Ive bought a few parts here, including some $100 water filters that seem to be overpriced. However, its hard to find them anywhere else, so I guess youre gonna pay. I have heard that this is one of the few places around that carries a large supply of parts, including hard-to-find items, so Im sure they get a lot of customers. The last time I was here for a faucet part, I got the wrong one, but was able to exchange it with no problem, even though I had opened the package. The counter person was very helpful, & spent considerable time on the computer finding the correct part. I read some of the other reviews about overcharging for services. If this is true, its very unfortunate. I would suggest getting multiple estimates and/or referrals from friends whenever you need any type of repair service!

Ive bought few faucet parts before here that were extremely over priced, but paid for the convenience. This time I dealt with a rude guy behind the counter. I asked him to borrow a pair of pliers or wrench and he claimed he didnt have any. Whether he did or not, he doesnt need to have a nasty attitude. Furthermore its hard to imagine a plumbing shop with no tools. He told me to go get the stem removed and bring it back. I politely told him if I leave, Ill just go somewhere where else where they care and have some customer service. He said "sorry Im not a plumber, Im just a sales guy". Hes actually neither. If hes the owner, he shouldnt be in business and if its an employee then the owner deserves this 1 star review for hiring him. Hes lucky there isnt a zero star rating

Had these guys out once and they did a great job on a simple fix. Next time out they created an emergency to try and panic me into a bad decision. The price they quoted ($12K) was so high that I decided to get a second opinion. Lucky I did, the competitive quote was 80% cheaper for the same job. IMO Geers is everything youre afraid of when you have an "expert" come and do work at your home in that they leverage expertise to try and unnecessarily take money out of your pocket. So disappointing. :-( If I call them again it will certainly be with a high level of caution. Any "emergency" will be taken with a grain of salt and Ill always get a second opinion. I encourage you to do the same.

Over priced ! My 80 year old mom had them replace her tankless water heat while I was on vacation. The plumber recommended the Navier NPE-240s-NG for her 1200 sq foot SR home. No other products suggested. The total bill was $4525. $1600 was labor and parts were charged at retail. Over all Geers got away will at least a $2100 pay day for less than 4 hours work. Gill, I expect all trade professionals to get paid, but also expect them to make cost appropriate recommendations for the uninformed. I am very surprised that this business has been operating since 1958 and obviously will not been using them again!

Absolutely terrible. I went in there to pick up something my handyman had asked be held for him (he called earlier in the day). Gil, the "salesperson" ignored me and made me wait. Once he finally came to the front he was rude, unprofessional, belligerent and nasty. He actually told me not to come back to his store. This was one of the worst retail experiences Ive ever had. If I was the owner I would be ashamed to have this guy representing me and my company. Dont worry Gil, I never be back and will tell all my friends and everyone reading this to avoid Geers.

My elderly parents had an issue and they had to shut off the water. They called to have them come out and left stating it would be 1500 or so to fix. Left them and said they would be back on Monday and charged over 200 for the visit with no solution and left my elderly parents without running water to the house. I called a friends refferal to come check and give second opinion and 45 minutes later the pipe was capped and they had running water and he charged less for the fix than this company charged to walk away with no fix, just a possible 1500+ bill. SMH.

Walked in to retail location, waited for a while for someone to come out from the back. Store is like 1970s hardware store with long counter and one-way mirror. I explained problem with broken part regarding soap dispenser on the kitchen sink. Salesman said I would not be able to replace a part on the soap dispenser and he recommended that I buy a complete soap dispenser kit. I left discouraged and decided to look online to find the broken piece. Within 30 minutes I found the exact part on Amazon for $7 and ordered with free shipping.

I called and asked for a quote to replace a hot water recirculation pump. Geers quoted me $400 to $500 to replace it. They got here looked at it for less then 10 seconds and said it will cost $695 to replace it. I said thats not what I was quoted he opened his book and had a form that said cost to replace hot water recirculation pump $695. I realized that they just quoted me a fair price one the phone with the intention of charging me more once they were here. I did not end up using them, but would not call them again.

We hired this company on the recommendation of our neighbor. The plumber the company sent had no idea where the water shut off valve was located. When my husband called to complain he was given an attitude. Long story short, nothing got done and we were charged $125 cash (wouldnt take a credit card).
