I rented a small unit at this location. Initially Austin was helpful in getting me the unit and I previously gave this facility 4 stars. Upon close inspection of my "new account receipt" I discovered that I was charged twice for the very expensive lock, and charged the pro rate for the insurance at the time of move in PLUS an additional month of insurance. I moved in on June 15th, so I get paying the pro rate for the unit plus pro rate for the insurance. BUT why was I charged for another whole month of insurance a month in advance when the total charge for each month INCLUDES the cost of the insurance???? My advice is: Do not rent here. It seems that they are money hungry and just about the reviews posted. Austin was helpful, however, he was the one putting in the numbers and compiling my receipt. The manager, whom Ive never met, hounds employees to get customers to write reviews...MAYBE THE MANAGER SHOULD BE MORE CONCERNED WITH OVER CHARGES AND ANSWERING PHONE CALLS WHEN CUSTOMERS HAVE AN ISSUE.......IM JUST SAYING....... Ive put numerous calls into this location and have not yet received one call back. However, I did receive a call on July 1st around 10am reminding me to pay my bill!!! SERIOUSLY?! You call me on the first to tell me to pay my bill AFTER OVERCHARGING ME? Go F YOURSELF! PROS: SOMEWHAT CHEAP PRICES COMPARED TO SURROUNDING FACILITIES CONS: *CHEAP PRICES, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR *NO ONE TO RETURN CALLS WHEN YOU HAVE AN ISSUE *EMPLOYEES WHO HOUND YOU TO POST POSITIVE YELP REVIEWS *SOME TYPE OF MAINTENANCE ALWAYS GOING ON WITH THEIR FACILITY....INCONVENIENT DO NOT RENT A UNIT HERE. PAY THE EXTRA $10 FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! TRUST ME

What a terribly managed business! I rented a unit while I was in between apartments. On my move out date, I rented a Uhaul truck to move all my furniture out and into my new place. When I came in, the gate was wide open. There was nobody at the office and it was locked even though it was at noon during normal business hours so I couldnt borrow a dolly or flat cart. There was an alarm going off and the elevator wasnt working so I realized a flat cart wouldnt work anyways. Apparently the power was out on the entire 2nd floor. My unit was on the third floor and I had already rented the truck so I had no choice but to move all my furniture and belongings down 3 flights of stairs by myself. I tried calling the corporate office (which is a pain in itself to get a live person on the phone rather than an automated menu) to report what was going on and they were just as surprised as I was that nobody was in the office. They "tried" getting a hold of the regional manager to see what was going on and that they would get back to me, but I didnt hear any later updates. Without anybody in the office, I had to come back later in the week to close out my account. They wouldnt even prorate the month or give me anything for my troubles. Ive never written a review on this site before, but I had to make one for this just so I could let everyone know to never trust this business. Worst experience ever.

WARNING: Entirely negative experience at this place. All of my items were stolen and every day that goes by I realize another thing that is missing. Dont store anything here that you even remotely care about. There is a thief at this facility taking advantage of complete lack of security. One security camera at the front gate and building left open 24 hours a day. The only thing that closes is the gate at a certain hour, but that doesnt keep somebody entering by foot. Police even pointed out that other units have been broken into when they came to investigate. Staff was difficult to get a hold of, can do little to nothing to stop any sort of theft, and wont let you review security footage unless police request it. I think its a crime that this place is allowed to function under these conditions and able to advertise this location as safe & secure. The day I put my stuff in this building was a day I wish never happened. I could go on and on about what was stolen, but just beware and choose another facility with better security. Take it from me and dont become another victim of this horrible dirty building. Shame on you Public Storage for allowing a building like this to do business with peoples possessions.

I have rented from many other storage companines including Public Storage at diffent location for my business prior to renting from this Public Storage location, 5566 Bolsa Ave Huntinton Beach. I find this location to b exceptional, all the employees here to be very professional n hospitable especially Clint. Due to the professionalism n courtesy Clint n his staffs have shown me. They have gained my full trust n confidence my belonging will be safe . Ive decided to retained a 2nd storage unit after my 1st month experience , despite the fact this location is 2 miles further away than the Public Storage closest to my office and it was little less expensive as well. This inconvenience n the little extra cost are well worth it, for great friendly service n peace of mind.

I have been here many years, had two large 10X20s at one time, facility and managers are good. But Public Storage punishes storage renters by raising the rent every year. This time after all these years they want an additional $46.00 per month. When I move they will start over with a $1 for the first month and $250.00 per month. If I stay I will be paying $446.0 per month. I can move to another facility, a little further from my home for $129.00 per month same size. Yes will probably cost me $100 plus my time to move. My point enough is enough, Public Storage is a greedy company, if you are thinking about long term, this is not the stop....Unhappy

Today May 17th I came to public storage off of bolsa and Graham in the city of Huntington Beach I was greeted by the manager of the facility name Joy I just want to express how greatly appreciative I am off her amazing customer service skills her knowledge of the product and/or property Im going above and beyond the call of duty for customer service she is a complete asset to your company and you guys should be grateful to have her part of your team my name is Travis bowling Ive been in the customer service industry for over 15 years and I manage a lot of property I would love to have employees like joy

we are preparing for a possible move and have been checking different facilities. We visited Joy on Bolsa Ave, and were met with a friendly face, wonderful attitude, and a warm welcome. Joy answered all our questions, gave us all our options, took us on a tour of the property and was able to show us a couple of empty units so we could better get an idea of what we would need. The property was extremely clean, even the public restroom. Should we need a space during our move, we will without a doubt, be contacting Joy.

We rented a drive up unit here for around 10 years and had a good experience. We moved out a few years ago but need the space again and moved in to another unit today. I was very surprised that the manager remembered us after a 3 year absence. Joy was a joy to work with, no pun intended, and our move-in paperwork took less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this facility and the management really make you feel at home.
