estimate. The price was $1230.00 to move our 2 br condo. When Jeff and Jeremy showed up I was immediately impressed by how quickly and efficiently they loaded all our possessions into the truck. we had everything set up and the move was completed by 5 oclock that same day; we were able to sleep in our own beds that night. It wasnt until the next day until we started unpacking and putting all the boxes away, that we realized how much stuff we actually had. we were amazed at how fast they were able to complete our move with absolutely no damages. I recently told my sister about A Better Moving and she had a very similar experience. If I owned a company I would want these guys working for me. They really do go the extra mile.

Okay it was the day before Thanksgiving and we forgot about getting day labor from the Home Depot parking lot nearby. We told A Better them it would take less than an hour, they said the lowest they could go was $150 - 1&half hours. It took them 45 minutes during which they ate protein bars, drank from drink containers, used our bathroom. They came to our condo complex in a huge truck to unload a U-Haul trailer. All they had to do was take stuff out of the trailer which I, an old lady, set up for them to take up a flight of stairs and place in the front room. We were NOT IMPRESSED. The next time we got 2 guys from the Home Depot parking lot, they unloaded a U-Haul truck for $75. Without the attitude, I must say. Muchas Gracias. Buenas Suerte a sus familias day labor guys.

They had a sense of humor that was welcome amid the stress of moving from a big house to a smaller one after 30 years! They were absolute professionals and the proof came when they tore down and moved my husbands 95 year old Steinway baby grand piano. He was impressed with their obvious expertise as he watched every step of the process to move his ""baby"". We had also hired them previously to move my father from Los Angeles to Sacramento. The price was very fair and the crew expertly handled some very special heavy items like a huge antique music box. They were so sweet and helpful to my elderly father who was making a big change. This was a long distance move and we were so happy with them we hired them again for our move from El Dorado County to Sacramento.

Do not use this company. They are scam artists who take advantage of unsuspecting people. We hired them to move some of our heavier furniture from the home we sold to a rental home about 3 miles away. Cost at the end of a 12 hour day $5000.00. The guys milked the clock carrying items such as a single lamp and even moved a washer and dryer that we specifically said stayed with the house. I have posted on Yelp the pictures of the mess they left our rental house in but the owner keeps deleting them. They are trying to buy our silence with $300. I wouldnt be silent for any mount of money. I dont want what they did to us to happen to anyone else. What ever you do hire another company because this one is just in it for the money.

Our neighbors used this company to move. When the moving truck arrived, they parked their truck and completely blocked our driveway. My husband asked the driver and his assistant to move the truck around so it would not block our access to the house. They responded, "I will move it if you ask nicely". The situation escalated and my husband called the home office to have them move their truck. They still didnt move stating that they only had 30 more minutes left (they were there for four more hours). Meanwhile, the driver continued to taunt us with more comments as he still refused to move his truck. In the end, the police had to be called before they would unblock our driveway.

It started with the initial quote, the friendly yet professional approach was greatly appreciated. This was during a time of renovations and it was important to know this portion would be handled smoothly. the men organized my furniture safely and effectively in the garage and had it packed really really well. They were clean and considerate and cautious of my walls, freshly painted walls and newly laid floors. In moving things back in they were even more effective as a team, having had moved my things out. Kyle ran the team really well and kept things moving at a good pace. Thank you for making this a smooth part of my renovations.

A Better Moving & Storage Co. helped me move up to San Francisco at the beginning of June. They braved the steep San Francisco streets, and even managed to parallel park in front of my building! I booked this move very last minute, and was amazed at how smoothly everything went. It also ended up being the same price as was estimated to me, which I appreciated tremendously. I would definitely recommend this moving company to anyone who values professionalism, precision and care, and a friendly group of workers who value their jobs.
