This is a great example of why you shouldnt give five stars before actually experiencing. So I left from work early so I can get my storage. I fill out all the paper work, etc.. come home and take a load there when I find out I have no access to the main gate. I call the number on the gate like I was told, only to find out it was headquarters and the number is only for floods or that kind of emergency. So I wait 30 mins and I see someone coming out. I park on the sensor so that the gate stays open. I unload everything into a cart and struggle my way into my spot only to find out that he didnt even bother to remove the lock pertaining to the facility. I load the truck back AGAIN and leave permanently. Wow... So not only did I lose a day of moving, but I have to go back home to put back all of the load, going all the way back up the stairs, back into my apartment. Double work double sweat, all after a hard day at work. What bothers me the most is that my lady has back problems and she had to strain her back TWICE. Poor thing was struggling taking her belongings back up the stairs to our apartment. I left them a message telling them not to even call for apologies. Theres nothing they can say to make this better, especially when theres 2 employees there. Too bad you cant leave zero stars.

12/24/13 Great Christmas Eve to the readers of this review. I have been a customer at the Extra Space Storage for some years now. I have watch as there has been 4 different Managers come and go during this time. The present Manager (Mr. Nick Merrill) is by far the BEST, polite, professional, and he really show he cares when he speaks with you too, by looking you in the eyes and listening! I have thought of leaving on prior (the reason for the four stars - and not five stars) occasion because the price of the unit continues to go up, regardless of the years you have been a loyal customer! Which is no fault of the Manager (Nick Merrill). Yet, because of Nick and his staff - I personally appreciate the excellent customer service. Thank you Nick & your staff :)

I have been storing my equipment at this facility for many years.. We have 2 big units 20x20. They will do any thing to accommodate your needs. They took off the room partitions to combine two 10x20 units into one. We also have our third 10x20. So that a lot of units we have. They also have space avalible for car/RV parking too. We used to have a 12 trailer park there. There price is very affordable. Best in this area. That why we can afford so many units. Clean place and flexible time to get in the property. Keycode to enter and leave for extra security. Best of all.. Top notch customer service. They will be there when you need them. Dont look anywhere else for place to store your goods.

I chose this facility for the proximity to my home and the fact that it was right next door to U-Haul. Although I read several reviews that their monthly fee had increased soon after moving in , I decided to go ahead with the rental. Sure enough, 4 months later my rental fee increased. Granted...it is understood up front that the rates can increase at any point, but you cant help but wonder--based on my experience and previous reviews--that they have an internal control policy that monitors new move-ins and capitalizes on the fact that most people wont move because of the hassle. Perhaps Im just cynical, but it does give one pause and is a little disappointing.

My experience with this facility has largely been positive. The ONLY complaint I have is the frequency in which the rates increase; especially in this horrible economic climate. I lost my job over 18 months ago and living on unemployment isnt easy. I have been forced to quit taking my prescription medications, as well as cutting down on buying groceries. In addition, with no COLA in my Social Security benefits in the foreseeable future, it seems businesses such as yours would be a little more accomodating as so many are suffering. As far as the facility and staff, they are all just great; always friendly, respectful and pleasant to deal with.

It works for my needs as a student storing extra stuff. The facility is clean. I havent really had any serious issues with the place. The two stars off are because: 1) Initially the access hour restrictions on the main gate were a tad annoying ( Im a night owl, so most productive time for me happened to be off-limits during initial move-in phase.) 2) The facility randomly issued a notice in the mail that they were increasing my fee by $10. As a "broke-student," I didnt appreciate that, but the place still works until I can accommodate the extra stuff.

I just got back from renting a storage unit @ the Valley Blvd location and I got a fantastic online deal. I was in a hurry and Nick was awesome and quick! He was very nice and made sure everything worked before I left. It is a clean facility and the prices at this local is much lower then others and I checked all over the area. I am so happy to have his done and feel my things are secure. I do think the 24$ admin fee should not be there for the beginning of the rental but I am noticing that everywhere nowadays.

I choose Extra Space for its price but then it increased a few months later. It is close to my pad so I have kept it. The staff is knowledgeable when it comes to policies and procedures. When I missed a payment by a day or so, they were "soft" in their approach and called me to remind me. The halls are well lit but I always need a light to see in my small unit. Carts are hard to come by and the trash is usually full. . .usually.

A top notch establishment that I would highly recommend for any storage need. Ive been a very happy customer for over a year now and am consistently impressed by the level of service that Nick and his team provide. I use the facility for business storage and they couldnt make it easier for accepting deliveries, helping me address disposal needs. Etc. They literally make my life easier. Id give them 6 stars if I could!

Felicia is very professional...any questions I have she answers and she is concerned about all her customers at property. I never want her to leave because she she is 1 of the nicest persons working here. When i first went to delinquency. I came to office crying she assured me that i can come up with the money to save my kids things. She is a doll to have here at the property. God blessed my life with her!

My experience with Extra Space Storage in La Puente California has been a very exceptional one starting with the manager of the property Nick it is so very clean throughout the facility they are very professional good with information every time I ask a question. I have referred this Center to family and friends keep up the good work Nick HE needs a raise!

We used this facility for over a year and would not hesitate to use again if needed. The location is very close to the freeway, the facility is kept very clean and everyone that works in the office is friendly and helpful. I checked out the prices of other storage facilities and this was among the lowest. I have recommended this place to my friends.
