The staff is OK but not too attentive. Im not sure if there is a training program as the service was not consistent. Having frequented the Grove location, I must say this is a step down. If the service is elevated, they will see more traffic. This was my first visit and it failed to impress. The evening was not busy yet I had to ask the host to inquire about our server. (the restaurant was at least half-empty) I ordered the beef brisket which met my standards but another order from our party initially came to our table burnt. The item was returned but the replacement once again failed to meet the basic standard. The service is definitely the low point of the visit and the food was average. Although I would recommend the restaurant, I would recommend an alternative location. You should visit the Grove location if you want attentive service!

I have lived in Cerritos for 25 years and I have to say their bar tender is least kind of all at least to a certain ethnicity. There were three groups including us and we were the only Asians. We have never been asked of if we needed anything and there was no kindly expression at all. We probably spent the most bucks there out of all at the time being. Not that I expect special treatment because I spent the most bucks, but that says everything. I totally regret that I went there and my boss and I feel really crappy. If youre Asian and you want to treat out someone VIP, I highly recommend some place else. Try TGIF, BJs, or Roadhouse Grill in LB, if you want the same type of food and drink. Much better food and services offered there at a better prices.

I had only average expectations as I stopped in for dinner here on a work trip in 2009. The food is far superior to a Chillis as one reviewer compared. I would describe the menu at this "local chain" to be most similar to an Outback Steakhouse, but heavy on the BBQ. Quality of my entre and sides was great for a mid-tier restaurant. This is no "Zagat" 26, but for what it is, this was a very good experience for food, service and ambiance. A very good choice for friends, family or a very low-key work outing. I did not see any small children, so I think it caters to a crowd of older kids and adults. Price were similar to an Outback and the bar was large and nice. Worth a visit, especially if you like a mainstream steak or BBQ.

Visited on Valentine Weekend and could not have had a better experience anywhere! Wait shorter than expected and communicated by messaging on phone. Best system have ever experienced. friendly hostess and service personnel. very attentive and competent. Made you feel like a guest in a home. Food was outstanding. Tri-tip huge and melts in your mouth. Great taste and texture. Prepared as requested. Peanut slaw and smashed sweet potatoes were great complement to the meal. This is THE place for a special dining night out in the area! You will not be disappointed.

Classy BBQ... thats it in a nut shell. Listen, Im not going to wax philosophical about a BBQ place, it anit fittin. The food is great here... large menu with lots of great choices. Im a fan of the baby back ribs and the tri-tip. The sides are good, and you get enough to eat. Its a cut above any other BBQ place in town if ambiance is important to you. This is a very nice place... the building is interesting and its got a great upscale vibe. You dont stand in line and you dont have to go get your own drink. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Ordered party platters for Christmas Eve which were supposed to include beef ribs, BBQ chicken, tri tip, and baby back ribs. At pick up carry out trays labeled appropriately; at home discovered tri tip not included in tray labeled tri tip. We called, ended up speaking with manager, who apologized only after conducting rather patronizing interrogation to satisfy herself we werent attempting some elaborate beef related scam. It was all rather disappointing. Next time will take business else where.

The quality of the food is outstanding, the prices are fair. The best burger around for $10 and the free range chicken is one of my favorites. What makes Wood Ranch extra special is their side dishes. Each one is a delight, where a normal restaurant just throws some overcooked Calif. Mix, Wood ranch offers an unique coleslaw, grilled corn on the cob, 3+ types of beans, baked potatoes, asparagas, and more. Dont let me forget about the rolls.

I live around Cerritos but Ive only tried this place recently and I was impressed. I got the Atlantic grilled salmon and it was sooo goood. I have to come back and try their honey BBQ shrimp. Its a tad pricey but to be honest, its not bad for a steakhouse. Its a bit of a wait though. But if youre not hungry, then you should definitely try. P.S. you must try their BBQ Chicken potato skins! Im going to try to imitate it at home.

Food is awesome. Very well flavored. Service is almost non-existent. No water refills, once food was delivered noone came back until we waved down another employee. Birthday cake was delivered and they left the table and never came back. They didnt offer a dessert menu. We then had to ask again if we could have a server come over with dessert menu. No more birthdays over here. Thats for sure

Great place, everything sounded terrific I had a really hard time choosing. I tried the ribs, most places have tough over cooked ribs thankfully this was the opposite, oh and the BBQ sauce was amazing ... one really must try the mac and cheese its unlike anything youd expect I was blown away, hell how good can mac and cheese be, just try it and see for yourself

Waiter was having a bad day but she dropped us and had an other of her Coworkers help us and she was better. My house Tri tip, mc-cheese and mashed sweet potatoes were Delicious. My opinion is my family and I did not meet cliental preference, because all the folks around me (not Hispanic) were getting served the proper way. Food Great Service Bad

My first visit to this restaurant, and I was drawn to it by the smell in the parking lot. The food was so tasty that I had to order a take out for dinner. I had the chicken @ the restaurant and the ribs for dinner. The service was so great that I had to compliment the my server. I will be there again soon.. Nehru

We went Monday for lunch with two babies. We had wonderful service! The staff brought out a small plate of snacks for the babies and brought out their food early so we could get them settled before the rest of us ate. They really took care of us. It was an excellent experience that i will remember for a long time!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in CA. Its owned by a Korean family and they serve Argentinian food. Its so good and they are really good hearted people. If you live or visit CA, this small Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill is a must go to. I highly recommend the Ranch BBQ. The Grill is very good too.
