My daughter and I took self defense lessons from Tim and we learned so much! Not only was it a great work out, but the info Tim shared with us gave my 18 year old a great insight to how not to be a victim (very important since she went off to college in the Fall). Learning to shout out and not be intimidated is sooo important. Also, defending ourselves for 2 minutes was the hardest workout. This wasnt only true for the women in the class. One man said he runs, rock climbs and whole lot of other cardio/strength stuff and he said it was a truly humbling experience to watch us and then defend himself. All of us were sweating profusely. I highly recommend this place for a work out or even a few months defense class like I did.

Tim, the head coach from 5 Elements Combat Arts,†was invited to my†office to help us with a†health contest that we were having.††I found†Tim to have†great knowledge not only of martial arts, but about†fitness in general.† He also had a good understanding of the capabilities and needs of the different age groups that were participating.† His upbeat and energetic point of view made it easy to work with him.

Great gym, great people. This place is legit - the facility is clean, classes and instruction are effective, and the owners are kind and very knowledgeable. Best of all is the vibe- theres no pressure to sign up or hidden fees/contracts to be wary of. Im grateful to have found this place, Mike helped me develop an effective strength training routine.

Tim asked me to leave a review as he is trying to help grow his business. So, I just wanted to say that his techniques are good and I really like the dedication and passion he has for the sport. If you are looking for a small - almost private martial arts training facility I would recommend you check him out. -Steve O
