So there I was, a young Elyos Assassin, looking for the secret island of Tigraki. Legend has it that the residents of this island possess ancient flight technology and I have been sent to retrieve it by the great Commander Tellus! It has been a long journey across the land of Reshanta. I have faced many perils along the way which threaten my HP bar. But alas, I have prevailed thus far and smote thy enemies back to the abyss. The evil Asmodian players have tried to intercept my mission and thwart my research for Tellus, but I have evaded their grasp. I am finally here, at the edge of the northernmost island in Reshanta. I look out across the sky and can see the lost Tigriki Island in the distance. Only one more creature stands in my way... The little creature resembled a bunny. Nothing threatening in appearance, but my aggro detection radar tells me this little bunny rabit is a mean one and he is 3 levels my elder. I know that despite the cute red eyes of these little monster and his soft white fur, I must prepare myself for battle. So I buffed myself with critical damage, attack speed, and evasion battlecrys and charged towards the unsuspecting bunny, thoughts of a stew already distracting me a little. I spring on him using ambush, stunning the little hairball and begin my combo strikes which bring his health bar to a crashing fall! This is overkill I suspect, the little bunny can barely fight back and will soon face his doom. But wait! What is this? Suddenly I cannot swing my daggers any longer and none of my combos will work! Has the little demon bunny cast a paralysis curse on me or silenced my attacks? If so, then why does he also do nothing! It is as if we are both caught in some type of temporal snare where time has stopped! I spam my skills and attack, hoping that when time resumes, I will have defeated this sorcerer bunny. But then it happened! "You have been disconnected from the server!" DAMN YOU THIS EVIL BOX OF DISCONNECTION!!! When I awoke, I had been resurrected by the priests in a nearby village. They explained they had found by body, slowly being eaten by famished bunnys. 173,000 of my experience points had been lost. The bunnys magic was weak, but the evil curse of this "Charter" demon had defeated me. I took a vow then to vanquish the evil entity, "Charter", I hope other will join me. - Vellon Lvl 32 Elyos Assassin

Ill be honest, I switched to charter from DSL because DSL was even worse. I had charter internet for about 3 years and their tv service for about 1.5. Didnt have too many issues, other than their ridiculous prices and their push for stupid packages. But recently in our college age house, we all moved out for the summer, and decided to reduce the speed of the internet to the lowest tier and cancel the tv service. On 6/17/10 they were supposed to do the disconnect. When the next bill came it was the same amount (~$115) where it should have been approximately $35. I spoke to another representative on 7/22/10 who informed me that the technicians could not get to the cable tap in the back yard, although there are two separate gates, neither of which are locked, that lead to the back yard. They never called or contacted me to inform me there was a problem. The representative apologized profusely and told me shed send a tech out on the 26th, and that shed "back-date" my bills so that it would provide me the credit I should have had with the reduced service (nearly $200). I was happy. They disconnected the service on the 26th (now that apparently they could see the gates), and I contacted them on the 31st to make sure that the credit had been provided. The new representative I spoke to informed me that actually, I only was going to get a credit of $38.47! Needless to say I was floored, and the new representative was both rude and condescending, making me out to be the bad guy and in the fault. Then had the gall to try to give me a $20 credit to "make everything all right." For less than 3!! days of service, they want me to STILL pay $77.** ! UNFATHOMABLE! The representative informed me that I could go to the local office to talk to them and receive my chat transcripts. Problem is Im living in Washington state, over 1000 miles away for at least several more months! AND THE LOCAL OFFICE DOESNT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER! Completely ridiculous. At this point Im definitely canceling my service, even if it means going back to DSL, and well see about the consequences for not paying a bill or charging back the service. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM IF POSSIBLE, AND IF YOU DO, MAINTAIN CHAT TRANSCRIPTS AND RECORDINGS WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

Worst service ever! We had charter internet installed today after getting rid of charter 2 years ago. The time 2 years ago, we did not part with a good relationship. One day, we were having trouble with connecting to the internet. We called charter and they sent me to some customer service person in a different country. I was following the instructions and the problem was not fixed. The customer service person was insistent I was not following his instructions and said that he didnt know why they let WOMEN mess with computers. We got rid of them after that mess, but the trouble wasnt over. They had charged us for a month after we had disactivated the service and when I found out there was a bill due and tried to correct it, Charter insisted we owed money. Finally I found proof that I had disactivated the service, but charter had already sent it to a collection agency! They took my money and hurt my credit. Now, in my quest for faster internet, had pushed that all aside and installed charter 1. The internet is slower. 2. The guy that installed it roamed around our house coming in and out. I have kids, I dont know this person, I dont know if they are going to take anything. He came up to one of my daughters and tells her to start typing things in to our laptop. 3. Customer service calls to do a follow up survey, I answer honestly and since I was not satisfied they transferred me to a person to let them know why I was frustrated. He tried saying that they can send more people and equipment out to install and help us with set up. That wasnt even the problem! I didnt like him roaming around my house and coming up to my kids. I thought I did a clear job explaining my issue, but the guy didnt get it... or didnt care. I didnt need him to fix anything, just to seem concerned and say that they will look into it... they dont even try to pretend to care. I am getting rid of them ASAP before they drive me crazy...again.
