I searched the whole city to find a good Handy J Car Wash and finally I found my place! If I could I would give them more than 5 stars! Ive been going here for about 2 or 3 years now and I have never left unsatisfied. The waiting room is always clean and comfortable. Warm in the winters and cool in the summers. The prices are reasonable and they even have specials on certain days/times. The staff is always extremely friendly and courteous. They wash the car, tires, clean your windows and vacuum. They always empty out my little garbage can too! When theyre all done and pull your car up, someone always goes around to make sure theres no water drops anywhere and finish it off with whichever air freshener you want. I just took my moms car there to get washed and she is as happy as I am when I leave there! I highly recommend this Handy J Car Wash!

IF I COULD GIVE A MINUS 5 STARS, THAT WOULD DESCRIBE THIS PLACE AND THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE!!!! My experience there, was a nightmare. They locked my car w keys inside, didnt notify me about it and after 1 h waiting I decided to check it out, thats when I finally became aware of it. They NEVER apologized for anything, they just started trying to force the window open and failed. I decided to call AAA for help. When I went to complaint to the "manager", I was told that "this happens everyday". In summary, a terrible experience for a very mediocre car wash. Not worth your time, money or patience! There are many other better places nearby to go to. Never going back. STAY AWAY FROM HANDY J.

When we need an oil change, well come here. Drop your car off at the service center to the left of the main car wash line. Theyll change your oil, then steer it to the front of the wash queue. While waiting, well walk over to the BBQ place for lunch. Very convenient and symbiotic system they got going here and we love it. Its too bad the people working at the counter are such sourpusses but we just ignore them. The guys who actually do the washing really do a good job. Theres an older gentleman who works here who cant bend his knees; We always tip him extra because even if it is a struggle for him, he still works hard and proud at his job. #inspiring

WHY AM I SCREAMING??? BECAUSE I JUST GOT ROBBED AT THIS PLACE. BROUGHT MY TRUCK IN FOR DETAIL, ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THAT THEY STOLE $4-5 IN QUARTERS OUT OF MY CONSOLE. CALLED MANAGER "RAY" TO COMPLAIN WHO TOLD ME THAT HED GIVE ME FOUR DOLLARS OFF NEXT TIME. LIKE THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME? LIKE IM GOING TO ASK FOR THE "LAST TIME I WAS HERE YOU BASTARDS STOLE FROM ME" DISCOUNT???? AND TO THINK TIPPED THE GUY TWENTY BUCKS. I FEEL LIKE GOING BACK OVER THERE AND ASKING FOR IT BACK. MAYBE I SHOULD JUST CALL IMMIGRATION AND HAVE THE WHOLE FREAKIN PLACE CLOSED DOWN. I WILL BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID THIS JOINT. AVOID!!!!

This place is a joke. I took my car there on Saturday for an oil change and a very lousy car wash. To make matters worse I found out today because they put the wrong oil in my car. They put in 10W/30 when its supposed to be 20W/40. My engine started acting up on my way to work today and, to be safe I took the car to a mechanic that specializes in the type of car I drive. The entire ordeal cost me over 400 dollars and to make matters worse, I called the mechanic there and he actually told me that I needed to ow my car all the way from my office in Irvine and then tells me that if the place I took it to changed the oil, he wasnt liable.

This place is horrible... I took my new suv car to them so they can scratch it. This car is always in my garage and used only for weekends. And the owner said it happened somewhere else but we were out o town for tree weeks. I drove the car two blocks away from them since we live in the area. After they wash it has a fresh made scratch on the sides. The owner was rude and even acting stupid he said not need to see the scratches cuz they didnt do. He send me to see another employe who had nothing to do with. He owns the place and should take care of it but he didnt . Dont risk your cars and take it to them. Plus services sucks....

When I received my car back, a $10 roll of quarters was stolen. When I reported this to the owner, instead of being helpful he screamed at me to "get my ugly face out" and told me I was stupid. I also overheard the cashier explaining that the day before somebody else had $5 in quarters stolen from their vehicle. This place does NOT employ trustworthy workers, and furthermore the owner is extremely rude, uncooperative, and offensive.

Had $150 worth of meds stolen. Not out in the open or in a glove box. I put the envelope in a little hidden space under part of the console hopefully insuring they would be safe till I got home. Someone had to go intentionally looking to find these. Or knew about this particular vehicle and where to look for hidden goidies. You have to remove part if the console to get to this spot. NOT part of a carpet shampoo routine!

for 20$ VIP car wash the car didnt look clean at all. There was no air freshener provided (even though it was paid), lumps of hair found in the car back seat . Dust that remained on the back car seats. When i returned back to say that these were the problem they said they only spray air fresh the car they dont place the fresh air packets which have to bought at an additional cost. Poor job in total. Wont be going back.

I went to this car wash with a $5 off coupon when I pulled up into line I was told I had to go inside to see if I could use the coupon I asked the guy why would I give you my car to wash when Im not sure if I can even use the coupon youre not even told me I couldnt use the coupon and I asked him if you were sure about that and he said yes so I left this guy obviously didnt want my business and he was also very arrogant

i keep a bag of quarters for street parking because everybody loves the santa monica parking enforcement campers (no life). filled my bag with fresh rolls of quarters. the people cleaning my car must have taken at least half of the bag ($10). so a $15 car wash cost me over $25.... then i get my car back and the wheels are still dirty they did not clean the multiple spokes. never coming back to this place!

Took a chance with these guys based on all the great reviews. We werent disappointed. We went in for a full Handy J Car Wash detail and they rocked it. The car had lots of coffee stains, dirt, etc on the interior and now it looks brand new again. These guys are legit and the price is right. Go see them for all your detailing needs. Best shop in the area and Ive been to them all. Juan is the man!!
