The woman working there with brown hair and black glasses was exceptionally rude. Her "Can I help you?" sounds like a "What do you want." Her voice got louder with annoyance when i simply asked if I can replace an envelope I mislabeled since she wouldnt accept it. I then asked for the price of an envelope i was going to replace and she simply said, waving me off: "go over there where all the stuff is and see for yourself." When I got back in line, Linh helped me and she was a bit nicer. I figured that this post office wouldnt be as bad as the one in my residential town (when it comes to customer service), but this post office takes the cake for being the worst that Ive ever been to. I am amazed as to how these workers are still there when its evident they dont enjoy their jobs.

Waited more than half an hour just to pick up mail. On top of that I gave my pick up slip to one of the guys working the pick up line and Im guessing to make the line go faster he decides to help two people at a time. More than ten minutes later he shows up without my package and helps out the people that were behind me, he finishes with them and asks me if Ive been helped. Are you kidding I gave you my slip and he still asks me if Im sure of course I am sure. He lost my slip how responsible of him. Came in before everybody that was behind me and left last. Yes there was a long line Im not exaggerating.

I have had too many packages "lost". Not sure what is going on. The most recent case, the computer showed that they try to deliver but that I wasnt home. I was home all day and they never left a notice. Now they cant find my package at the post office. Grrrr! One time, they returned my package because they said they didnt know what apartment I was in. However, they also noted in the computer that they left me a notice. How do you leave a notice for someone you "supposedly" have no clue what apartment they live. Very frustrated.

They lied about my mail and they blame it on the holiday for it being late. And it wasnt late. Lazy. Not trust worthy. Wouldnt trust them with my mail. A woman sent me a letter on the fifth of September got it on the 12th. But another person sent me a letter on the second of September and i got it on the 12th and the first person was from Oregon. Second was in California. and they said the mail wasnt late. It should have been there by the 7th. Always get the letter by the 7th day of any month.

Bad and horrible service!!! You offer FREE!! Pick up service and DONT pick up when scheduled. I told the mail man one day when he went to drop off mail, that their is a pick up schedule and he asked me if I would buy him lunch because he was going to take my stuff!!! That is the most rediculous thing I have ever herd!!! When you have any problems you let them know and they dont care and do not do anything about it!!! Worst customer service ever!!! If you do not like what you do get out!!!!

Stuff gets lost for no apparent reason. Magazines dont show up (only 7 out of 12 Popular Science showed up last year). Packages some times come damaged and they claim its done overseas (could be true but happens too often). Deliveries do not match online tracking, and the usual excuse is no one is home, when Im at home all day waiting for said package - this is especially annoying around the holiday season. But hey, its your Post Office, its not like you can do anything about it.

Terrible, never get my stuff or its in another persons inbox. Im getting a PO in a different city. Its literally one of the reasons I hate buying stuff online. This post office discourages me from buying anything online. I dont know what idiots they hire to deliver what shouldnt be too difficult to deliver. Im harsh because Im giving my hard earned cash for something I expect at my bloody home. And it seems its all lain to waste for some nincompoops who cant deliver on their job.

absolutely terrible. they said they will redelivery my package 3 days ago and I still have yet got it. Ive been calling them for over an hour 20+ times and they refuse to pick up the phone. service is rude and all they say is to go ask the supervisor which I cant do because they wont pick up the phone. if I can give it a lower rate I would. I suggest people to avoid using this post office at all costs. your packages will get lost or delivered to the wrong house

Michelle at El Monte PO has been exceptional! I called from London, England regarding package I sent with wedding clothes that needed to reach by certain day. USPS delayed this. I contacted El Monte and spoke with Michelle. Although she could not get my package she located the location, advised me and was very attentive and helpful. USPS PLEASE HIRE MORE PEOPLE LIKE MICHELLE AND YOU WONT HAVE AS MANY COMPLAINT. Michelle you are an asset to the post office!

They are rude when you ask them questions, as if you should already know the answers. My postman actually writes notices on our envelopes. (He should be using official notices, but he thinks its ok to write stuff on our mail.) The phone number they have here doesnt ring, and obviously never picks up. I told the USPS headquarters that the phone number is not in service, so they might have fixed it. I go out of my way to visit a different location.

By reading all peoples posts seems this post office has lost packaging issues ......my package had to be delivered by Nov 1, 2014 and didnt receive nothing i tracked the tracking number and it says package has been delivered on Oct 31, 2014 and now i call and they dont return my calls whats going on with this place and there lost packages ........ i work all day until 6:30 at least the mail man should have left the yellow note on my door right ?

Terrible service! I needed one of my label to be tapped on my package and Im supposed to buy their tape to use like 5 inches when not too long ago the representative had tapped my label to make sure the sticky part of the already stocked label wont come off during shipment which was very generous. But now all of a sudden I have to put out extra money for a little piece of tape on top of that, out of the country postal is not cheap either...

The El Monte Post office on Valley has Terrible service and management. Among many other problems I have experienced with them, the mail carrier never delivers our packages or a notification of a package is waiting for us. The only notification we ever get is the final attempt. Super lazy!! The packages should be brought into the store. The manager is an idiot he just increases the problems by his own laziness.

The employees here are completely rude and incompetent at their job. It seems everytime I come in they are being rude to a customer. The workers are mostly asian and barely speak English. They could care less about their job. Ive seen several arguments in there between them and customers in the few times I go there. Unfortunately this post office is the closest one to me. They need a change in management asap.
