I havent read a GOOD review for Charter yet - and Ive looked on several websites! Their technician was friendly enough, but I would like to lodge a complaint about their website and internet ordering ... there are three options to choose from if you dont bundle: tv, internet or phone. We only wanted internet, so I ordered it and scheduled the visit online. After it was installed, I didnt see a router, so I said wait, wheres the router? Oh you wanted wifi, you didnt order wifi! Thatll be another $30 month and a second installation charge. Huh? Why isnt wifi a fourth option on your website?? why were there only three to choose from? Who gets internet without wifi anymore anyway? Is this a joke? No, not a joke, just a way to deceive customers from knowing that wifi, which took him all of 10 more minutes to install, will cost us another $30/mo. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! If there was another internet provider on our private road that isnt via satellite, and if they were honest on their website about wifi, I would disconnect from Charter right now and go for the other guy...EVEN if I had to forego my installation charges. I will give them this, they waived the second installation charge for the wifi because I "misunderstood" their website. I didnt misunderstand. They misrepresented. Intentionally. I bet they do this every single day. CHARTER, PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS AND TO A VALUE CALLED INTEGRITY. MAYBE YOUR REVIEWS WILL GO UP. ONES AND TWO STARS ARENT VERY GOOD. GET A GRIP!

Well where do I start... I called bc charter is the only one for high speed net but I also went with the cable. The ONE AND ONLY CHANNEL i ask for in HD was SPEED. The agent said they had it and bla bla bla. Install happened and they only hooked up one tv (I asked for 2). 1st thing I check are the HD channels and there were something like 15 (that was it)!!! And to top it off none of them were SPEED. Then I checked the "On Demand" well nothing flat out nothing... but that it was the guy was bla bla blaing about in the 1st place and come to find out I dont get it. At that piont I had it, called them and sd come get your garbage. I had the service all of 2 weeks, so when I tell them this the guy tells me there is a $29 cancel fee. Something about the tech having to turn off the service WTF!!!

Its Its a small office but renovated and comfortable. Only one person was working the desk (Saturday). I had to pick up a new cable modem and report on the broken cover of the access box in my front yard. I waited about 3 min in line; after that it took me another 3 min to get a new modem and another few minutes to get the broken box logged. Guy was polite and efficient. Only reason why Im not giving it a 5 star rating is because he said the modem should just work when I plug it in, but instead I had to call and get the modems MAC address registered from my old modem to the new one. That took another 15 min on the phone with customer service, but the lady was polite and efficient.

Looking for home internet service since I just moved into this area and found out that Charter is the only service available here. I called Charter for the first time to get pricing and info. The person that answered the phone was not helpful at all with no customer service skills, she came across not caring about my business. Not having a choice of another provide then Charter, I called again and the person had the same attitude; showing no interest in my business. He comment was to go online to get the better pricing. I will not give me business to Charter.

Had Charter Communications over a year ago -- when returning the cable box and modem after closing my account, I specially asked the the customer service person what closing balance was, she said ZERO. Got an alert from credit monitoring service today (9/14/2014) that Charter Communications sent me over to a collection company ENHANCED RECOVERY COMPANY in FL saying that I owed $214 and hitting my credit score for 14pts. Tried contacting the collection company to figure out whats going but the its apparently closed due to the weekend.... What the HECK!!!!!!!!!

They closed and did not let people go in 5 min before 1PM after I drove a long distance to "catch" their office hour. It is the worst service ever. If I could give me negative stars, I would choose it. I will never ever used their service. The signal is unstable. I called the service and they kept questioning if it must be the issue of my side. Terrible service - they came multiple times to connect the service at the first time to waste my time. They could not fix the issue on single visit.

It is entirely too difficult to reach someone and to explain the problem. On the other hand, a tech came out yesterday to see why my new recover I had driven 30 miles to get didn;lt work (it was bad-lack of qc), pretty much rewired my house. My systems work great except for the bad modem which now has to be replaced, The working people are terrific, the product sucks a lot, but is probably the best we can do so long as we continue with monopolies.

They do come out to "fix" my internet issues. However, the system still slows down during the day or just stops working. I truly wonder if I am really getting fast streaming (that I am paying for) or not. I will just have to see if the new box will work or if it will start having issues like the last two in the past month. I wish there was actual competition between these companies for them to really provide a good service at a reasonable price.

I do not know what this people are talking about. You can call Charter Tech support anytime. The Internet is lightening and will increase x 2 in August. I do have the best package now with a number of HD channels. That will increase in August also. Just do not any complaints. Did not give a 5 because they could have a better line-up and search capabilities. Also a larger hard drive to store your recorded programs. DirecTV has them there.

These guys will sell you one package and charge you something higher...consumer be aware. The customer service simply sucks- get ready for a horrible experience with these guys. Theyre the only internet and cable provider in Morgan Hill, CA so get it in writing which they wont do but try because they are liers and are committing fraud.
